This is the way controlling abusers work. They cause all this drama, you may end up breaking up, then they come back and say they changed their mind. Back - forth/back - forth.

It's when the abused REFUSES to go back with the abuser, it can turn deadly, or at the least, scary.

It happened to one of my daughters. I was so glad she was away at school and the guy didn't have ready access to her. Course, I assumed he wouldn't drive 100 miles to get her. Fortunately, she had his dad intervene and he found another victim, eh,.... g/f.

IMO, he was not as emotionally invoved as Jodi, much easier to end a relationship. He should have ended it. Jodi was not strong enough emotionally but Travis was. She was the mouse that T pawed, clawed and tossed into the air. T got off on toying with herjust like a cat. If you have ever beeen in love, you would know how difficult if not impossible for you to end it. I was lucky that when I was in that situation, the guy was noble enough to end it even tho' sex still great.

Respectfully, if you've ever been involved with a psychopath you'd know it's next to impossible to end anything - unless they're incarcerated, dead, or finished with you and moving onto their next victim. Considering one of the players here is dead, and I have unfortunate experience with a psychopath myself, I think your cat and mouse scenario is a bit backwards but that's truly just my admittedly biased stance.

what do you all make of the defense atty that practices in AZ (sometimes against JM) saying that Juan M "attack dog" questioning could be his own liability. Claiming that JM does not know when to stop and jurors do not like it??

i'd say JM has an amazing record of convicting murderers.
