Beheading on TV?
Burning the convict to death in the public square?
A murder case is not the settling of a private score by those who loved the victim. The best satisfaction they can hope for is the knowledge that the murderer won't be free to murder again.
Hanging, beheading, and firing squad are all fine, as is the electric chair.
Come to think of it, two of the four are what she effectively did to her victim.
Prisoners escape all the time.
Murderers go on to murder in prison.
Capital punishment is appropriate in many cases.
It is not less so in this one.
