Can we all agree that this girl doesn't have all her marbles? Does she deserve to die?

I thought the same kaki. I don't think he had any intention of visiting her. I think he was trying to appease her, and trying to keep her in CA away from him.

Maybe it was a combo of her realizing he was never going to actually come to CA, and finding out TA was taking another woman to Cancun, that sent her over the cliff.

Agreed. He finally got rid of her and I believe one of his friends has mentioned that he was relieved when she moved back to Yreka.

I think JM is playing an intricate chess game with her. All the talking heads want him to play something more straightforward and easier to follow. If he just asked questions..she would just lie or not answer or go to her script. He is keeping her off balance and guessing.

He is even playing to her narcisism.. Letting her correct him...like a cat playing with a mouse. I find it fascinating!

My worry though is who is on the jury? P12 types? He does need to tie everything together at some point and not assume the jury will figure it out and put all the pieces together.

He will tie it up with a nice bow in his closing argument. Just hope the jury understands "reasonable doubt". The P12 didn't get that at all.

I know JA's testimony is brain scrambling and tedious and may appear circular but there is a method to this madness and we have to be patient. Moreso, the jury needs to be patient.

JM doesn't have a lot to work with but what he is doing is fascinating and he is circling in on her.

JM is picking away at JA's lies showing her for the evil twisted person she is. We have learned so much about her in the three days of cross.

She's controlling, confrontational, a peeper and a stalker, loves sex, likes to take the sex to different levels and doesn't bat an eyelash taking about it to the world, planned her murder trip, lied and covered it up after, and kept on lying for years and is still lying.

I am as annoyed and frustrated with JA's testimony as anybody else but I see what JM is doing and it is working. JA sat up there yesterday afternoon talking like a phone sex worker and her intimate texts to Travis broadcast on the big screen. There was no shame. None at all. She was proud.

I was wondering if Travis was really ever planning to go see her as he said on the sex tape... Was he just saying that to keep her content? She was spouting off all the things they would do in CA ..and he kind of didnt respond.

Hard to tell I believe. I think he was drawn to her sexually....because he knew he could get it from her. But then again like you said....he may have been just saying it to keep her content.

I honestly believe the cover up about the murder and her just getting on with her life in lalaland is most important, based. On the brutal murder, it was anger at TA not fear, you would have shot or stabbed once ran out and called 911 if it was self defense, get out of there! But she knew exactly what she did, no black out then or ever, but ok you did black out and did this to another human being, lwop.

Yes, The death Penalty is for people like her.

Yes, she deserves death. I don't know about the marbles part but she knew the difference between right and wrong and chose to murder Travis in cold blood.

Good morning, fellow sleuthers!! JA better be well enough to take the stand today!! She decided to take the stand, so she must see it through - all of it.

My mind just keeps thinking of the defiant way she said yesterday, "If I didn't want it, then I wouldn't do it". That is not someone who is abused into submission! I think that is more the theme of her life. If she doesn't want it, it does not happen. If she wants it, she makes it happen.
It gives me goosebumps!!!

I watched that again, and I think there are a lot of truths here. The woman ninja is Jodi, with the knife. She added the man with the gun because originally I believe she wanted the crime scene to appear there were two people there - one with a gun and one with the knife (her).

She's sticking to the story of "I didn't see anything" on the stand by saying she now doesn't remember. But in her interrogation she does say she heard the gun shot and there was blood everywhere. I also believe that she is reliving the scene where Travis is screaming - which IMHO obviously happened when one is being attacked.

She is merely making up charachters, when in fact she's talking about herself. I did notice that she said she was touching Travis's back, which is how she is explaining (outside her mind) that she was not touching, she was stabbing.

It's interesting if you break down her statements and compare it to what she's been saying on the stand.

MOO of course.

Mel

I'm with you. She drew on bits of the truth in that little scenario to make it more believable. She does that with most of her lies IMO. It helps her remember her falsehoods. She never dreamed Martinez' "posture" would throw her memory off!

If today is the day Juan gets to the murder, and the evidence photos of the murder, I think we will all hear a lot of different variations of"I don't remember" from Jodi. I also expect her to cry, and this would be a time when she might dissolve into shaking sobs and need a recess to compose herself (delay and buy time).

It will be a tough day for the family of Travis, but JM needs to give Jodi many opportunities to say she "doesn't remember" so this is burned into the brain of every juror, IMO.

And then drive home the "fugue state" driving in the desert, and the Costco bottled water sponge bath to clean up the blood, followed by grinding the new man in the LoveSac. AND the calls and VM to Travis' cell phone AFTER she knew he was dead at her hands.

The jury hopefully will be as sickened as we all are.

Smile and say cheese, Jodi. It's time for your close up. There is nothing to be sad about, right?

I do not think she is sick but evil.

What really puzzles me is why did she kill TA with the same gun that was stolen from her grandparents? Think about how stupid that is. Did she think that they couldn't add (2 + 2)? I really believe she didn't think she was going to get caught. I hear some people say she is very intelligent, but you have to wonder. I just can't figure this out.

She almost cut the man's head off, stabbed him 29 times and shot him in the head. Did he deserve to die?

she's not mentally ill---like schizophrenic or something. she has a personality disorder. she's a psychopath, i'm convinced by everything i've read about psychopaths. she cannot be fixed. to protect society, yes, she should die. because i have no doubt she's a future threat.

Can you honestly say she knows the difference between fantasy and reality?

ITA--I noticed she looked depressed and defeated when Juan asked the court reporter to read back the question--it took the wind right out of her sails.

I loved that new tactic of his. He became passive/aggressive just to get her goat!

My bet is she doesn't show up today.

Do these TH's on TV even do research? Inmates are not given lunch in Arizona! She could bring some of her bread and peanut butter for lunch if she is hungry.
