She used the finger to prove he abused her. It was the only physical proof she has. Problem is she has already admitted to Flores that it came from the knife. jmo

The defense team also could have, several years ago, searched for The Gun. It is the main part of her "self defense" claim. They have Jodi (who could give the general location). They have power to hire investigators to search for it.
It could prove, IF found:
A. It was not grandpas gun (huge argument against premeditation)
B. serial # could prove if purchased by Travis or someone close to him who may have given it to him for protection.

It seems they never looked

He has to put someone on the stand to say they were the person who was meant to get the messages. Juan knows who that person is and it is speculated it is MM. Juan would not have already brought those magazine in unless he had a statement from MM. My guess is they put pressure on him to tell the truth. While he claims he would lie for her I think the threat of a jail sentence would be an incentive to tell the truth. jmo

She has now told so many stories about her fingers to so many people that I think the entire finger business could be thrown out completely by the jury.

Esp since there is ZERO corroboration to this "kicking injury" . The only evidence comes in from an admitted and known pathological liar.

No, to the first question, just her testimony saying it was her finger. Q2: Jodi admitted to tearing out the pages and just said they were negative thoughts and as an afterthought she decided to remove them. And, I think that was pretty much it. jmo

I can see women becoming more familiar with the idea, but there's no way in hell I'd want to try most of the things that are out there. :floorlaugh: This was just a theory I read about that was trying to explain why more women would agree to something that doesn't sound like it would be much fun for them. Someone posted several days ago that at the evidentiary hearing for the forged pedo letters Juan told MM that if he brought the letters up at trial he'd file perjury charges before MM's "feet him the floor" from the witness stand. I'm pretty sure the wrath of an angry Juan is more than enough to persuade MM of the merits of telling the truth.

I don't get why the DT doesn't at this point just get an x ray of the finger. Would a medical exam prove how long the injury has occurred? At this point, it's like, just do the subpoena, it's got to be cheaper than indulging her lies.

The defense didn't get an x-ray of the finger because it wouldn't show that it was broken. The prosecution would have an almost impossible time telling her to get one since it's an "invasive" procedure (x-rays).

I think DT is just going to drag this on and on and on in the hopes of something triggering a mistrial . Here's hoping that today, the judge cracks down , sustains JM's valid objections, stops the defendant's monologues as well as her speaking for the victim AND stops letting in "evidence" that has recently surfaced or of suspect origins or has been heavily edited by the dt. There's a huge difference between being lenient over appeal concerns and what is now happening in that court room. JMO
