Because I firmly believe Jodi wrote this to Travis' girlfriend (one he had a budding romance with) and Jodi was out of the picture (well not fully, she still snuck around back and peered in his windows, and saw this girl and wrote her this lovely tidbit.

THIS is not a stable person. If she is talking to this BC we see on TV, then he is taken in by her tremendously and believes this stuff and the blood of atonement story...I think we need a wider net... cough cough

i'm a jean casarez fan. i think she's fabulous in what she does. i think she likes to play devils advocate.

I like her, too, and think she is probably a really nice person but she does bug me to no end sometimes! I've said this a thousand times and I realize people are probably sick of me saying it, but I still can not let go of the time during the Melanie McGuire trial when she kept calling Melanie "a lovely, lovely woman". My God, the woman was on trial for hacking to death her husband, putting the parts into suitcases and throwing them into the Chesapeake Bay, but there was Jean gushing over how lovely Melanie was.

Is this the brother she hit with the baseball bat?? I can understand why may feel this way.. JMO but I'm guessing that wasn't the last of untoward things she probably did to him over years.. If we are on target about PD Borderline I'm sure she impacted a few of his personal relationships/friendships. I wonder if more to why she moved with the G'parents.. Hmm??

I gotta say, though, I am pretty sure I would have the self-control to resist a man whom I suspected to be a crazy stalker even were he to shake his wanger at me with a bottle of lube in each hand. Ya know. Using those masculine wiles.

I get your point, really I do, but it discounts the nature of a relationship with a psychopath or an abusive personality.

Jodi would've worked very, very determinedly to rid Travis of any doubts or concerns. She would have skewed actual events to distort his perception further. She would have gaslighted him - insisting and making him believe what he saw or heard wasn't really what happened. She would have emotionally blackmailed him - threatening to hurt herself unless he was with her. She would have guilt tripped him - perhaps making him feel responsible for the nature of their relationship because of his religion. She would have threatened him. She would have coerced him. She would have used crazy-making. She would have engineered events to control a certain outcome - much like the tape. She would have rolled out every single emotional manipulator designed with the sole purpose of control.

And after a few months or years of that - especially when one is living with the psychopath - you lose all sense of reality and 'absorb' their version of it. You don't know its happening and you can't control or stop it because you aren't fully cognizant. It's part of the abuse itself - getting you to the point where you stop analyzing and just accept.

Even once you realize the person is 'off', abusive, disordered, or psychopathic though you still cannot begin to imagine the depths of depravity these beings will stoop to all in a concerted effort to thoroughly punish, destroy, humiliate, torture and ruin their victims. Not until you start to see it for yourself. It is truly terrifying the evil engineering their minds are capable of contemplating.

Pretend for a moment Travis had followed Jodi's plan through to marriage and children. Scary thought. Just because she perceived herself a Mormon does not mean they would like, accept and include her.

Jodi is a hunter, discarding the prey after trapping it, but expecting complete and utter obedience and worship of her for ALLOWING the freedom.

Am I the only one who believes Jodi cut her right index finger ON PURPOSE on May 31 and took that "trophy picture?" As a former HR Manager at a hotel with two restaurants and a banquet hall, we took our own photos in Worker's Comp cases and I wrote the reports in cases. Servers with injuries like that were taken care of promptly with the right bandages or sent to our physician for stitches. FOR FREE!

This could ACTUALLY work to the prosecution's advantage as even more proof of premeditation - this time, WITH THE KNIFE!

But if that cut was there last week when she was on cross, why was it not mentioned as visible. she specifically pointed out not such a visible cut did she not? so confusing even when you go back and read the testimony from last week.

That is where that information would be best served as it would help the jurors decide whether TA was a pedo or had hyper sexuality as JA claims. Whether he was one or the other actually shouldn't matter but may give a better indication JA is a liar once again.

OK this is JMO and :twocents: worth and I've only watched the on-line trial posts (Youtube) from day one, and read a wee bit from WS posters. If I was on that jury, I would find JA guilty of premeditated 1st degree murder and sentence her to the DP. To me it is so apparent JA has lied about so many things and a lot of it seems so fabricated. NO ONE in their right mind would remember ALL the finer details which she seems to remembers. BUT how convenient, she cannot remember the most important part of the murder. The FACT that she killed him and HOW she killed him speaks volumes. This is not a woman who is defending herself. A woman defending herself would have ran out of that house. IMO Jodi does NOT suffer from abused woman syndrome. I stated my belief on this subject way back; she is too self assured, arrogant, independent and blameless/narcissistic. The way she smirks on the stand and defends herself tells me she would not stand for anyone "bullying" her physically, verbally or emotionally. Again JMO.

To me it appears she wanted everything TA had and him. I do believe he did not see Jodi as someone he could connect with as a soul mate, but only someone who suited his sexual desires. Whether she introduced him to sex, or whether he had had multiple sex partners prior to or during his time with Jodi, to me is JMO irrelevant Mormon or not. It was something both enjoyed and partook in and I for one do not believe at any time Jodi was not a willing participant.

It seems to me once TA started to give her the "push off", she became obsessed with pushing herself right back at him. She figure if she was going to make him love her and want her, and she figured sex was the ticket. When it became apparent to her TA was involved with other women and there was no hope of getting him back other then for sex, she probably felt somewhat used sexually (JA's claim, like used toilet paper or a prostitute), and this angered/hurt her enough that day she knew what the end result was going to be (if she didn't hear what she wanted so desperately to hear from TA), as she had premeditated it for some time. By the end of their day together on June 4th she knew for certain she was being used by TA for his sexual pleasures and more than likely there was no talk of them getting back together or future together. He was heading off to Cancun with another woman; not Jodi, his travel plans were final and that irked her all the more so she killed him savagely. I for one do not believe the BWS theory the defense is claiming. Bottom line; she killed TA, not in self defense but in anger and jealousy. Premeditated and carried out and for that, I feel she deserves the DP. All :moo:
