Her lawyer is disgusting. Look up his website and you will be appalled. Law offices of L. Kirk Nurmi.

I won't give his site a hit but is it true that he defends sex offenders and pedophiles? If that is true I can't understand how he lives with himself knowing he might of got one off and back on the street to offend again.

OK, I got everything up to "One Way or Another" (Blondie). The playlist is now posted on my blog page http://www.websleuths.com/forums/blog.php?b=1234 and I am signing off, so please just add anything else as a comment to the blog page. :)

Not a song to add to the playlist but seeing Blondie mentioned, I've now got "Maria" stuck in my head.

Mariaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, you've gotta see her....!!! Ooooh, don'tcha wanna take her home!

I love Debbie Harry :blushing:

And with that, goodnight everyone. See you all tomorrow! :seeya:

I saw the end of todays round. Didnt someone say something about her wanting to plea guilty of second degree murder? Maybe they were just speculating. She is ready to pop if she goes much farther without blowing a gasket I'll be surprised. I sometimes wonder about her lawyer, think he's had it with her. I wouldnt blame him!:what: :seeya:
She tried that two years ago. Juan wouldn't take it.

When HLN replayed the part where she said "I don't know, you're talking in circles", it reminded me of something somebody here on WS said. I wish I could remember who it was, or when I read it, sometime in the last week. They said the way to trip up a liar is to ask them questions out of order. I love that sentence, it's so true.

A lawyer friend of mine, and retired State Trooper, said that is most common way to get at the 'truth' or a "lie"....

Love, love, love this song Lotus. My youngest son and I used to sing it when he was into Rock Band (he did the high parts then LoL, I can't hit them). It's perfect! Travis was obviously special....and she's a creep....and a weirdo, oh, oh.

It's true. Well, technically he defends "alleged" offenders. And he gets them off successfully, he brags on his website.

Blech.

AZ........ :blowkiss: but I read the first two stanzas and cannot bear to read it all. I vote for uplifting insulting......not sad. Then again, I get how we should recognize and pay homage to the tragedy..and this is about TRAVIS!!!!!!!! So I'm conflicted.......... Thanks for the suggestion, and just :moo: :moo:

OK, I'm keeping a list for the verdict party playlist. I think I've caught them all now (thanks Moonbird for helping me catch up).

Then this one suddenly came to mind, but I think maybe it's too depressing for a verdict party? :(

Ludo--Love Me Dead

Love me cancerously
Like a salt-sore soaked in the sea
'High-maintenance' means
You're a gluttonous queen
Narcissistic and mean

Kill me romantically
Fill my soul with vomit
Then ask me for a piece of gum
Bitter and dumb, you're my sugarplum
You're awful, I love you

She moves through moonbeams slowly
She knows just how to hold me
And when her edges soften
Her body is my coffin

I know she drains me slowly
She wears me down to bones in bed
Must be the sign on my head
That says, oh, love me dead, love me dead

You're a faith-healer on TV
You're an office park without any trees
Corporate and cold, gushing with gold
Leave me alone

You suck so passionately
You're a parasitic, psycho, filthy creature
Finger-bangin' my heart, you call me a drunk
Does the fun ever start? You're hideous and sexy

She moves through moonbeams slowly
She knows just how to hold me
And when her edges soften
Her body is my coffin

I know she drains me slowly
She wears me down to bones in bed
Must be the sign on my head
That says, oh, love me dead, love me dead

Love me cancerously
How's your new boy?
Does he know about me?
You've got the mark of the beast
You're born of a jackal, you're beautiful

She moves through moonbeams slowly
She knows just how to hold me
And when her edges soften
Her body is my coffin

I know she drains me slowly
She wears me down to bones in bed
Wha' 'bout the sign on my head
That says, oh, love me dead, love me dead
Love me dead, love me dead
Oh, love me dead

I was watching "Roots: The Next Generations" episodes and something in one of the later episodes caught my attention. Alex Haley is asking an older relative about the family and talking about not "finding" himself in his writing career (or possibly at this point he was trying to find information about "the old African", but kept hitting dead ends). Anyway, his old auntie told him that if his Grandma Cynthia had heard him talking like that, she would come after him with her WOODEN SPOON.

It certainly caught my attention, all things considered, although I'm sure it's a standard "tool" for some families in days gone by, not unlike the switch, belt or (for my generation) the paddle from the paddle-ball toy (my Mom actually made me go to the store to BUY it; she rarely used it on us, but the THREAT of using it was quite effective). Still, given JA's propensity to pick and choose aspects of stories from movies and TV, I have to wonder if she made it up (about her mother using the wooden spoon on her) after watching the same episode.

This cat and mouse game she plays with Juans questions is driving me crazy. I hope the jury is as pizzed as I am about it. She is obviously avoiding trying to answer even simple stuff.

As a spectator, the only way I can get even with her tomorrow is to be happily stuffing my face while remembering how she is starving. LOL

I think the jury is tired of her B.S., they're not falling for her poor abused ja act.

I think I'll get some cinnabon rolls to snack on while watching the trial tomorrow. :)

Ok, hope this doesn't come off like I am playing devils advocate. Lord knows that I CAN"T STAND Jodi Arias, and Nurmi disgusts me, and I feel deeply that she is GUILTY GUILTY.
But after doing a tiny bit of research and adding in my own experience, I have to say that it's not right for anyone that is under the stress and pressure that she is in should have to go for 15 hours without food. On a good feeling day I can go no more than 10 hours, and yes, I have passed out from not eating before. And have suffered extreme headache, although NOT MIGRAINE.

From what I have read, prisoners in Maricopa jail are awakened between 3 am and 4 am on court days. They are fed, readied, and on the road by 6 am, for 10:30 am court. As for court ending at 4:30 pm as requested by Nurmi, isn't that the time that court is supposed to end? If she does not make it back to the jail before dinner is served, she is given a sack lunch, the same that she had for breakfast.

I have also read that it is a class 2 felony for anyone other than the Sheriff or his Deputy to give the prisoners food. But I have also read that it is up to Jodi herself or her Attorney to put in an order for a lunch the night before court days. I do believe that this has been brought up before, as the Judge did say today, that she has spoken to the jail and requested lunches for Jodi and will address it again.

With all that said, my concern is that such a small issue as her not getting fed enough may be grounds for either mistrial or help in an appeal. I personally could care less weather she withers away, less for us taxpayers to have to spend to sup[port her. For heavens sake, Feed the Evil doer so we don't have to pay for another trial!!!!

Goodness, gracious....should dis-bar the defense lawyer if it gets down to that, flippin' pathetic....either by 'neglect' or 'postioning / manipulation' on the defense side...lame as all heck...

The more I learn about him the more I'm amazed at what a HUGE heart he had!! The Cinnabon story really choked me up!! So thoughtful and kind ♥

I just finished watching the afternoon session. The last 30 minutes he spent talking about her feeling like a prostitute. He said that many times. I think he has proof she was a prostitute and he was leading up to that before she was stricken with a migraine.

That would be a shocker! In terms of proof/evidence...interesting take.
