So things were called off for the afternoon? I missed that whole part. Thanks.

I watched him today, and being a court reporter, having to read back a question is the most terrifying thing that can happen. You are in the background, lawyers usually do not ask for read backs, but when they do, all eyes are on you, and poor Mike had millions of eyes on him

I really felt for him today.

You did a great job Mike.

It's almost a shame JA can't have another monitor for RealTime (that's the program we use in TX for a live feed) but I'm sure that would just backfire somehow/someway.

And kudos to you friend for being able to handle that job - I have much respect for y'all!!

Earlier today Nurmi leaned way back in his chair then kind of adjusted how he was sitting. I thought he was going to either break the chair or fall backwards.

He appeared shorter than Jennifer Wilmott when he was slouched down in his chair. He has to be a foot taller than her at least.

I wonder if he has back issues, and that's why he sits that way.

Maybe he wanted Flores to see him do the Jodi stretch.:) He is a big guy to sit all day on those chairs though.

ITA. I mean really, what young lady in her 20's, attractive, is going to sleep in her car on a stretch of highway en route to vegas or az.? I drive to vegas all the time and those roads are really dark at night. It is not a place to be alone in a stopped car at night. No way.

It makes no freaking sense.... I've never driven out West, but I wouldn't do that off any highway! Odd to say the least.

I believe Jodi is very intelligent and has been waiting for this for over 4 years.

Juan is making me laugh because he is getting rattled and she is so passive-agressive.

I'm sorry, but if Jodi is very intelligent, then she's a virgin too. Though I'm sure she will tell you she is both if she thinks that is what you want to hear.

She's not intelligent. She's stubborn as a stick, and she's cunning. That isn't intelligence. Sociopaths can be quite smart, and often they are brilliantly good at figuring out what people want to hear, then telling them that. I don't particularly see examples that she has a lot of talent in that area, even.

Sociopaths/psychopaths, in general, have huge blind spots. They don't have a long term plan, they do what they feel the urge to do in the moment. Some folks would find her fun and exciting to be around. She probably can be charming as all get out if she thinks she can schmooze her way into something good. She's got not one shred of personal integrity, so she'll do/say anything she thinks will help her. That still isn't intelligence.

Someone said that if you offer a psychopath the choice of $0.25 today or $5.00 tomorrow, they will take the quarter today. Every. Single. Time. Look at her. She murders a man simply because she is enraged that he is moving on, leaving her behind. She's not angry because she is so attached to him. She's angry because she has to win. And if he dumps her, she isn't the winner. So in a fit of spite, she kills a person. Not well planned. She can't think that far ahead. She can't recognize how everything she says lacks that resonance of truth. Everything points back to her. Within days she is locked up. And the best she can come up with is a story about bloodthirsty Arizona ninjas. A creative 5th grader can come up with a more plausible explanation.

Intelligence is the ability to adapt to changing situations. To learn from previous experience what does and doesn't work. On trial for her very life, she is unable to adapt to the way in which she has been cross examined. Don't get me wrong, Mr. Martinez is a hell of a prosecutor, and I certainly wouldn't want to go up against him in any situation. But she has had three years to do NOTHING but prepare for this. And she's killing herself because she can't stand to "lose" an argument. She has to try to look like the smartest person in the room, even though it's completely against her best interests in the long run. Sorry, no intelligence shining through there.

MOO, of course.

When Jodi is talking about the road trips through AZ, Nevada, Calif, and Utah I'm a bit envious. It's a stunning drive I've done several times. When I do it again, it'll be a bit strange knowing it's the route of this psycho.

My grandparents live in St. George and when she alleged that she threw the knife away there my jaw dropped!! Whether or not it's true, just knowing she crept through their town in a bloody rental car wigged me out a bit!!

I agree that it probably looks bad, I just hope people know that the reason we got so excited about her saying those crude things today is because she really showed her true colors. Even though his family probably didn't want to hear those things, I hope they were to happy to hear those words come out of her mouth the way they did today because it really went against what she was saying before. I really hope I'm making sense here... I'm really trying not to be insensitive. I would feel absolutely terrible if I were to offend them in any way and I can't even begin to say that I know how they feel. I just hope they know we are on Travis' team and are happy to hear her say things because it makes her look bad, not him. :escape:

I have sent a note to mods asking to open up a thread just for family like we did with ANOTHER trial. So they didn't have to see all this stuff IYKWIM.

OK.......I am looking and reconsidering this photo.

attachment.php

In the upper 1/5th of it.........there is "see through" on left right? Not sure if this is posting as a photo..........but this photo is not one I had seen this fully before. If not for the fore ground, the left top 1/5th looks like neck.......but the relationship to the floorboards and what may be right arm is offf....arm/shoulder too big. Thought before was shoe, now do not have any idea just guessing. Jeez.......wish that Juan had an expert to tell us!

ATL,
i did a quickie retouch, screwed up that top left corner. I thought it looked like a black flip-flop mid stride, right foot...

I will add everything to the list for now, and we can edit for celebratory nature if (WHEN!) there is a conviction. :)

Check out the video by Pink. The song is 'Please Don't Leave Me'

In the video the gender roles are swapped SHE is beating the carp out of the guy. She puts marbles at the top of a huge staircase so he stumbles and falls down them. I remember laughing when I saw this the first time.

HE wants to leave and even tho she's begging him not to go at the same time she's making him pay big for going!
I'll try to find the link. You've got to see this one!

I wondered that myself a few weeks ago when she was describing her relationship with Daryll as being completely free of all flirting, dating, hanky panky of any kind because he was her supervisor.... so if you believe that, only a day or two after he quits they are on a weekend trip and he's riding her.

Tell you what I think - she's had a Brazilian for years and has callouses on her lady "bits." That's why she didn't need lubricant for that first time with Travis of anal sex--probably already amply stretched out.

I am asking you other ladies out there. This woman does not exhibit normal sexual behavior. She treats a BJ like it was shaking hands and she offers it (and her other menu items) to every guy. You can bet that ratty middle aged PPL guy that was calling her every week was paying her to give him some thrills. BECAUSE SHE HAD NO VISIBLE MEANS OF SUPPORT BUT TRAVELED AT THE DROP OF A HAT, leaving her job, renting a car....

so I say the guy at the car rental place with her was just the john that provided the car rental money.

Pure speculation, all, but if you have ever seen prostitutes interviewed, or ever worked with them as a social worker or prison employee - Jodi sounds like one for sure with her comfort making her "offers"....

One wonders, huh?!

That PPL dude is just too strange for words. I've ALWAYS wondered about him and his "friendship" with Jodi. I bet you could very well be right. Especially about him!

It was Jodi who kept coming back for more and she will pay for it with her life.

Travis liked the sex. That's it. That's all. She introduced it to him and threw herself at him. It's obvious. He never stood a chance with that nutjob.

As a casual follower of this trial.

One thing I've learned in life is some people can try and justify anything to prove their view, even if they're mistaken. One need look no further than our politicians.

The way Peli C's it..

I'm far from being a lawyer but once had a contract law professor put it this way. It doesn't have to be right it doesn't have to be fair, it doesn't have to be just, it just has to be legal. Best legal lesson I've ever learned.

I think legally she murdered this man, she didn't just defend herself. She didn't use that much force to end a threat, she made sure he was going to die.

All this testifying and trying to prove it isn't fair or just is nothing but a big smoke screen to distract from the fact she murdered this man.

I think the jury will see right through her and realize she murdered this man.

This pic of the judge's face in that same link cracked me up :great:

It looks like a foot right over a threshold.

It's 1 min 16 seconds after the foot/arm/shoulder picture.

Ok who made the comment about her Right eye?

Linda7NJ ?

I agree something is going on there.
It was REALLY aimed more inward today.

A pontine glioma would be karmic justice. :what:

LOL...
Hey Jodi...
Take a lick... Take a BIG lick........... That's enough.

I'm surprised she didn't ask JM...
"How many licks does it take to get to the tootsie roll center of a tootsie pop?"

Ok, so I got to watch the morning session up to lunch. Then I had to go to work. Is there anything gooooood that I must watch on you tube. Or was she still a defiant turd after lunch?

It's kinda all running together at this point but...

Did you get to see the facial, G'Whizz, chucking candy, scram'n & prostitute feeling stuff?

The he G'whizzed on my face but ok saw it coming didn't feel like prostitute?

Side line chats:
Beth Ladas said they call her 'The Bunny Boiler'
Twitter nicknamed JA 'J*zzy Borden'

Other than that you prolly didn't miss anything ;)

I'm bored and tired talking about anal sex day and night. Woe is Jodi and her donkey act.

I enjoyed all your posts and music. See you tomorrow! :offtobed:

Since we're talking about songs that invoke some kind of connection to this trial, I'll add one that has been running thru my head today. And while I doubt Robert Smith from the Cure was thinking in quite the same terms, there are some phrases that are really sort of heartbreaking when I think of Travis:

The Cure - Pictures of You

I've been looking so long at these pictures of you
That I almost believe that they're real
I've been living so long with my pictures of you
That I almost believe that the pictures are
All I can feel

Remembering
You standing quiet in the rain
As I ran to your heart to be near
And we kissed as the sky fell in
Holding you close
How I always held close in your fear
Remembering
You running soft through the night
You were bigger and brighter and wider than snow
And screamed at the make-believe
Screamed at the sky
And you finally found all your courage
To let it all go

Remembering
You fallen into my arms
Crying for the death of your heart
You were stone white
So delicate
Lost in the cold
You were always so lost in the dark
Remembering
You how you used to be
Slow drowned
You were angels
So much more than everything
Hold for the last time then slip away quietly
Open my eyes
But I never see anything

If only I'd thought of the right words
I could have held on to your heart
If only I'd thought of the right words
I wouldn't be breaking apart
All my pictures of you

Looking so long at these pictures of you
But I never hold on to your heart
Looking so long for the words to be true
But always just breaking apart
My pictures of you

There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to feel you deep in my heart
There was nothing in the world
That I ever wanted more
Than to never feel the breaking apart
All my pictures of you

The song can be listened to at

I agree. I haven't seen any intelligence, in fact as the trial progresses she is looking less intelligent all the time. Cunning is what she is.
