When Jodi was reading the terse text exchange she and Travis had, she read a line of his that accused her of BECOMING LIKE HER MOTHER.

Can anyone put this in context for me? What exactly was she doing that was "like her mother?"

I'm very curious because I suspect Jodi is JUST like her mother. I think all the Wooden Spoon abuse, etc. is mom's anger -- and Jodi is mirroring the sometimes explosive, unrelenting behavior she learned from her mom.

She looks so much like her mom. Her mom also wears the same, deadpan inappropriate Mona Lisa smirk.

So Travis had picked up on this and fired it at her in the text message. But what exactly had she done that he was connecting it to?

I actually think there are times that she has gone out of her way to say she liked it ... even when Nurmi was looking for a different answer lol Or when she says, I was game for most of it.

No. I think its all part of the script. Battered Woman Syndrome...She goes out of her way to say that she liked/put up with certain things. She never once has said that she enjoyed anything.

I just don't get how she thinks role playing, dressing as a young girl, wearing spidey shorts or anal sex is abuse. She willingly did all of this. We know because she provided us a tape to prove it. And I bet the jury has all engaged in some kind of role playing or had fantasies of doing so. She is really messing up trying to equate a fantasy with reality. Many women have rape fantasies but they darn sure don't ever want to be raped. If it isn't harming anyone and is by 2 consenting adults...nobody really cares.

On HLN tonight, they had a clip of Jodi testifying about the photo CDs. In court she stated that she had kept them in her briefcase because she had been intending to give these to Travis for some time.

Why did Jodi have a briefcase? She only pretended to work at that time. Her income from PPL was almost nonexistent many months. Pffffft!
If she had a briefcase, it was to store her sex toys and KY jelly.

Exactly! IT goes right along with her aping Jennifer Wilmott as if she is a professional part of her own defense team. It's DELUSIONAL JA make believe world.

ITA. She was different today. Very much less sure of herself, and stumbling noticeably with her answers. Nurmi also seemed different today. It appears to me that they are not getting along (MOO). He seemed almost annoyed with her at times, and she seemed somewhat uncooperative.

Despite the solid evidence the prosecution had against her, Casey Anthony and Baez were almost always in lockstep. These two are "off". I understand why they didn't let Nurmi resign from the case as far as they were into it, but if an attorney and his client are not "getting along" is that any basis for appeal? I've read here that the attorney has to be provably remiss in his legal representation for ineffective counsel to be a successful appeal, but IMO he's sure not doing her any favors if he don't like her.

Maybe the verified attorney's here could provide some thoughts on that?

Doesn't the defendant say whether she wants to testify or not? And her lawyer only has to put on record that they advised against it. That way regardless of what she says on the stand, it can't be used for appeal?

I also hope one of the verfied attorneys will clarify what could happen. I agree that today things were much different. He has lead her many times and somehow gotten her to say what they had gone over. I get the feeling today that she is not going along with the script so easy. She looks to be nervous wreck and in panic mode.

However, I do believe it; even in his obit it said Napolean was one of his survivors.

I don't doubt that he loved his dog and may have had a Facebook page for him. I had a Catbook one for one of my cats back in the day.

However....I find it ridiculous to believe that he had "hired" Jodi to do a "job" of taking and editing the photos for a Dogbook page. It was made to sound like she was such an expert photographer with so much work coming her way blah blah blah.

It was a lame excuse she made up to coincide with some of his texts.

She did a bit of fake crying when that text came up. Obviously she had been telling TA something awful about her mother (either being a liar or a free-loader) and TA was echoing it back.

I don't get why his marital status or sexual orientation is relevant to the trial discussion.
He is a good prosecutor.

Travis' friend Aaron Mortensen who gave Travis' eulogy is on Dr. Drew. Talking about how sad it is that THIS is the picture being painted of his friend. Also talking about how JA attended Travis' memorial and approached Aaron and talked/manipulated him.


So, so sad and very chilling.

I've heard that she approached a lot of Travis's friends and family at the memorial but I haven't heard what she said specifically. Did Aaron mention what she said to him? What did he mean by her "talked/manipulated" him. (I won't tell you where my mind went, there.)
