anyone have any wild guesses on the gun?

so far she is up to the shower bit and says "I have no gun. I have no knife."

she basically gave up the knife (her version.. which I don't buy)
1) in bedroom cause Travis used it to cut rope
2) from the house (butcher block)

but what is she going to spin about the gun? (she denies robbing her grandparents)

I have a feeling since they can't link her to a gun at all, she will say she did NOT shoot him and she has no idea who did. She will maintain she did not do that.

BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHHAHA!!!Well "isn't that Special?!??!" If she starts singing "Choppin' Broc-o-leeeeeeee" I will die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't JA say that TA got the knife to "cut the rope" from the block in the kitchen? Did I hear that right? I thought LE said that all of those were accounted for. Wouldn't they have checked all the knives for blood traces even if they had been cleaned to check for the murder weapon?
If I remember correctly, thinking back on the Scott P trial, doesn't kerosine do a good job of cleaning off dna? For that matter, wouldn't a spin through the dishwasher do the same?

jodi will never be able to explain away the bane of her existence: the forensics

there were no bloody shoe prints coming down those stairs which means she not only killed Travis upstairs but also cleaned up after herself (which hello.. requires a bit of planning dontchathink as she testified today that Travis had put her bags back in the car before this all started iirc)

(investigative report: roommate also says the dog gate was moved to block the stairs and that it was never like that)

Well according to Nurse, who remembers more than I from the defense opening, Willcott did not specify anal sex that time. Either way, JA is going off script, which is why her defense team is twitching.

Madeleine74, Jodi Is Going Rogue, kinda like another nightmare female who shall remain nameless as well as clueless.

JC talking about the notes the jurors were taking and they were taking more today than previously. Also noted how many notes JA's mom is taking, no doubt she will write a book with the blood of TA on her pen.

When Jean stated that, one thing popped into my head, her mom is going to write and mail JA the "mistruths" she's stating while on stand! Anyone else agree?

Old School!!! Wish she'd incorporate more of those scenes into her fake life!!!!

When she was stuck on the Bobby / Victor relationships, I kept replaying the Ballad of "Ricky Bobby" (Talladega Nights).

Could be a little too far fetched. He either pulled it out or landing somewhere in her attempt to get away from him, she saw it. A movie moment for sure.

it was bugging me where this was...

so I looked up the timeline and she was still in mesa

I am wondering if she is trying to say it was Marie Hall (mimi)???

(and trying to sneak in that she didn't know her..)
I think it's the opposite.

During testimony last week when she first mentioned "Mystery Marie", she said, "Marie, but not Marie Hall who goes by Mimi, another Marie". She said that Travis thought she meant Mimi Hall, too. I think when she was making up the lie of the Mysterious Generous Diner Who Told, the first name that came to her head was "Marie". Just like Jan Brady's "George...Glass" that we've referred to previously.

Just heard on one of the shows tonight something about JA being at a Buddhist Monastery and not getting cell service? Does anyone know why she was there?

  • #491
I have a feeling since they can't link her to a gun at all, she will say she did NOT shoot him and she has no idea who did. She will maintain she did not do that.

That was her defense though, she is guilty, but she was threatened or something like that. Somebody help me out, what the heck is her defense?

She probably brought a hefty bag to throw all the bloody evidence in and I'm telling ya... I just know she showered standing over Travis.

(defense opening statement^ they said vaginal)

fwiw (I don't believe one bit of it)

Is there a transcript of the state's opening statement? I looked everywhere!

I am ready for cross!!!

(puuulease let it start tomorrow!)

I don't think it will begin tomorrow. I wish!!!

BBM! There were a few moments of "Objection: asked and answered" goodness today. I'm so looking forward to cross.

That's when you are going to hear a bunch of objections. "Indignant" objections. The defense will act appalled at the "ridiculous" questions during cross. And we will know they are squirming when that happens.

Soo I haven't watched any testimony (been at school starting at 9am, and working til 11pm, booo) is it worth me staying up late tonight watching? I have full intentions of watching tomorrow though!!

Tomorrow will be the most important day. You can probably just read KMouse and Wenwe's recaps.

You know, this pedophile thing is absolutely not working. It is my understanding that pedophiles pretty much stay within one sex. Either they prefer boys OR girls. Jodi and her attorney are all over the map on this and it's just plain gross and despicable to accuse the murder victim who is not there to defend himself.

Seriously. I mean, there are some pedos who like both boys and girls but that's not typical and neither is a pedo who exhibits Travis' obvious enthusiasm for sex with grown women.

I really hope this enrages the jury.

Thanks gitana1 - that makes sense. It just seems like Nurmi is getting so much latitude. Was Baez able to dictate breaks, and how late court went? I don't remember that.

LoL, maybe the judge just gets so sick of listening to him she jumps at the suggestion .

Nurmi is not dictating breaks. He is indicating, when a break is looming, that it would be a good place for him to stop. So let's say it is 4:29 p.m. Instead of segueing into a different line of questioning, the attorney will alert the judge that "this is a good place to stop." That happens all the time and is not a favor to the attorney, really. It just helps with flow.

It would be different if Nurmi told the judge at 3:45 p.m. that it was time to stop for the day and she agreed. That hasn't happened.

I agree wholeheartedly....as does my niece who is a court reporter. Said she has never seen a judge allow some of the happening ....ie: the defense attorney constantly going back and forth from one date/event to another and back again is coming from either an inexperienced attorney or one who is trying to confuse/mislead the jury. She said most judges would let the attorney know to get his act together, and do it quickly. She said she has never seen a judge allow a defendant to write a book for each answer and lastly she said she has never seen a judge allow the defense attorney to blatantly lead the defendant and/or testify for the defendant. In my nieces' words this is a fuster cluck. She asked if this is the judges first DP trial? Does anyone know??

Well, in small cases like my family law cases, a judge may indicate, "Listen, move off this line of questioning. I don't care about this." Or they may interject stating that there is a problem with flow or whatever.

That would never happen in a murder trial, especially not in a death penalty case.

And again, the judge is not going to object on behalf of the prosecution. The only time I have seen a judge stop an attorney from leading or a witness or party from uttering hearsay is when the other side is not represented.

Yes, I think if Juan Martinez objected more often, the judge would sustain those objections. But, he hasn't so the judge has zero reason to step in.

And if Martinez is not worried, I;m not going to be too much either. He is a rock star. He seems as satisfied as a cat with a bowl full of cream.

I don't think jodi's attempts to defend against murder are working at all at this point. (But I did cross myself a few times after typing that, just in case!!!)

Well, she's got those darn ninjas. They came in, had a gun, struggled
with JA or TA and there you have JA with a 25 :what: in her possession!!

Could be a little too far fetched. He either pulled it out or landing somewhere in her attempt to get away from him, she saw it. A movie moment for sure.

but will she then say he had it, but then where did it go? will that be the "i don't know" part.. there has to be an "i don't know" in there since she has a case of the "i don't remember's" now...

  • #496
And another thing, in mid-May her computer was broken and she had to use her grandparents computer...but when she arrives at TA's she claims she brought her laptop...did poor, broke, no $$ Jodi pay for a quick repair?? Doubt it. She'd rather spend $$ on strawberry fraps and road trips...

I'm pretty sure she also told Flores her laptop was broken. Just found it interesting she claimed she brought it along.

Or maybe it's a sign like I think it was Carol Burnett use to do, (don't really remember her show) but I think it meant to change the subject.
I never noticed her playing with her ears. Heads up on what part of the testimony she did this?

If I remember correctly, thinking back on the Scott P trial, doesn't kerosine do a good job of cleaning off dna? For that matter, wouldn't a spin through the dishwasher do the same?

They would have tested if any chemicals were used to clean the area.

Anyone catch how freaked out and nervous JA was after those texts were read calling her a psycho & sociopath??? She looked VERY uncomfortable and extremely nervous.

Good on that.

Fry baby fry!!!

My all time favorite Travis cut-down was actually on the phone call tape the other day. I cant remember the exact words Travis used, but somehow he slipped up when trying to praise her sexiness and called her some kind of great "slutiness" or something like that. I had to listen to it twice because I was ROFLMAO. :)
