Another discrepancy from today (maybe it's been mentioned I am way behind reading posts) Why would she have packed those picture Cd's for Travis in the rental car? She testified she had not planned to visit him.

Wow Grammy Jean That is a great point, why did she have those CDs in the rental car..Hope JM is going to ask her about that.

Lunch break: first I'm glad we are finally getting down to it. Second I want to say she's obviously never been abused as she knows NOTHING about how tensions actually build. Third she's lying anyway so mute point.

She snuck in without him knowing .. She went to his office first. The dog alerted Travis that she was there, and they discussed something (prob why she was there) in the kitchen. Then I think she asked to be allowed to sleep before driving on and he caved. Next day sounds like she dragged it all out for as long as possible eg lets have sex, I can't leave while your roommate is here, let me take photos etc.

This is just quick thoughts .. Can't wait to revisit. Murder tomorrow. JM next week - finally!!

Her body language has MASSIVELY changed today. 99% of the time, Jodi's eye-contact is like she's watching a tennis match. She consistently looks at Nurmi to receive a question, then turns to look the jury DIRECTLY in the eyes.

But not today... Suddenly, she's:

-- Looking DOWN while Nurmi throws her a question (like she's on "Jeopardy," trying hard to remember/envision her rehearsed answer) and

-- Looking AT NURMI to answer many questions. She can't look the jury in the eye today, which is rare.

She's not having fun spinning her fairy tale life story any more. Now she really has to work, to get this right... to remember the lies she knows JM will NAIL her on.

Either that, or someone on that jury is throwing dagger-eyes at her. And she knows she's not being believed. I think she's wilting.

I think she knows the jury isnt buying what she is trying to sell and that is why she isnt looking at them. No need they arent looking at her, imo.

JA said today that she and TA made a sex tape on the day of the murder and on HER camera because they couldn't figure out how to do that on his new camera.

Was JA's camera seized/processed?
Any info on her camera?
Or, just another smoke screen?

Not even close! You're a master baiter aren't you???? :floorlaugh:

I think Katiecoolady must have me on ignore though. She has not uttered a word in response to my (totally serious) inquiries about Mr. M, esq.

I'd do it myself if I lived there (I would, I have no shame and even less modesty, as we all discovered during the BC murder trial).

:laughcry:

You're too funny!!! ;)

Plus she said he got the knife from the block in the kitchen but, none were midding and I bet all of them have been tested for blood.

:what: what a freaky avitar. LOL

I haven't seen her indulge him excessively. She has given in on objections I think should have been sustained but it is a death penalty case so she's giving a little extra leeway. Other than that, she's not going to step in where there are no objections and he's really not controlling the schedule. Lawyers are typically allowed to suggest the point at where to break when it's close to the break time anyhow.

Thanks gitana1 - that makes sense. It just seems like Nurmi is getting so much latitude. Was Baez able to dictate breaks, and how late court went? I don't remember that.

LoL, maybe the judge just gets so sick of listening to him she jumps at the suggestion .

He is actually doing his job and her job. He is doing the testifying and just getting her to agree or take his lead.

I agree wholeheartedly....as does my niece who is a court reporter. Said she has never seen a judge allow some of the happening ....ie: the defense attorney constantly going back and forth from one date/event to another and back again is coming from either an inexperienced attorney or one who is trying to confuse/mislead the jury. She said most judges would let the attorney know to get his act together, and do it quickly. She said she has never seen a judge allow a defendant to write a book for each answer and lastly she said she has never seen a judge allow the defense attorney to blatantly lead the defendant and/or testify for the defendant. In my nieces' words this is a fuster cluck. She asked if this is the judges first DP trial? Does anyone know??

Is it wrong that a little tiny part of me really wants to see NG prosecute a case now and go at a defendant?
Years ago I saw a short clip of her from a courtroom. But I'd kinda like to see her let loose.

I'm skipping around threads because I can't keep up with them all.

I don't believe for a single second that it took that long for the dog to notice her. Not only would it have alerted on her coming into the house, let alone the ROOM, but it would have known the moment she pulled into the DRIVEWAY! Plus it was a rental car, so she can't even say that the dog knew it was her by the sound of the car. I call total BS on that one (I call it on MOST of what she said, but on that one at this particular moment). Even if she did not park in the driveway in the first place, the dog STILL would have alerted the moment she stepped ONTO the driveway. It's his territory; it's his JOB.

I know that when I whip out the rope for kinky time, I too find it very important to stretch out the rope, measure it, and cut it into nice even pieces to tie my partner up with.

That's usually a major area of concern in the 'tie me up' fantasy. Gotta get the rope pieces juuuuust right!

Really? She's in jail for years and this is what she comes up with?
:waiting:

Yes, let's find a way to integrate blaming Travis for the gun with twisted sex too. I'm sure she'll have some sick fantasy created where he wanted to hold her at gunpoint or something.

You know a couple of days ago somebody posted about TA's sleigh bed and The fact that that would have to be a long rope. Voila!

With just the parts I have been able to watch so far, she did seem quite "off script" today. I also have noticed it appeared Nurmi had to lead her questions more than usual for her to understand what answer she was supposed to give. She also appears to have more inconsistencies today.

The meltdown has begun.......bring on Juan!

:D

Absolutely no way! She couldn't remember her lies 5 minutes apart. Did you catch where when she got to Travis' house and went in through the back, he met her and carried her luggage for her? The next minute she was standing there watching him watch youtube videos because he didn't know she was there!

WTF? :banghead:

Why the eff would she bring luggage into his house, or would he let her? She arrived at 4am. She was supposed to leave the next day to see Ryan. LUGGAGE?! She only planned to be inside for like 12 hours, MAX. A toothbrush, maybe -- but LUGGAGE?!

(Oh, that's right. She had to get the gun and knife inside in something!)

I think Nurmi is going to keep her on the stand with direct all week. They have to cover the murder, then the aftermath, including the trip to Utah, her return home, and what happened when the body was found. They have a lot of messed up stuff to try and explain away.

I don't think JM will get his chance until next Tuesday. :waiting:

Yeah, you're right about it being the rest of the week... at least. I forgot about all the post murder stuff Nurmi will have to take her through. But on the bright side of that thought, Jodi will tell so many more lies during Direct that when she gets on Cross with Jaun Martinez she will most likely have a big ole panic attack :what: and be escorted to the jail doctor ASAP. I remember that happening in the last trial I followed this closely, and that girl was a huge liar too.

... and packed in her suitcase, no less.

IIRC she said they had been in her briefcase for a long time. I only remember this because at the time, I was thinking that I could see it if it was in her laptop case, and I didn't remember her saying she had a 'briefcase' but I remember her saying she had her laptop.

If I had the stomach for it, I'd go back and listen... maybe later :banghead:

What Travis said: "You're a three hole wonder!"

What Jodi's hears: "You're WONDERful!"

I don't believe she pulled up out the front either.

Is it possible that in the opening statement ,it was stated that it was anal sex?I remember the "bent over the desk" story, but not what type of sex was being referred to.Anyone else remember?Tia

In the opening statement Wilmott specifically said "anal sex".

I have to go back and listen again. It was rough sex or anal sex and I seem to remember that Wilmott said that JA and TA only had oral or anal sex.
