Yes. But here she is denying that, because premeditation doesn't fit with self-defense. So she's going to have to come up with another way of having access to the .25.

And BTW, no one in the legal community is going to do anything about her theft of the gun.

Yes. The judge speculated in her ruling keeping it on the table, that it could be if she broke into Travis' home. But the state had a other reason, I think it was she could have been assaulting him (not intending to murder), but her died as a result.

Someone on the legal thread explained it.

Basically, as I understand it, it is aback-up plan so that if the jury does not find premeditated murder, they can still find felony murder and sentence her to life, instead of finding her guilty of a lesser-included (which would be less than life).
