ATL - Why are you all red?

'cause I'm practicing stuff! In addition to listening to all day on another thread and easy for me to screen where I was last at by color!

I would have thought someone who is Mormon would have an issue with someone who claims to be psychic? My mother is a priest (anglican) and she thinks anything to do with ghosts / psychic beliefs etc is akin to blasphemy .. Is that just some Christians who think this way .. Does Mormonism subscribe to beliefs in psychic abilities?

Thank you so much!

Can they make me stop eating?

LOLOL!!

Regarding Jean Casarez:
This is one commentator who is in entirely over her head. The woman is CLUELESS. It is astounding to watch questions posed to her. She never understands the questions correctly, she never answers the questions put to her, and she pontificates on irrelevant unrelated issues. Her commentary is largely pure drivel. She frequently misses the point entirely or she puts emphasis on the wrong point.

Case in point- she was reporting on the Arizona Supreme Court decision when this judicial body denied request of interlocutory review. Casarez first called it “INTERROCKATORY” and then corrected herself with INTERROGATORY - again wrong.

The lady’s face is made up of pure Botox. Her lips hardly move. Her hairdo is age inappropriate. She manages to dress in wardrobes that range from jungle wear to sleeveless casual.
I cannot understand how this talentless lady made it to InSession for any reason.

Whenever JC is on the screen I immediately mute the TV and await coherent intelligent discussion from somebody else.

So, how do you really feel? But seriously, your analysis is spot on, as far as I'm concerned. And bonus, it made me giggle.

So does a Ford Focus really only hold 12 gallons of gas? Wow...

Yes, we have one. But you get a LOT of miles out of that tank.

Maybe it was okay because she was psychic as a sock?

Awww lol. I put my 14 pages of notes on the court observer thread.

AFter you read it wanna go over to the Hollywood Hotel Tower of Terror? That's my favorite ride (but not at Epcot). Then we'll get an ice cream sandwich, ok?

I've completely forgot how to navigate WS. Since the trial began I just leave the thread up at the end of the day and resume with it the next morning. Everything I've needed has been within those threads -- live stream links, media and timelines, etc. So I had to exert more brain power than normal to go back to the Court Observer Threads and others.

I remember a time when I was involved in other threads here.... those were the good old days.... like December. :) Glad the company here is so good, we're going to be here until the holidays (not specifying which year).

After I read can we go on the Tea Cups spinny ride and get cotton candy? I'm a coward and prefer staying on the ground while in fancy chinawear amusement rides. Hold me lol

I found the money talk interesting, too, and I'd like to read everyone's thoughts on it more. I don't know much about the background details so I'm constantly asking questions as they come up. Was there evidence of her bank account totals, how much cash did she have on her, did she steal money from Travis' house, what was the whole deal on the checks so prominantely placed in his office, how much did she charge and how did she eat, and blah blah, all that. I guess if I had the time or inclination, I'd go digging. These are just the questions I'm asking myself today. Tomorrow will be a whole new set of questions. Where's Diane Fanning when I need her???

Some of the stuff she bought was put on her credit card. I think she paid cash for some because she didn't think it would be as easy to trace. She probably DID "borrow" cash from one or more of her many ex-boyfriends.

I was surprised that JM did not point out that, despite being strapped for cash, she went to Starbucks, which is expensive. You can get coffee from McDonalds (it's CRAPPY coffee, IMO, but much less expensive). She also had facial scrub or body scrub items on her Walmart receipt. These would also be considered (by me) to be splurging for someone who is strapped for cash.

And then there's the tax questions that were briefly touched upon. She opened the door about being a righteous person who would never cheat on her taxes, so he started to ask her when was the last time she actually FILED for taxes. Her attorney quickly shut that down, but I think the points were made, both on how ludicrous it is for her to be smug about not cheating on taxes by claiming expenses for her "detour" to Mesa as a business trip when she really went there to kill Travis (I'm pretty sure that's not considered a deductible expense by the IRS), and also pointing out that she either was a deadbeat on taxes or did not make enough to NEED to file taxes.

Oh, I know about the lazy eye thing, but my sister has strabimus and she is so lovely. I guess not to everyone. Oh well. She is beautiful to everyone who KNOWS her. Like me.

And playing devil's advocate again, a snub nose isn't everyone's idea of beauty, either. Sophia Loren is considered to be one of the greatest beauties of our time. My dad married my mom because (he said) she looked like Sophia and was an amazing water skier!

Sadly, my mom was always embarassed about her "prominent" nose instead of loving who she was! Because "people" thought big noses were ugly and "ethnic".

No offense, OBE, but I do think comments like yours cause a lot of self-consciousness in women. Not every woman is picture perfect super model, but many of those same women who don't fit the "pretty" profile are still lovely and amazing.

You probably don't mean any harm. You often post how attractive you are so maybe you don't realize that to some women, those assessments are hurtful. Beautiful people sometimes don't understand that picking apart the physical attributes of others is really cruel and unnecessary.

I mean, I believe JA has proven herself to be ugly by her actions. But picking apart her physical attributes only insults other women who share those attributes and are lovely women.

.

I'm not the OP, but I think many of us find Jodi "ugly" because of what she did to Travis....It's easy to nitpick the looks of a nasty killer. KWIM? MOO and all that.

Nurmi: Ms Arias, let me ask you a question. You know.....that....at this point in time.....uh, even though you've done the very best lying of your life....aaaaand, we've been through uh.....every minute DETAIL of your sorry life......uh....annnnnd....even though we've practically suspended reality to uhhh...keep your evil hiney off of death row...uh....you know your goose is pretty well cooked right?

JA: Uhmm..........................well, it depends on how you define "cooked". I'm thinking...it MIGHT be cooked, but it could just be a little cooked, not a lot cooked. Uhmm, IIII'd have to say......maybe.....yes and no?

Nurmi: And how does that make you feeeeel? :great:

This woman co-host on Dr.Drew is annoying!!

Is she the one who is either smiling or looks confused? And she asks questions that are so basic, I'm sure most of the audience knows the answer. Not her-- she looks surprised every time an answer is given!

She is unbearable - all that mugging for the camera. If she was my shrink, I'd fire her.

No, he would have to actually ask a question before moving on. Otherwise he's simply making a speech, which would be objectionable.

TY
What I saw today more than any other day was Nurmi's objections were actually 'leading' JA into her next answer on the 'overruled' obejctions..
Did anyone else notice this?

JA is gonna use PTSD as an excuse for memory loss, but Juan has been clearly pointing out at every opportunity JA's lack of memory and asking her to admit she has memory issues before the PTSD. Brilliant work Jaun!:great:

Ok I'm talking about I know a lot about BUT I think they kinda do.. I've got a book printed in the 40's about prophesies aka future seeing that has notes/entries from some head/prophet of the LDS church about future so I'm thinking this may not be frowned upon as much as other churches JMO could be talking out my a$$ :floorlaugh:

My interpretation is it is a sheet or towel or something, soaked in blood, that is being used to pull his body?
Just my own view and I am not sure!

I have been looking at this and trying to figure it out as well. Have seen a couple interpretations: the killers foot / black shoe and Travis' bloodied thigh / knee area (turn the photo upside down). I keep thinking it is as you are saying though, a cloth of some sort underneath his body that is soaked with blood. This because of what appear to be creases or wrinkles in the cloth. It's really hard to tell though.

I did notice in one of the trial photos a woman in the courtroom was holding up a rectangular piece of cloth with what appeared to be pinkish stains, had been apparently washed already. I wonder if that's what it was.

he also rubbed his eyes!!! (wasn't that a sign of hearing a lie?)

that is about the ONLY part I got to see today due to Mother Nature and her snow machine.

(I trust the day was good???)

Wow! I hope you have better weather tomorrow, it will be full of Bombshells.. If my TV goes out, i'm on a plane outta here to AZ

I'll be peering in a courtroom window

the way I see the "we" talk today is when she is talking about meeting MM and his roommate at a bar or somewhere then "they" go back to the house he is living at....that was my take on when she said "we"
