who was beaten year after year by a man she could not escape or who wouldn't let her go no matter what she did. This is not a woman who finally gave into the fear or even some rage after horrible, crushing abuse. It's not like she watched this man beat her, the kids and the pets for a decade. She is the antithesis of a battered woman. SHE wouldn't leave HIM alone. HE was the victim of an abusive relationship with a manipulative and intrusive woman. Ugh!!!

Thank you so much for posting this.As a battered woman myself, it's been very unsettling to see Nurmi portraying Jodi as a battered woman. I do not see one thing in Jodi that I feel myself from being Battered. I see Jodi as self assured, smug, independent, a fighter and one that has no real fear of anything but the consequences of the act that she chose to commit. I got out of my 29 year nightmare with my ex 13 years ago, and am STILL in recovery, finding my self esteem and assertiveness. Still learning to stand up for myself. Jodi shows no sign at all of ever being abused that I can see. She is definitely not making me feel the sympathy and understanding for a battered woman. All I can feel for her is : OFF WITH HER HEAD:

I told my husband Trutv was not carrying the trial anymore. He said "probably because of the sex talk, I am sick of hearing about it."

He is 70 yrs old.

He believes she is guilty and should get the death penalty, as do I.

There are plenty of unregistered guns in Texas...you don't have to register guns that you've had forever. Some might not know that and go register them..

Thanks for the link. Can someone explain or show on a photo or diagram exactly where the area is shown in #118 in the first slide show?

I'm confused by experts saying the camera had to be on the floor, button face down, and stepped on when #119 was taken since it was upside down. To me it seems that JA was wearing the camera by the neck strap and that #119 was taken as she was bending over dragging TA's body, and gravity turned the camera upside down. I just now tried it with my camera on a neck strap and replicated the shot easily.

That being the case, it would seem to me that #118, which is right side up, was taken as JA was attacking TA and either her torso moved backward or the violent movement made the camera bounce upward. Thoughts, anyone?

Also, can anyone explain how, if the timer function wasn't being used, how it could happen that all 22 photos in the shower and dragging sequence were even-numbered seconds, while at least one of the earlier photos--the one of TA at 1:47:15--was an odd-numbered second? Or why the camera kept taking photos more than 2 minutes (62 seconds and 76 seconds respectively) after the ceiling shot?

On second thought, none of it matters, only that (hopefully) the jury will come to the right decision.

just a couple of points:

when the trial first started, one of the CSI members testified that the camera strap was still in the camera bag, and in its original wrapping.... meaning it was never used.

they are saying the camera was upside down in the dragging picture, because when they took the SD card out of the camera, the picture was TAKEN upside down, meaning the image they retrived from the SD was upside down. The camera most likely got scooted (is that a word) around the floor when she attacked him and when she was bringing him back into the bathroom, she backed into it, and the shutter button hit the floor, therefore the picture was upside down.

Not that I beleive what she says, but there is some truth to her lies.
I believe her when she said she didnt know how the camera settings worked. TA had just gotten the camera, and she hadnt seen it yet, which is probably why they used his camera for the pictures and (supposedly) her camera for the movies, cause she couldnt figure out how to work the settings and such.

That part, I do find believeable.

I don't think I have even seen a trial, or one of those shows about crimes, where a victim was so thoroughly trashed, without one bit of evidence. Not one bit of proof. And only coming from the cold-sored mouth of the killer.

From the CA trial, I am sick of defense attorneys and their lying clients being able to say any freaking thing they want with no evience to back it up.

For instance WHY can't Jodi's stalkish behavior (tire slashing) be brought up? Even though there is no concrete proof? Why is she allowed to talk about Travis accusing him of being a pedophile, of abusing her, relaying things he said to her with no freaking proof?

IIRC, one of the lawyers here said that defenses that trash the victim rarely win.

I never said Ibelieved he died in sexual sin I said JODI in her warped mind probably thought that. She was out to make him into a bad MORMON and trash him in every way was my point. Please read the context of what is being written before implying that I believed that at all.

One of Travis' friends stated on a facebook post that JODI (not you or me, or anyone I know) thought this very thing. He wrote a beautiful post about how wrong she is and Travis is just fine, this I know we do believe. I know his family knows this also.

MM was who the magazine message was meant for. He did pretty much say that he would lie for her and Jodi was convinced of it. He was also the one that she claimed had supposedly seen the bruises on her neck from the strangling claim, and JA said that they had talked about it. Juan asked her if she was sure about that, so he suggested that they call MM on the phone in court. They did call and MM said that he had never seen any bruises on JA and had never had any discussion with JA about TA supposedly strangling her. The look on her face was priceless. Matt obviously has had a change of heart about his willingness to lie for Jodi!!!

I have not seen that footage. Is there a link to this somewhere?
