I agree. I saw him hold a piece of paper up momentarily and then turn it over and put it down. He had not been looking at the paper before or after the turn. He's signalling her and Juan can't see it. It upsets me that the judge isn't seeing it. I'm very unimpressed with this judge!

ITA! Is that allowed, all the signals they flash her? I would imagine the jury has to have noticed them, and it can't help whatever bit of credibility she's managed to scrape together. Maybe I am still crushing on Judge Perry too much, but this judge just doesn't seem to run as tight a ship.

My two year old makes better sense than jodi.

I guess I'm in the minority - but want to preface by saying JM is a white knight, and amazing and going to nail her to the wall....

That said, I didnt like (and wonder if the jury will) that so much time was being spent this morning with the tit for tat. At times it felt like he was trying to trip her with word play rather than the very real inconsistencies that will leave no doubt she is lying.

Hopefully he will hit her hard when they come back from lunch!

Isn't what JA doing considered "nonresponsive"? I don't get why she's not called down on it by the judge, and if continues to repeat, charged with contempt of court. Maybe it wouldn't matter? :banghead: Idk, but I personally couldn't put up with what JM is putting up with. Thank God he's blessed with such patience and amazing stamina.

Which brings me to, maybe nothing they do would affect JA's combative behavior, and JM knows this so that is why he continues to just pound away. His goal is to get to the bottom of it, clear the name of the innocent victim, and expose JA for the obstinate, lying, unshakable, cold, calculating manipulator and killer that she is. He will do whatever it takes and is determined not to let her manipulate and dictate his course of action, which is what she is desperately trying to do, imo.

So you're saying that you're evaluating the defendant on trial for murder, not the prosecutor doing his job. Is that right??

I don't think we've seen this back and forth between JA and JM since last Thursday. Maybe there was a little of it yesterday, but yesterday she was in 'tears'. Today she is back to smirking and defiant.

He doesn't spend more than a half day in this type of sparring with her, so I expect [and hope], this afternoon we will make some headway on the important facts of this case.

Gawd. I hate to say it but I'm losing faith in JM rapidly...I predict 2nd degree if this keeps up.

IMO he is doing exactly what he should be doing. Jodi is a known liar. There is no doubt about that. It is JM's job to catch her in as many lies as he can, even down to the slightest inconsistencies. With her answers (which more times than not, are not direct answers to the questions he's asking) she skates around the direct answers because she absolutely knows if she gives a definitive answer, he can use it against her. If she is the least bit wishy washy she can say "that's not what I meant" and there really couldn't be much argument about it since there was no definitive answer.

JM has to get to the definitive answer, one way or another. He will continue this battle with her as long as she continues this wishy washy (suddenly on cross, she was pretty darned definitive on direct) testimony.

What's super creepy to me is how she VERY CALMLY, not blinking an eye says, "Because you're making my brain scramble." If I felt like that, I would be flushed, in tears, emotional, voice raised, excited. Not reacting, with that little girl calm voice.
