The smoke smell in the car was noted at the time she rented it, not when she brought it back. I know the rental guy was not clear on this in his testimony, but it's clear on the rental contract receipt.

It's then she decides that she will have to kill him because her other plan didn't work. She takes the majority of the pictures of him in the shower without him knowing. When he does see her, she is armed and ready to go.

She deletes the photos before she leaves so there would be no evidence.

I really do not think they had sex that day. I think he spent a good part of the day trying to ignore her, thinking she would finally just leave.

I know there are probably a ton of reasons why this could not be the situation, but it's the best I've got right now.

I definitely think he had no idea she was coming to see him. And I definitely think she went to kill him, no matter what else would happen there. If she won the little battles, it would just be gravy. She made a lot of plans for the before, during & after the act of homicide.

If they had sex, this would be to her benefit in trying to get him back in a relationship. She also wanted the invite to Cancun. The reasons she wanted reconcilement & Cancun were only to put those two items in the "Win" column. Nobody breaks up with Jody -- nobody. Nobody refuses sex with Jody. And Travis did both (perhaps, as to the sex -- doesn't really matter). And he did not invite her to Cancun. And she was not on his "women I would marry" list. How dare he shun her so?! She was the best thing he could ever have. All the future plans, trips, houses, money, living well, etc. And he just wants to throw it away. He!! no, that's not gonna happen.

No, she felt the most severe punishment she would get if she lost at trial WAS LWOP, so if the state made an offer that would impose a life sentence on her, she had no incentive to accept. She would only entertain a sentence that was less than LWOP ... so sentences that fell within the parameters of 2nd degree murder.

Could be, but IMO she burned the clothing, floor mat evidence with the extra gas she had in the trunk. Given the 26 hour gap between Sparks NV and Redding CA, I would not be surprised if I heard Arias went to a campground she was familiar with and a place where a fire is a normal event. Had she rented a cabin, it would have given her time to catch up on some lost sleep as well ...

There really isn't any "typical" amount of time. It differs with each defendant and attorney. But we have to keep in mind Arias LOVES to talk, and Nurmi talks slower than a snail.
My personal guess is 3 days.

I believe that was when she returned the car. They don't give the customer a copy of the pre-checkup they do before you take off with the car. The receipt has all the info when you return the car but not before. jmo
