I do not watch HLN etc... and yes I am streaming the trial on my iPhone and seen ALL the photos.

Are you listening to the tv programs and not watching the trial?

Hmm...Kelly Siegler would be a great prosecutor for her.

For Real.... I would love to see her get a hold of her! LOL

But IMO Juan Martinez is doing an excellent job! He is exposing her for who she really is. He is also working to clear Travis' name. (which I applaud)

He dealt with someone similar to Jodi a few years ago and her A$$ is sitting on death row now! So Juan Martinez knows exactly what he is doing. :rocker:

It still makes me laugh that JA wants us to believe that she thought it was okay with the church to have booty sex, but it was not okay for Travis to text message Sharon Peterson! Who the heck does she think she's kidding?

A female prosecutor - like Kelly Siegler? HAHAHAHA!! :) Makes JM look like a veritable cream puff.

I think he's brilliant and I don't see how gender factors in. The state is doing just fine with JM, considering his record - including putting another woman on AZ's DR.

He is focused, determined, passionate and I personally appreciate the fact that he doesn't defer to gender roles by treating the defendant more 'gently' simply because she's female.

Have you seen the autopsy photos that show what she did to this young man? Her prosecution should be relentless and aggressive and there is no one better than JM imv.

Kelly Siegler would truly give Jodi a headache. That woman is relentless.
Juan needs to drill down tomorrow. I'd like him to get to June of 2008.

She was married... there's a HUGE difference.

It still makes me laugh that JA wants us to believe that she thought it was okay with the church to have booty sex, but it was not okay for Travis to text message Sharon Peterson! Who the heck does she think she's kidding?

I want to see all of Jodi's email and browsing history!!!!

I've thought that from the beginning, not that JM isn't doing a good job but seeing Kelly make mincemeat out of JA would be so rewarding. She would rip that liar apart

I love (not) how she says she doesn't want to ruin anyone's marriage by naming names and in the next millisecond, with a smirk, says "Shannon Crabtree Peterson".

The smirk does me in.

I think the state would have been better off with a female prosecutor. Juan is too "aggressive" and she is using using this as excuses for HER behaviour.

I certainly hope that you used quotation marks around the word aggressive because you can see that Juan clearly isn't being overly aggressive. He's doing his job, which is NOT to coddle JA. Notice that Nurmi's monotone approach didn't elicit better behavior from JA, just different behavior. With JM she claims she doesn't remember and argues silly details with him with KM she would go on and on and on but fail to answer his questions and gave details beyond ones that were needed for her case.

So I'll make sure to add her middle name. You know, just so there's no confusion about whose life I'm trying to ruin.

sheesh

Yes, I understand the judge is doing other court business earlier in the mornings, which is why this trial starts so late.

JMHO
fran

The same has been true of the three trials where I have been a juror. Motions can also be heard at the end of the lunch hour, sometimes delaying the start of the afternoon session.

Viewers of trials on TV need to understand that the "down time" doesn't mean the judge, clerk, bailiff and others aren't all working long days.

What did she "let slip" before the day ended??? I didn't catch it!!!

I think snooping is OK unless it becomes pathological.
At some point you gotta decide - trust em or dump em.
Dump em and continue snooping is definitely not a healthy option.

Hate to disagree with you lil_buddy (I usually don't!)...

I think snooping is absolutely toxic to any relationship (including looking in medicine cabinets of friends, etc.)

If you snoop and find something hurtful or secret - you're either stuck with that knowledge or you have to come out with it, proving you're a snoop... so either way - game over. It destroys trust. Period.

If I don't trust someone, I keep my distance. If I'm concerned about my partner - I ask openly. I found out my ex was an obsessive cheater because he left evidence in plain sight. Multiple times. Denied everything.

I have lived with my current housemate for years - I have never looked at his phone, computer (I look away from computer screens unless invited by the person using it to see something), opened any of his office or bedroom drawers...

I believe in simple respect for privacy and manners. And I expect the same back.

I read a post earlier/yesterday in which someone commented that "all women snoop" and that really got me a little frosted.

It is so unhealthy and so disrespectful of the person being snooped on.

When it comes to kids - I made it clear that if they ever gave me a valid reason to snoop on them - in any manner I chose, then I would - and it would be a consequence of their behaviour, thus my concern for their safety or health or whatever. Sometimes their honesty has been unexpectedly difficult, but far better than the alternative.

That's my view, anyway... I know lots of people disagree with me - that's fine as long as they don't snoop on anyone in my world. :)

I do also have to say that I think Shannon having a "close flirty relationship" is fishy and I thought the same about Ashley Thompson.

Especially Ashley.

She just "crashed" at Travis' for a awhile when she and her husband were having issues? IMO, that seems shady but then she tells police that her soon to be ex might have killed Travis? :what:

How will JA answer juror questions?? Will the jury have to ask and re-ask to get the answer?

Now THAT is a fabulous question! I guess, that she will be able to answer ad-nauseum blah-blah-blah-blah...Or maybe the DA will/have already instructed her as to how to deal with juror questions?

I'm not sure you're watching the same trial I am (??) :)

Are you new to this case? Lots of new WSers are - maybe checking out some of the other threads will help?
