Just reading these posts this morning.

I'm really glad to hear others are so obsessed because I was beginning to think there was something seriously wrong with me! :floorlaugh: I've been trying to hide the amount of hours I'm spending on this board because I'm afraid my family will commit me. I mean, jeez, it's Sunday morning -- shouldn't I have something better to do? And the answer would be: NO!!!!

The thing that really scares me is that now that I'm retired there's nothing stopping me from doing this again -- like the upcoming Andrea Sneiderman trial. Oy.

i can't wait for that one too! i really kind of hate myself when i get so sucked into a trial like this. my house isn't as clean, i don't eat very well, i wake up thinking about it, etc.

when the verdict came in during CA's trial, my friend who's as obsessed as i am called me because i had run out to the store. i left a half full cart of groceries and drove like a maniac to get back and hear it.

then i wished i'd stayed at the store!!

:furious:

Obsessed people like us solve crimes! I've always believe anyone that has a "passion" for something does it much better than one who goes to work just to work.

If you go because you love it, then you are going to be that much better at it. Over the years (since 1995 at least) I have learned so much from following trials on this forum.

It's putting all our heads together, looking at the same crime scene from many pairs of eyes that we sometimes discover things nobody thought of.

Not that the official Detectives on the case didn't do a fabulous job, but we have the luxury of hindsight and the more people that are fed information the more clues emerge.

This is Jodi's path of "self defense".

What is Travis's? He "chased" her...she slammed closet door...where is she claiming he was when was in the "linebacker pose"?

IIRC, he got into the linebacker pose after coming out of the closet.

I think the reason we are all so riveted by this trial is because the defendant very rarely takes the stand. Also, this case is so weird that it would be riveting without her taking the stand. Put the two together and anyone who visits this board will be in "Must See TV" mode. My brother who thought I was weird for being obsessed about the KC trial is pretty interested in this trial.

FINALLY I kept asking what that thing was lying on the floor to the left of the outside closet blood. A slipper. I could not figure out what that was with my decrepit eyesight.

Just curious why thus far no one seems too interested in what I said in post # 440.

Does anyone think it's possible that being a supposed photographer, JA would have figured out how to manipulate time stamps? I'm wondering if she did in regards to the naked pics. And in court, wasn't it brought up that she had advised or helped Travis in what camera he should buy? That bugs me. Like there may have been a motive for that.

Oh yeah PS, hubbie works for DHS and I was talking to him last night about that checkpoint JA talked about before Hoover Dam. HE SAID...Border Patrol there have cameras that scan several miles and that had they seen anything like her pulling off to the desert, a fire, whatever, they would have immediately checked it out. Wonder if Border Patrol cameras have anything of her, the car or anything.

this post! Interesting I wonder how long they keep footage if they got it!

I just think that if there was Border Patrol evidence, we would have heard it last week. :twocents:

I'm sure she could, but those time stamps were pulled off the card by the police, not supplied by her.

We have multiple family members under DHS, ICE,etc. and it's my impression that they keep everything on discs, sticks or whatever. I just wonder whether LE looked into that or even thought about it. I also know that there are others monitoring from mountain peaks.

Great question ~ I'm sure if they do JM has it and has blown the picture up.
I am still new, and I don't see half of these posts. It moves so fast in here, I am lost 3/4 of the time.

I am starting to really question when the "naughty" pictures were taken. I don't know enough about photography but is it possible that those six photographs were copied from JA's computer onto the new camera's disk at 1:30pm. Maybe they weren't taken that day at all? If you copy a picture from somewhere else onto a disk, wouldn't the timestamp read as the time you copied the picture?

His legs appear hairless in those photographs. (They do not in the shower pics.) Also - why is the bed made? She says they woke up and had sex but didn't they ever sleep IN the bed; why is the duvet on?

I'm really starting to think that she may well have arrived at 4am. but that he didn't know she was there. She could have been the one on his computer. The camera box was in the office so she very well could have uploaded photos onto his new camera. He might not have even known she was in the house until very shortly before he was killed!

Super creepy!

Brings new meaning to sleeping with one eye opened!

From the stalking rule book 101

Page 1.) One should never sell a car to the STALKER, especially when the revenue is only $100 bucks a month, there are only so many months in a year.

Not sure of the year but an old beater BMW could fetch more than $100, so lets look at why he sold it to her, possibly it could be said that he was being nice but being nice why not just give it to her then.

$1,200 in a years time certainly was nothing he was counting on, nor would he count on her swinging by to drop off a payment or two.

Selling the car to her was a way to keep her around, if you want to distant yourself from a stalker, you do not sell a car to them.

Kinda reminds me of some divorcees where couples are fighting over the husbands tools or the wife's dishes just kinda not wanting to let go completely.

Truer words could not be spoken (or... something like that) Do you know me...? Sure sounds familiar. :) My ex still has all the assets - apparently (his words) he's doing it for my benefit. It's been almost 10 years...

He actually tried to make me to use his 2nd car (by dropping it off at my place with his girlfriend following in her car and then scooting off before I even saw the car parked there). Of course I was furious, but my kids didn't understand, so I was somewhat stuck because my kids couldn't understand and they'd get upset and stressed and good moods were hard to keep up. Of course the details are more complex, but doing this gave him control over where I would go and when. If I refused and returned the car (I did - all heII broke loose) - everyone ends up hurt/punished one way or another. He would refuse to let me see the kids as scheduled, he would control when I'd get to the airport... on and on - because he'd use the kids - my one weakness - to force me to comply. I don't comply, they get punished and lose. That's just a small example.

Even giving JA the BMW would have been a mistake, because she would have found innumerable excuses to contact him about it. Pretending there's a recall... did he know if X was ever replaced or repaired... it never ends.

Any connection will keep them active and destructive. When they aren't on the attack, harassing, controlling then they're withholding, punishing, obstructing by omission.

One has to go to near witness protection program lengths to get away from a person like this if you're their target.

I am sensing after 2:00 pm there was a lot more torture than we realize.
My gut is telling me she went downstairs, he thought she was gone and she emerged again in the bathroom when he got in the shower.

And she may have had him at gunpoint and she had a knife. The first plunge of the knife may have come with him sitting, and he may have made a move to grab one of her arms to defend himself.

He may have even tried to fend her off a bit and gotten a defensive wound or two in the hands right then. He has a chest wound and a wound right below the adams apple (above is the massive throat slice) she may have knifed him a couple times first, plus the hands which is when he crawled out and made his way to the sink.

I think she stabbed him in the back then. At least once, I think he went down about near the sink. I don't see a "massive" amount of blood at the sink, or in the sink, it's a spray, and many drops, and a smaller puddle, I think he was up for a short time, pulled himself up, then slipped down.

You can see along the hallway there are thick droplets near the wall, then the smearing pattern which is almost a hand print, but it seems to be made from someone below, reaching up and feeling the wall.

I think that's the initial struggle and he is not violent, so I don't see him lunging at her and he was wounded, I can see her being able to continually knife him as she was holding a gun on him.

Holding that gun on him, he is not used to fighting even, at first I can see him even trying to reason with her and she is determined he's going to die and it ain't gonna be pretty or fast.

This scene tells one thing if it tells anything at all, she wanted her victim to be in pain, she tortured him.

There is a part of me that feels like JA was telling the truth about sex calming TA when he was angry. However, I don't think it went down like that. I think it was more like if she could get him to agree to sex then he would submit to temptation and she wins. It had nothing to do with TA's anger and using sex to calm down. She gave/offered sex so that it would feed her need to be his 'girl'. Sex proved to her that he cared about her. Or wanted her. I think she was in a frenzy after those sociopath text messages. I am assuming this is the time she went in and hacked his email/myspace/facebook or something. Then again, it says she scammed him. So, whatever she did she knew it was not going to be easily forgiven.

I don't think he knew she was coming, I don't think she was asked to come. I think she showed up in the middle of the night. Honestly, I am not even sure I think he even knew she was in the house until the next morning. We have her version of things...buuuut it doesn't prove TA knew she was there until the pictures started at 1:30. She had all night to paw through his stuff and check up on him before he woke up.

Kelly

She claims she called Travis while she was on the road to Mesa. There would be a record of that. If she hadn't called him, the prosecution would have pointed that out.

That whole roommate thing is weird to me. TA's friends said they could smell the decomposition as soon as they walked in. So, I am still confused about why his roommates didn't notice it. And what was going on with the dog at this time?

I believe the friends said they noticed the smell as soon as they got in the bedroom, but that it was not a strong odor in the rest of the house. MOO

O/T my husband had broken his nose on a camping trip as a teenager and didn't see a doctor about it at the time. Many years later he had his deviated septum fixed. Afterwards, he went to play racquetball with a friend and when he came home, he said, "You know what? Men's locker rooms smell really bad!" Up to that time he never noticed. :floorlaugh:

I was grocery shopping yesterday and I saw the Toblerone candy and the first thing I thought of was that evil person!!!!!! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

LOL! I had never ever heard of that Toblerone candy bar sbefore this trial. Then I see it on sale at my local Shoprite store, and I seem to keep running into it everywhere!!!!!!!

I wish they dusted the entire closet and shelves for prints and found none of hers.

Especially on the ones she grabbed to boost herself up on.

I am a big advocate for a crime scene like that in a home, to be cordoned off and NOT sold until Trial is over. The house value is $210,000 Police Dept could easily buy that and preserve it.

If it had been preserved they'd simply hear her crap about the shelf, then send a detective over to dust for prints where she said she was. And tell her that again, she is full of crap.

Which picture are you referring to?

The one that shows the massive blood on the carpet in front of the closet door to the right and what I guess is the bedroom door in the background. That black looking thing lying on the floor to the left. The pic was posted today a few posts back. At one point I thought someone was saying it was a thong but it looked too dense to be that. I'd seen pics of the slippers but never made the connection that it was a slipper in that particular picture.
