What's super creepy to me is how she VERY CALMLY, not blinking an eye says, "Because you're making my brain scramble." If I felt like that, I would be flushed, in tears, emotional, voice raised, excited. Not reacting, with that little girl calm voice.

I think this is COMPLETELY strategic on JM's part. When those DV experts get on the stand to testify about Travis' "power and control" over Jodi, the jury will remember these exchanges.

She went out of her way, she says, to get pamphlets in order to help TA with "his problem" yet she could not find one that gives guidelines on the religion she is involved in> Who gets baptized into a religion in which they know almost nothing about? Does the Mormon church question you about such things in order to make sure you are ready to be baptized?
This is proof she didn't care one iota about God, religion or anything that comes with it except Travis. She wanted him and had to have the religion in order to have him and then later she writes about all the nice Mormon men that are available to her.

I believe that much of what Martinez is doing is baiting Jodi into the worst of her psychotic behaviors. She's willing to confront, she's no victim. He's allowed her to play the passive-aggressive game with her. Oh, and so much more!

Remember, folks, Jodi has lied to both of her expert witnesses. A lot of Jodi's behavior on the stand flies in the face of what their testimony will be. He will crush them on cross when he points her behavior on the stand out to them.

In his rebuttal case, he will have strong evidence to back up his own witnesses.

All Juan has to prove in rebuttal is that Jodi was not a meek victim of domestic abuse.

He's also gotten a great deal of testimony from Jodi at the same time.

This is my concern. I'm not faulting Juan at all. But I'm afraid that by Jodi fighting, arguing and not answering questions at all that the jury is just going to tune out. It was literally exhausting to watch this mornings session.

I'm afraid that Jodi is going to make listening to this cross unbearable for the jury and that even if Juan can score major points the jury is just going to tune out completely.

I see and hear what you mean. BUT this is the prosecutors job right? If anything the jury will re-listen and remember how outrageous she was. She has that grin when she tells the prosecutor he talks in circles. I wonder if he can have her crazy answers struck and only keep the straight up answers?? I think she memorized everything and can't remember off the top of her head.

When NURMI practically gave her the answer in his question she had it made. I THINK Defense IS REALLY coaching her. I don't know if I can say that but it seems something strange is going on with him. He laughed at one of her scenarios yesterday So Unprofessional.

I want Juan to be present at her execution and I hope she sees him there, along with Tanisha and any other of Travis' family.

Prayers for Travis' family and friends continue.

It's not the worst coming out of you. Your indignation towards this horrific murder and you cries for justice...they are good. Sometimes anger is a good thing. Sometimes it is required.

But all he needs to do is get certain things from her on the record, because then he can use it in his rebuttal and closing statement. So it is OK if the jury zones out for now. JMO

She wins if the jury tunes out. If they stop listening, they don't hear all the subtle pearls that JM is attempting to get out there. She wins if the focus becomes her and not Travis and if the jury starts to sympathize with her.

Agreed. Again as I've said that's my worry that the jury is going to just tune out. And she knows this and is hoping to get them to just get tired and stop paying attention. And it might be working.

Another newbie jumping in. I have been reading here for company and therapy during this mindnumbing testimony. I also have post traumatic stress from FCA trial. As a lawyer - I just cannot watch another miscarriage of justice. I am sooooo apalled at the conduct of the defense team and of the defendant. I don't even know where to begin. I wanted to comment on the talking heads who are saying Jaun is losing the jury with all this jumping around and only making small points about lies. What he just did this morning was to prove that she is confrontational despite her claim of brain scramble (and I am keeping a list of all the "buzz" words she's rehersed/memorized like "wrath" "mortal terror", blah blah blah). She's not coming across as confused at all IMO, but completely combative. Who argues over the words "immdeiately" and "show"? Only someone who is evasive. My favorite Jaun words so far are territorial and peeping!

I hope the jury can see thru her games and find her GUILTY of this murder.
