Hi guys...decided NOT to try and get in this afternoon. Pam, Travis' friend called me and said it's totally full on the family side (so good they have more family there this week) and the other side forget it.

I'd worked later and forgotten my Travis ribbon so that was all the sign I needed.

So psyched to be watching it here with you guys though. I still have 3 other days to get in this week. So.........catching up. Wow sounds like an incredible morning!

Dusted the house, vacuumed, poured bleach in all the sinks and it looks like I have been busting my rear all day.

Mission accomplished. :floorlaugh:

anyone know what Nurmi was asking for sidebar????

"So, Ms. Arias, are you saying it is less shameful for you to say you killed Travis in self-defense than to say you muredered him in cold blood"????

  • #265
I didn't see that, but it sounds like he is trying to put boogers in his ears. :dunno:
I thought it might be a simple explanation LOL LOL

No, but as a person who goes to the shooting range often and does not own a gun I can tell you it sucks to have to rent one all the time. IF I ever had one (which I will never do with a child in the house) I can tell you it sure would save me money to shoot my own and not rent.

I think it is VERY compelling the video that proves Travis borrowed a gun - because it makes it more acceptable to believe that is likely what he always did since almost all his friends testified he didn't own one and many can testify they know he went out shooting often.

If Travis owned a gun - he surely would have use it instead of borrow or rent one. And if he had just acquired it recently he would sutely have told his shooting buddies about his new acquisition and schedule a date to test it out. As sociable as Travis was - None of his friends say he ever told them about his new purchase. And he seemed to be the guy who like people to admire what he had.

You wouldn't take your pop gun to a gun rage with the big boys...you would be laughed at all the way home.

Why is the detective always sitting with JM? Is that how it usually is? I love them both!

It's standard for the case agent to sit at the prosecutor's table in Maricopa County

Does anyone know why we at the judges bench?

Someone said earlier that some of the pictures of TA's wounds might be used this afternoon... I'm sure DT will not want them used. *too bad*

I dont know if this is why they are at the bench but it's a possibility.

Just goes to show that while people want to help their friend, like Dave Hall going on JVM and showing that video, some may just think in that way..."more likely to believe a video of Travis shooting a gun = Travis owning a gun".

It seems like it was new news to the DT AND the prosecutor (Travis and viedo of shooting gun)??

Thank you for stating clearly what I wanted to say.
They love him, and are trying to help, but they need to be careful.

it's possible that space aliens planted a gun in his closet, called jodi and told her where it was. what's MORE likely is she's lying.

"Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor, Latin lex parsimoniae) is a principle of parsimony, economy, or succinctness used in logic and problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected." Wikipedia

I think Occam's Razor needs to be applied to this gun situation... MOO

The only people who keep guns at the top of the closet are people w small children.

My parents moved the guns once my brother and I were walking ab.
My husband keeps one on his hip at all times and before I moved in w my son(hubbs lived alone) he had one by the bed, one in the truck and one on him. I knew nothing ab guns and still am not comfortable w them, but even just seeing one made me nervous at first. I don't even like to hand it him. . I would never go grab one just hoping to ward someone off bc I know nothing about the safety or if it needs to be cocked or any other kind of gun knowledge that I would need to use the gun.

None of it makes sense. Just to her.

It's possible Jodi ditched them with the gun, no? She has lied many times before...

Of course ANYTHING is possible but what is reasonable or able to be proven as a fact.

This came up on another thread, maybe you can answer, about Jodi's journal. Are Mormon's encouraged to keep a journal? TIA.

Yes, we are encouraged to keep a journal as a personal record. I would say since she wrote about their sexcapades she didn't keep one for this reason.

Does anyone know what was shown in court this morning that the Judge instructed to disregard?

iirc it was the video opening of July 16th with Flores--she was in jail jumpsuit

Don't know the exact point but was the second interview with Flores after had been in jail over night, was just a small snip before Juan shut off

ENOUGH already with the sidebar!

The video that showed her talking to Flores, the one with her in her jailhouse clothes. That was the last thing I saw before the objection.

Jennifer is battling hard for something. Very hard.

Great post! Just wanted to add my :twocents: If the pistol belonged to Travis, and he was shot with it, why didn't she just leave his gun at the crime scene. Why take it and dispose of it in the desert? Because it was her grandfather's pistol, she stole in order to murder Travis, that's why.

She had a well-thought out pattern for her crime-gear.

According to her:

--put the knife that "Travis brought to the bedroom" in the dishwasher after she stabbed him 29 times
--took "Travis'" gun with her to dispose somewhere in the desert
--left the camera full of sex pics "Travis made her take" plus accidental murder pics in the washer
--took rope "Travis used to tie JA up during sex game" with her to dispose of somewhere in desert

take some evidence, leave some, take some, leave some....

Get it?

Yeah.

Me neither.

(I'm sure her DV "expert" or her "fans" will explain all of this to us later)
