ANOTHER stranger, in a restaurant, approaching her about a "cheating boyfriend"? :waitasec: Seems like there are lots of magnanimous diners in AZ!

I'm not one that thinks that EVERYTHING she says is a lie, but this does not ring true to me and it clearly didn't ring true to Travis. In the text he referred to the lady at the restaurant as her "imaginary friend". (I saw it when it flashed on the screen.)

Exactly. She couldn't very well say, "I knew he was cheating on me because I snooped through his things and found out..." So She makes up an imaginary person who told her...

not blaming the victim, but there is SO much more he could have done to get rid of her. He could have called the police, got a restraining order, change the locks etc. If one thing is not working then keep on trying until something does work.

IF It came down to extreme measures, he could have moved out of Arizona if he had too.
BBM

She drove 1,000 miles to slaughter him, so no, I don't think moving would have helped him any. And people like Jodi laugh at restraining orders, police visits and locks, IMO.

WHy does any of this crap matter?

Well one thing I've learned from this trial is that if your ex says that you are crazy its because he/she actually is (JA saying TA was) MOO

I agree. After hearing today's testimony it's clear nothing could have stopped this from happening. Travis could not stop her. Not even 1,000 miles could stop her.

I don't think he even really tied to stop her and yes she eventually could be stopped if he would have gotten serious and called the police and told him about her stalking him and what was really going on.

Let's not say that he tried everything he could to no avail because he clearly did not.

If he had too he could have moved out of Arizona.

(again not blaming him but there is much more he could have done to prevent this (Jodi stalking him) but for whatever reason chose not too).

The Arias family is having such a fun time today!

Hopefully the Alexander family can have such a raucous time when JA is headed to the injection room....

Respectfully those are often things people believe every abuse victim is able to do.

A couple of points though:
- Fear of the abuser or retaliation - sometimes even the shame, embarrassment, and humiliation involved - often precludes a victim from even telling friends and family, much less authorities.
- Many judges refuse to grant a restraining order on grounds of largely psychological abuse. (I actually DID have this happen to me, despite my ex pulling a gun on me twice, a knife a few times, setting fire to our house, and threatening to kill me repeatedly.)
- Abusers and psychopaths alike will largely look for loopholes in a victim's safety net. It is my opinion Jodi never had a key and Travis never knew Jodi knew his garage code in order to gain access to the house.
- Male victims of psychopaths and abusers specifically feel they are able, or should be, to control the abuser. In part due to societal influences propagating men can't be abuse victims; women aren't violent; etc.

Haha Travis gave it to her good in that text

I agree! Want to know if there is a way to send a text to a phone via a computer? (tech ignorant here)

Yes. If you have a Sprint phone, for example, you can log in to your account from your computer and there is a location to send texts from.

Paying me back is not a term used by someone who is collecting a debt from the sale of a product. Just sayin.

  • #560
I thought she said he owed her money? Ouch lies biting her on the butt.
