oh, don't worry about her parents; just like CA, these type of parents don't mind being thrown to the wolves, anything to save their precious offspring, dontyaknow-- i mean look at JA's mother, laughin in the courtroom; does she look upset to you?

I hate to say it but her mom's smiling and giggling has been so weird and disrespectful to TA's family. Still....my Bible says "honor your mother and father". Of course it also says "thou shalt not kill". Just saying JA has treated them badly!

If I was a juror I would have to discount her entire testimony. But I probably would've had a hard time giving her the death penalty had she NOT taken the stand.

Now, seeing her complete lack of remorse, her chameleon-like psycho personality, her desire to drag Travis through the mud with the "sex tape" and pedophilia claims and, more than that, further hurt his family, I would have no problem voting to send this woman to death row.

In other words, she should have heeded that right to remain silent from beginning to end. :twocents:

I so hope that the jurors in this case WILL allow interviews after the trial... as that will mean she is guilty and they want to share with the world.

One thing JA has been consistent with, the episodes where she says Travis was very angry at her and then had sex with her. That is what rape is all about...anger. Guarantee this point was made several times by her so the defense experts can point this out. imo

Nuh uh Stephanie - the gun just went off, it totally had a mind of it's own, Jodi can't be blamed for what somebody else's gun decided to do.
:banghead:

OH i forgot the gun went off on its own when the camera was walking into the closet to see the knife that rolled 22' from the backpack to the bench. Crap, all these weapons walking around!

Thats an amazing record. He is definitely making it 15.So how does everyone think nurmi will back pedal everything jodi has admitted to?

Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2

Doesn't it make the talking heads' opinions that much more laughable? No talent, knowledge or class but they have opinions a mile a minute that are worth a cent or less. That's why I don't care what they say, good or bad.

won't JM call his own DV expert in rebuttal? i really think that should clear this up in case there's anyone on the planet who still believes JA is an abuse victim. i just can't listen to nurmi anymore so i'm waiting for JM to return with a vengeance in rebuttal. i'm done with big boy.

I only wish CA had taken the stand

Then, that wouldn't be self defense. It would be an accidental death wouldn't it? Isn't self defense when you shoot them to defend yourself?

i swear in her first telling of the gun in the closet story, she said she pulled a SEAT over to stand on to get that gun.

am i hearing things? only on cross did i hear her say she used a shelf to get it.

I remember her talking about pulling the seat over when she (allegedly) initially saw the gun while cleaning for Travis. I don't recall if she said the same for the (alleged) attack on her.

Probably and I agree. I do not think this is a problem at all...just an observation I have made.

You know, I've wondered if the "reason" for her killing Travis on that day and at that time was because, in her twisted mind, she couldn't move on to the new relationship as long as he was alive. She was literally on her way to see her new man. It was her last goodbye -- sex, and then death. We'll never know.

Could you please direct me to the testimony of DB. thanks.
And I agree DB should consider himself a very lucky man.

Well that all depends on whether he was a part of her cover up somehow. We will see. She called five people after the murder. Travis, Leslie, Matt, Darryl and Ryan. We know Ryan and Leslie were not part of the cover up, well don't think so. She said she could not reach Darryl but she lies. Travis was dead and she left him a voice mail to cover her tracks, or she thought. That leaves DB and MM in question. IMO. And possible GS. Stupid men!!!

If she pulled a gun on him and it wasn't in self defense it would still be murder of some sort depending on the circumstances. She also has to explain all the stabbing and saying that a single gun shot didn't put him down and that she lost the gun in the struggle explains the use of two weapons in SD.

Hi Dmacky- that article is dated 1999 so I am pretty sure Martinez has gotten alot more convictions since then...

As an aside, I would like to extend a warm

LOL
And I thought 14 sounded like alot! Thanks for the update though, amd the warm welcome. I followed the OJ, SP, and CA trials and had no idea this forum existed! I only found it by chance after googling JA. LOVE it here. Except I don't get anything done~~

That was the day that they were in chambers with the Judge and the family of Travis decided to play the ENTIRE sex tape instead of only snipits. Jodi didnt like that and she DID look like she was crying that day.

So this is what Jodi looks like when she has been crying.

Would love a techie to post a side by side of this pic with the look she had on Thursday when she was supposedly crying.

I for one picked up on the remote, as did several others. Me, because when JM was questioning JA about her leaving DB's house (after getting the gas cans) She was leaving for her road trip. She stopped in Sedona to get her nails done, or something. Then JM said, BUT you HAD to go back to DB's because you forgot something...RIGHT??? Anyway it was the remote.
We don't know for sure what this particular remote is for...yet. It will be thrown at her in Rebuttal (cannot wait) Many of us think it was to the DVD player she stole from grandpa, but we don't know for sure.
but then JA answered Juan saying it was to a DVD player, or tv....she couldn't exactly remember....that's when it hit me!

Just a comment.

Looking at the gun issue from a logical standing.

Travis was a guy that was very well organized, his dress shoes lined up, not 1 pair, 15 pairs, and not cheap either.
Suits lined up nicely, spaced accordingly. Ties nicely draped, jeans, hung up, space out.

He lived in a comfortable home, had some nice furniture, traveled a lot, drove around in a BMW, went quad wheeling.

Now, with this type of persona, why the hell would he own a dinky 50 dollar gun, and with his OCD for neatness, why would he possibly leave a gun laying out?

IF he were into guns, it would be a nice model, and he would have had ammunition in his house. The guy had 20 pairs of shoes, but no ammunition for a gun?

He would, IMO, IF he had a gun, it wouldn't be tucked up in the corner of a closet, it would have been in a case, or in a drawer next to his bed.

One thing still nags at me: Since it seems to be pretty conclusive that JA used the knife from the onset to slaughter Travis, why did she bother with a gun? The only reason I can think of, is that she used the gun to force him into that vulnerable sitting position in the shower, and / or she actually held the gun in one hand while inflicting the initial stab wounds. :furious:
I know there has been speculation on her wanting to make it appear that there were two intruders. But why not shoot him first to make it more believable, if that were the case? Which to me would point even more to premeditation, but then having two weapons already does that anyway, right?. :waitasec:
And not using the gun first proves another point as well as far as I am concerned, which is that she wanted to make Travis suffer more by killing him in the violent way she did. And imo, anyone who can murder someone in such a violent, personal and bloody manner would have to be in a complete and total murderous rage. Or totally insane and she is not that.

Thoughts anyone?

It was ALL about making him suffer and her satisfaction because she couldn't have his lifestyle.

I heard some psychologist woman saying on TV the other day that school age boys cut the bottoms out of their pockets so that the chicks can put their hands in the pockets to do things to them in class. Asked my 26 yr old son if that was the case when he was in school but he didn't answer, he blushed and laughed. If I ever see a chick with her hand in a guy's pocket from now on, I'm gonna be thinking about that.

Gross! I am so grateful I grew up in the sixties. I didn't even understand the hippie movement and the bra burning, etc. thank God!

I honestly don't think DB has any involment what so ever. The Defense called him, BUT he proved to be a much better witness for the State. e.g. gas cans, REMOTE
