I wonder what the Jury will believe?

1. First find that they unanimously believe he continuously emotionally and physically abused her through the relationship like an abused spouse, even though they lived 1280 miles apart and even though when he clearly said we are done, she then moved to Mesa AZ 3 miles from his home.

2. That she planned his murder, borrowed gas cans for the first time in her life despite many road trips. Upside down License plate for undetermined reason. Burglary at her grandparents house where a 25 caliber gun was taken possibly by her. Filling up at various gas stations. Calling and indicating she will be Late to Utah. Not telling anyone she planned to detour through Mesa to see Travis who she is not dating any longer (not for almost a year)

3. That he got so angry about a few scratched CD's he bent her over the desk, only later to shower and flip out that she dropped his camera 3" from the ground that he flew out of the shower with one foot and body slammed her chased her around naked but she got the best of him and dismembered him and put him right back in his own shower lucky to be alive. Left and then called him to say she can't stop by his house but will catch him later after she throws the gun in the desert.

I can't even list the things that sound like they are from the Twilight Zone.

I was just thinking about the towel that was in the washer. The overall color of that towel seems to be uneven and marbled. Here's the picture:

I remember seeing the neatly rolled towels in Travis's linen closet. Every towel was white in there. He didn't have any other color towel.

I wonder if this towel is blood stained and the bleach has splotched the stain.

IMO this is the towel she dragged his body in the last picture on the roll of film, it is one of his white towels soaked in blood and he is being dragged, I am convinced the first inadvertent photo of Jodi's foot and Travis bleeding is not him being dragged. He is only being dragged in the last photo, with this very towel.

This is suppossed to be from a quote from Allyne Smithe regarding why so many gas cans

The reason for the 3 gas cans is it took 12 gallons of gas to fill up her car. The ones she got from DB's were 2 5 gallon cans. JM shows she had 3 receipts from same gas station. one for car, then one for 10 gallons (2 5 gallons cans) then 1 receipt for 2 gallons. = 12 gallons/ car fill up

Ah, thanks! Got it! :)

Hi again Leebee, yep that is west Texas. Dry and dusty. But it can be wonderful too. I have mets lots of people who believe Texas is all about cowboys and oil. Guess we can thank the Tv series "Dallas" for that. Haha. I just remember the tremendous lightning and thunder storms that start in May and don't end until October in East Texas. Cause by the heat. Every day as you are leaving work to get into your car, you get soaked in rain, not just a little, I mean soaked. I don't miss any of that. Just my family. But I am a Hoosier now!
I heard about the Haboobs. Seen Phoenix has had a couple in the last year. Those look frightening!

Lived in Houston and Dallas which both had very violent storms one of the reasons I didn't stay in those places. Not to mention, humidity way too much traffic and chiggers. I don't like dust storms at all but it beats earthquakes, tornadoes and hurricanes. Bad side of where I live too.Dry rot. Have to get new tires all the time, anything wood, rubber, etc.

could be the brown pillowcase with the little white tag peeking out

The point to me is that you CUT yourself. Jodi keeps insisting that her finger was injured because Travis kicked her and broke her finger. No cutting.

The explanation of dropped glasses or whatever is, I think, to account for scratches. She's told so many stories I can't keep it all straight.

Neither can she.

Just a comment.

Looking at the gun issue from a logical standing.

Travis was a guy that was very well organized, his dress shoes lined up, not 1 pair, 15 pairs, and not cheap either.
Suits lined up nicely, spaced accordingly. Ties nicely draped, jeans, hung up, space out.

He lived in a comfortable home, had some nice furniture, traveled a lot, drove around in a BMW, went quad wheeling.

Now, with this type of persona, why the hell would he own a dinky 50 dollar gun, and with his OCD for neatness, why would he possibly leave a gun laying out?

IF he were into guns, it would be a nice model, and he would have had ammunition in his house. The guy had 20 pairs of shoes, but no ammunition for a gun?

He would, IMO, IF he had a gun, it wouldn't be tucked up in the corner of a closet, it would have been in a case, or in a drawer next to his bed.

Good point about the gun not being something Travis would likely buy. And, I love how you describe his closet....everytime I walk in mine after seeing the pics of Travis's closet, I'm a little embarrassed!

I've given this quite a bit of thought. Here's what I think happened. She went there with the intent of "reminding" him of their sexual compatability. She had already done everything she could to convince him to continue having a serious relationship with her by being a chameleon. That is by changing her personality to become exactly what she thought he wanted in a full time girlfriend, future wife, etc.

And she just could not fathom how he could reject her (not sexually, but by denying a serious, committed relationship) when she became everything she thought he wanted.

So in a way, this was a last-chance visit. So when TA restated that he was going away without her, JA came prepared. She tricked him into the shower photo taking - I believe he was actually posing in the pictures. When she got him in the most vulnerable position, sitting on the shower floor, she ran forward and stabbed him. She planned to do the stabbing in the shower so that she could wash off any traces of her DNA.

But instead of becoming incapacitated, he ran over to the sink, spitting blood. I believe this caught JA by surprise. I think she then started stabbing him in the back, while he was bent over the sink.

But he got (crawling perhaps) away from her, and he may have been screaming. And in fear of anyone hearing him screaming, yelling, whatever, (JA may not have known whether a roommate had come home at some point) she panicked and ran after him, slitting his throat to stop him from screaming. Weakened now, but maybe still barely alive, she drags him down the hall back into the shower. Since the bullet casing was found on the bathroom floor, but not in the actual shower stall, she may have shot him there for good measure. It's hard to say when that gunshot happened. Maybe in between the stabbing sequences.

Once she got him back into the shower, I think we all know she rinsed him off, tried to clean up the floor etc etc.

Those are my thoughts based on what I've heard so far. I could be completely wrong of course!

What is hard for me to grasp though, is how anyone, JA, or anyone, could systematically and thoroughly attempt to clean up the scene - if I saw that much blood myself, I would faint on the floor. I guess it takes some kind of sub-human to overlook that.

I think that is exactly what happened. Great rundown! It just makes me sick thinking about brutal she was and how much that poor man suffered. :(

More Beth news...this just in:

Do folks understand that I'm still on TV through the Arias trial? I won't be off air until it ends, whenever that may be...

Thanks for all you're doing!

Beth

Yay!!!!! Will send her a follow up email. I love that lady!

So in this fog she claims, she did the following, even before leaving the house:

-Dragged his body from the hallway to the shower to wash off her DNA
-Got the camera, reviewed the photos and deleted all of the incriminating ones, which requires a 5-step process for each! She did not wipe out the entire memory card which could have been done in fewer steps.
-Cleaned herself up somehow somewhere without leaving bloody footprints, handprints anywhere
- Gathered up the "rope" (probably actually a pillow used to muffle the gunshot), knife, gun, possibly the KY bottle, her bloody clothing, her gloves (you know she wore some) and got them into the car to discard later
- Gathered the bloody towel (used to wipe up), Travis' clothing including HIS BLACK SOCKS which she wore to kill him, along with the camera and put them in the washer
- Cleaned the glass (found in the shower)
- Put the barrier in front of the stairs to keep the dog from going up

That doesn't sound the least bit foggy to me. Dragging the body into the shower is an incredibly bold act, done calculatingly to wash off her cooties.

If this doesn't convince the jury she wasn't in a fog, I don't know what could. Oh yeah, her knowing that the picture of TA on the floor was taken facing the bathroom...

the "snickering skateboarders" story is so unnecessary, imo - i mean, what a coincidence (among so many) that she even sees them, which gives her a reason to explain why it was that way... seems to me, it would have been much more believable if she simply said she had no idea how or when that happened..

but it is interesting that she chose to make the timing of the supposed license plate turning prior to arriving at mesa..

Because the opposite seems to ring more true. She projects so much onto everybody else too. If it was not so heartbreaking, it would be a fascinating character study.

I guess I am confused. She can't be convicted of felony murder if the gunshot was first? If not, why is that?

Gunshot to the head, 29 stab wounds, one to the heart, some to the back, some to the head enough to chip his skull and having his throat cut from ear to ear. That is felony murder at least 3 times over. Three of the wounds were considered fatal. Certainly not self-defense in any way, shape or form. jmo

Here is a side by side. When chocolate brown is bleached, this is what you get. I think it "could" be part of the bedding. She pulled the bedding off and put it all in the wash..the dark brown inset is him resting on his brown pillowcase. Keep in mind it was crumpled in the washing machine for 5 days before they saw it.. So its all wrinkled

BBM and snipped respectfully

OMG - I didn't realize it was the spray kind, I thought it was the lotion kind....She used it as mace, to disable him when she attacked!!!!!( did we talk about this already when somebody compared the product skews?? )

I wonder if it could be used as a sealant? to help keep the blood from soaking in her skin?

A few pages back someone posted a pic of the bathroom and in the mirror you can see a caramel colored towel hanging. It looks like a similar towel, but the one in evidence shows the bleach marks from when she poured it in. I was not sure if it was a stained white towel or bleached colored towel until I saw that.

Excellent post! And she probably ran and grabbed a pillow to muffle the gunshot sound before she shot him, thus those little upholstery fibers. I believe she shot him because (excuse me) he was still making sounds, etc.

The next one was taken with the door open, the shower threshold is clear.
"There is no blood. IMO this is when she is going in for the kill. It was taken at 5:30:30 a full minute and 10 seconds after the face shot.

What the heck went on in that minute? That's an eternity in this situation.

Then the ceiling shot is only 45 seconds later. All hell must have broken loose.

It's only one minute later that the dragging picture is taken. IMO she had already cut his throat. All that stabbing and dragging, the coughing at the sink, happened in a minute.

It was a longer time between the face and sitting shots. Again, what went on then?

It's scary."

I think the Dateline show suggests the type of conversation that took place, so here's my guess:

We learn from the show that Travis had already been to the bishop to "set his life back on the right track." I suspect that he was counseled/warned but no action had been taken, meaning he had not been disfellowshipped or excommunicated. Now he has failed again to control himself because his succubus showed up. He is very disappointed in himself. You can see the disappointment and sadness in his face in the shower. This is not a man who is cheerfully posing for sexplay photos or even "one last time tastefully to remember you by" muscle shots. I am guessing he is running out of patience because he has repeatedly asked her to leave before his roommates get home...reminding her yet again that she is just his dirty little secret.

She asks for a couple of sitting shots and promises to be on her way. She take a couple of shots without the flash, crouching beside him. They are talking. He tells her he has been to the bishop after she left. He promised the bishop he would stay away from her. He tells her that the next level of discipline would be for the church to take action against his membership and he is unwilling to lose the thing that means the most to him in the world for her... and he gets stern. She is dressed, removed her luggage, and here she is back again when he specifically asked her to LEAVE. He tells her she has no respect for the wishes of others. He has violated his privacy again and again, he knows she is stalking him, slashed his tires, and he has never reported it to the police or the bishop, but now he is drawing the line. He tells her that if she contacts him again, he will report to the police the money she stole from his bank account. Get the hell out, he says, and I never want to see you again. She stands and (closes the door or not) and takes a last picture with the camera at waist level. He has a wtf look of fear on his face

because that's when he first sees the gun in her right hand. FLASH! She shoots him right in the face.

(two weeks ago a WS poster magnified his pupil and posted a photo which clearly shows her standing silhouette and the camera flash very clear at waist level, the camera being unmistakably in her right hand on the right side of her body... leaving her left hand to hold the gun. )

because she has only seen gunshots in movies, she is unprepared for him to react by lunging at her, screaming. He's lunging at the gun, not the camera. The camera shoots the ceiling because he's coming at her and she's taken by surprise, perhaps he is even coming in low like she demonstrated. He's supposed to collapse, dead on the spot and she's horrified. He's on the ground writing and screaming now, she tries to shoot him again, gun jams, she runs to get the knife. She comes back and he is at the sink saying "Call the neighbors." He doesn't realize even yet that he was shot on purpose. He is looking in the mirror but blood is in his eyes. He splashes water on his face.

She attacks him stabbing and we know the rest.

SNAP! She has stated she was a dirty little secret in so many words, yet she said she parked the car in the MIDDLE spot in the driveway, IIRC...can someone confirm please. Anyway.... the timing of all this was right after the roomie was home from 4-5 (Right?). Is the roomie that came from 4-5 on the state's list? If a car in the driveway, and he was only home for an hour, he WOULD REMEMBER that as it's a 3 car entrance, and he would have pulled in to her left or right? Right?

Then again, why did she specifically state that she had her car parked in the middle vs. around the corner, and put herself in a position of rebuttal?

Also, as you state she did say when photo were taken she was dressed to leave to drive in the 100+ heat. Yet she is wearing black socks and long jogging pants????

And as to your scenario, good option. I changed my mind after seeing for the first time late last night about what happened near the sink due to the gory crimescene photos that I had never seen before...and think no matter what came first, that for a while he was on the floor to the right of the sink in front of the linen closet...Those are some mighty big pools of coagulated blood. Like he laid there vs. walking/moving drops that are ALL OVER the bathroom and down the hallway

And thanks for another new word to add to my vocabulary following tumescent. Succubus - NOUN: A female demon believed to have sexual intercourse with sleeping men. :waitasec: Now how am I supposed to follow my personal rule to use this in a sentence with someone in the next 24 hours 3 times. :floorlaugh:
