well, I have to admit this......up til yesterday....I have never even heard of this word before......hubby walks thru the door after work and I asked him about it.....he even blushed and said...."Dear, that word has been around forever"....I hadn't a clue.....:blushing:

Kristi Paul's guest this morning on IS is saying she doesn't think it's that unusual for her to have attended Travis' funeral. Where my opinion parts from her is where she says that "abuse victims" attend funerals. What's actually not unusual is for a premeditated murderer to attend the funeral. They often place cops at funerals to look for just that. My sister's funeral was filled with under cover cops unbeknownst to us.

I am listening to yesterdays testimony and I hate to admit this but if I were a juror on this trial, I am convinced I would vote guilty because she is so freaking annoying or at least jump out of the jury box slap the S&*T out of her. They have to be going crazy! She is a horrible human being!!!!

I am shocked by how much "support" she has gained from her fellow inmates. I had hoped she'd end up at the bottom of the food chain, but she really seems to be able to handle the other ladies.... how is that possible?

Remember this is jail and not prison.

BBM That would be most considerate of Mr. Nurmi - but surely the well-being and comfort of the jury is the judge's responsibility? In any event, I think he would be a little too late with any effort to have the jury not resent his client.

I have no idea what his true motive is for the precise cut off in future, but it ain't going to help his client! IMO

Katiecoolady opined that it was because Jodi was sinking fast, and Nurmi had to shut her down.

I think that's probably closest to the truth, IMO.

Agreed. I think that she went to the service to: A. Use it as part of her alibi because she thought no one would expect the murderer to show up at the service. B. She wanted to know how much information everyone else had about what was found, suspects, etc. C. In her sick mind, she was still trying to exert control.

I agree. I was thinking about the tape where she came out with the ninja story. She was genuinely crying when she said that she ran away like a little b... and I was trying to figure out why and then I realized that she doesn't like to be seen in a bad light. She would have preferred to be the hero in the story, not the coward who ran away and didn't call anyone for help.

Her preferred public reality is that she was wonderful and Travis was wonderful and they had the love story of all time and someone came along and killed him. She must be furious that no one believed that and she's had to come out with alternate stories to try to avoid prison, none of which make her look good. The mask is gone for good.

And don't forget she would rather have gone to prison than sully Travis's reputation. She's a regular saint!

It makes a weird kind of sense--because in jail you are basically a discarded person. No one is on your side, very few care if you live or die. Jodi is a "hero" to them on many levels. She has a cool, relaxed demeanor and excellent public speaking skills--she makes ladies in jail look good. She can hold her own in conversation, does not have a criminal past, and has brought a lot of energy and attention to their jail. She is their "star" player, and an underdog. A win for her would be a win for them.

If the journal doesn't get her, something else will. Besides, it doesn't even matter, IMO, anymore whether TA liked little boys or not. I don't even care about that.
