Who was it that called Jodi about Travis? It seems a call was made to her while police were at the scene early on, since she called LE to find out what was going on. Read in police report??

I thought it was proven she used it... with that trio of gas purchases within minutes of each other. (?)

She bought enough gas to fill the car,
She bought enough gas to basically fill the 2 borrowed cans,
And she bought 2.77 more gallons on top of that.

When JM asked her where she put that gas, she waved her hand (iIrc) and said, "Somewhere."

Who returns a *used* gas container? Wouldn't it stink to high Halvah? Can they even take it back? They don't know what kind of potentially hazardous materials you've put in there - it's not like they can rinse it out and resell, right? Maybe they just recycle and make new ones.

I believe you have to sign the store receipt when returning something to Walmart - whether you get cash or credit back or don't have a receipt. Probably for their own records/inventory and to reduce the temptation of employee theft/misrepresent the return somehow.

Gaahh! Sometimes I wonder why I'm so interested in figuring things out when all JA does is lie!! :banghead:

The smoke smell in the car was noted at the time she rented it, not when she brought it back. I know the rental guy was not clear on this in his testimony, but it's clear on the rental contract receipt.

Thanks minor4th - can you point us at a legible copy of the rental car return contract and receipt please ?

Dan Freeman was the one who contacted JA first about Travis. I don't know whether he was with police or not... if it says he was in Flores' report, then he was.

I could never be a criminal lawyer.
I can't imagine having a Jodi Arias whispering in my ear and talking to me.
I understand the need for criminal defense lawyers (imagine if you're innocent and you're charged with a crime? fair trial etc etc) but I couldn't do it.

Could be, but IMO she burned the clothing, floor mat evidence with the extra gas she had in the trunk. Given the 26 hour gap between Sparks NV and Redding CA, I would not be surprised if I heard Arias went to a campground she was familiar with and a place where a fire is a normal event. Had she rented a cabin, it would have given her time to catch up on some lost sleep as well ...

I don't think she'd rent because it could be tracked, butremember - she doesn't mind sleeping in the car. (Or with who)

this is what i think is a possibility,i did notice when on jodi's myspace one of the long list of interests ( which some i actually laughed out loud at,sure there was something like quantum physics? :floorlaugh: ) was camping.

if the car didnt smell of smoke when she rented it and on return it did,this is my theory.

Just an observation from the post trial proceedings on Thursday.... it was glaringly different at the defense table when Jodi got off the stand and went to the table. Her DT isn't all touchy/feely with her the way CA's was. In fact, it was as if she was sitting there all by herself. No hugs, no warmth.... I would love to know what the DT really thinks of her?
