We are back in court .. . . Judge asks Atty's to approach the bench . . . JM is up @ the bench and waiting for Defense . . .. JW has a ton of files/papers/documents in her hands . . . camera focuses on JA's Mom and Aunt who appear to be sucking on candy or a cough drop/mint? . . . .

Ja is staringinto the gallery - her ears perk up and she looks overto JW who s talking intently to the Judge and has her left palm extended out in front of her an to the side as while talking . . . .(like . . . . here's all/what I've got your honor) . . . .
Det. Flores sists @ State Atty talble strumming hi fingers . . .

JA looks down and away . . . then watches JM hand over a document to the judge who appears to be reading it (with her glasses on) . . . JA stares out into the gallery . . .. TA's sisters look briefly toward the camera an quickly away (is JA in their line of vision?)

Judge is speaking directly to Wilmot now . . . hands paper back to JM .. . JM speaksing directly and closely with the Judge . . . Judge leans in listening . . . . (JA appearsto crane her neck and listen intently for a moment) . . . Juge picks paper back up and re-reviews document . . .Wilmot arguing her point wit her left index finger tapping the desk

judge has righ pal up and out . . .gesturing to Wilmot directly . . . judge looks over her glasses @ Wilmot - who appears to be attempting to argue her case . . . judge appears to be listening and talkg to Wilmot -JM leans into listen . . .

Gallery shot . . herAun & Sister appear to be interested . .. Ja stares out into the audience of the gallery . . . JA's Momwatching intently . . . Judge still talking to Wilmot . . . hands paper back . . . WM gives judge paper back . . judge is holding her chin (thinker pose/)

TA's sisters watching . . . JA is looking down . . . .

now judge is talking to JM and asking him questions - still in the thinker pose

JA looks down and appears to be "zoning ut' . . . . almost as if she were sleeping . . . . (praying?)
camera backs ut . . . Judges still listening to JW and JM argue their point . . .

JA is "tuned out . . looking down . . . not mentally/emotionally present" - at least that is what it looks like to me . . .

Judge is reading something aloud or talking while reading . . . .

Judge handed paper back to JM and said "OK"
JM now appears to be arguing a new point

Folks it's 12:45 PST . . . I think court began approx. 15 min ago an everyone is waiting for the Atty's to argue their points . . . I do not think the Jurors have been allowed back into the room.

Whatever it is Juan is trying to get in...there's a battle royal to keep it out. :giggle:

Reasonable doubt? Absolutely.

Well, if it's reasonable that he had his little secret matching-JA's-grandparents'-gun with a few bullets in it, is it also reasonable that it fits in with the rest of her story, though?

Everything she says about the timing and sequence and her injuries, etc, has to be credible for her gun story to work. Maybe you believe he coincidentally had this gun somewhere, but that doesn't go far on its own anyway, imho.

So....I keep remembering (and then forgetting) that the jury gets to submit questions. Anyone know if anything is in the basket yet?? Those questions will be SO telling!! **anxious**

First Jury Question : "What is a tossed salad and a cream pie?"

"Occam's razor (also written as Ockham's razor, Latin lex parsimoniae) is a principle of parsimony, economy, or succinctness used in logic and problem-solving. It states that among competing hypotheses, the one that makes the fewest assumptions should be selected." Wikipedia

I think Occam's Razor needs to be applied to this gun situation... MOO

Occam's Razor needs to be applied to the whole case. However, Jodi herself has made it almost impossible with all of her lies thrown in here and there. It is interesting that Occam's Razor is a well known theory in law enforcement and legal venues. But, it often times is hard to accept in forums such as here at WS simply because of the nature of the people who come here to sleuth.

Besides, it's more fun to make up all kinds of outlandish scenarios when the simple way is often boring.

(Not speaking for myself personally here, but just my personal opinion on why there is so much spin).

Great tweet "Ron White, the comedian, said it best. "I had the right too remain silent, I just didn't have the ability""

Unfortunately, I think the killer/defendant is doing pretty good on the stand. She's working the emotional aspect going for 2nd degree, imo. I don't see Juan fazing her that much.
,
It will be interesting to hear from JM, if , he gives interviews after the trial.

She's a hard nut to crack. same demeanor and stamina that she showed during her interview with Detective Flores.

Wonder if she killed in the same unemotional methodical way ?

So far no new news shown.

I'm quite surprised that there haven't been any questions yet and I was wondering if maybe they have to wait until cross is over?

Her confidence definitely looks shaken today. First time I'm seeing her now.

Someone said earlier that some of the pictures of TA's wounds might be used this afternoon... I'm sure DT will not want them used. *too bad*

I dont know if this is why they are at the bench but it's a possibility.

The Crime Scene Photographs are coming in whether the DT wants them too or not! This is a MURDER trial and Liar should have them smashed in her damn face.
Lord I hate her!

I gotta leave and get my dd from school......why do they have such short court day 10:30-4:30 with 1 and half hour lunch and a break, no Fridays....such a shorter schedule than CA's case??

I'm pretty sure he wants to show her the crime scene photos.

I know...that's why I said it. It's ridiculous to think he only had the bullets in the gun. Ya gotta buy the box. And a .25? No way would that be his first choice in firearm.

Good point! A .25 is NOT considered a good self-defense weapon. (Not that I would volunteer to take a bullet from one.) And if he's firing assault weapons in the video, why the heck would he downgrade to a .25?!? He can obviously handle something that would pack more of a punch.
