WOW! i just finished listening to Part 3, of todays trial, I can not believe how many times JA said "I don't recall" OHHHH I'm getting worried again. I really hope this jury isn't believing her :/

Hopefully (unless their brains are dead from her and Nurmi's prattling for 7 days and counting), they will remember the mind-numbing details she could remember about just about everything else. That combined with her reptilian stare and flashes of rage should tell them that she is full of s--- when saying she does not recall. moo

This comment she made really freaked me out because they had split up and were moving on with their lives but she still obviously felt entitled to tell him where he could go? Doesn't make an iota of sense to me.

I think the fact that she's calling the shots goes against her "controlling abuse" claim and the fact that whenever she asked him to stop, he did. Assuming it ever took place, of course.

but will she then say he had it, but then where did it go? will that be the "i don't know" part.. there has to be an "i don't know" in there since she has a case of the "i don't remember's" now...

In her confused and frightened PTS state, she cleaned up. She was afraid that no one would believe her and cleaned and left.

Battered woman syndrome.

This is what the defence has been building.

I never noticed her playing with her ears. Heads up on what part of the testimony she did this?

Can't help you out there PP I was only listening to cnn and not watching her face. Her voice makes me cringe enough.

anyone have any wild guesses on the gun?

so far she is up to the shower bit and says "I have no gun. I have no knife."

she basically gave up the knife (her version.. which I don't buy)
1) in bedroom cause Travis used it to cut rope
2) from the house (butcher block)

but what is she going to spin about the gun? (she denies robbing her grandparents)

Curious also what she will say, however, I can't imagine anything halfway believable. Possibly if it had been another caliber than .25, but too coincidental it was the same as her grandfather's.

Why does Jodi have her hands over her ears during part of her testimony?

I think she's imploding. Her little web of lies is starting to bite her in the a@@ and she knows it. She's lost herself in all her stories, she's getting to the critical part which will likely decide her fate, and she knows she's doing poorly. The body language she displayed today shows true fear to me.

Unless the jury are a bunch of brain dead morons (and I don't think that in the least), her hours and hours of "sextipades" don't mean two pinches of coon chit to them. What they want to hear is what made her SO afraid she had to murder him in such a brutal and cruel fashion. THAT is what they're waiting for, and she knows it. So does her attorney. Their CIC is drawing to a close, and they both know that Juan is waiting in the wings to rip her to shreds. That would most likely cost me sleep too. JMHO. :panic:

this is what hasn't been covered in the DOS yet (aside from LaViolette):

And then the two went upstairs to the bedroom, back up to get her stuff, but Travis, his temper had now subsided, and he was back into this sweet talking mode, he was sweet talking her to stay for a little bit longer because he had – in preparation for his Cancun trip that he was going to be leaving on shortly, he had been working out, and he had been dieting and so he really wanted to have pictures taken of him, tasteful pictures, to show his progress on what he’s done with his dieting and working out, and he wanted Jodi the photographer to take those pictures of him. And so, she did.

They went upstairs and he went into the shower, and Jodi began snapping pictures of him, tasteful pictures, waste up pictures for Travis. She was snapping picture after picture after picture, and you can see that this one was taken at – these pictures are ultimately found and time stamped, so you’ll see that this picture was taken at 5:29 in the afternoon. The next picture is the last picture of Travis taken in the shower, and you can see that in this picture, you can’t see so much if he’s sitting or standing, but you can see that his shoulders are out, and in the next picture you can see that his shoulders are out sitting on his knees. There’s a difference in a little over a minute between the two pictures. This is the last picture of Travis taken in the shower during their photo session, because the next picture is taken when Jodi accidentally dropped Travis’ camera. You can see that it’s not an intentional picture because 1. It’s blurry, and 2. It’s of the ceiling facing up.

Jodi accidentally dropped Travis’ camera, and as that camera was falling, that was enough for Travis, because he lunged at Jodi in anger, knocking her to the ground in the bathroom where there was a struggle. Jodi’s life was in danger. In just under a minute, in just a minute we go from this picture we go to the next picture, where it’s Travis’ body – he’s clearly injured already. In a minute. Now that very brief moment of time – a minute – is not the result of premeditation. It is not the result of a planned-out attack.

(Objection, argument. Sustained)

The evidence will show that it is not the result ..

(Objection, argument. Counsel approach)

It is just one minute. Just one minute from the time you see the camera falling and you see the picture of Travis with blood. One minute. In that one minute, had Jodi not been forced to defend herself, none of us would be here. In that one minute, had Jodi not chosen to defend herself, she would not be here. Thank you.

Or maybe it's a sign like I think it was Carol Burnett use to do, (don't really remember her show) but I think it meant to change the subject.

Awwww, yeah, Carol used to tug her earlobe as an "I love you" to her grandma who helped raise her. :heartbeat:

I just love that and almost everything else about Carol Burnett.

Sorry for the OT. :blushing:

Another discrepancy from today (maybe it's been mentioned I am way behind reading posts) Why would she have packed those picture Cd's for Travis in the rental car? She testified she had not planned to visit him.

Who shares photos via CD? Even in 2008? The professional photographers I work with have been using sites like zenfolio and even Flickr for at least a decade.

Just heard on one of the shows tonight something about JA being at a Buddhist Monastery and not getting cell service? Does anyone know why she was there?

I heard that also. Not sure why she was there, however it was also said on the show that the monastery did get cell service.

:D

He should try that - I say try anything and everything that will get her to spill her water and get that tazer to shock her so hard she shakes like a chihuahua FOR REAL :)

but will she then say he had it, but then where did it go? will that be the "i don't know" part.. there has to be an "i don't know" in there since she has a case of the "i don't remember's" now...

Well she has lied so much already she might as well say Casey Anthony took it.

what was the comment she made today about not getting sleep last night? does anyone remember....the judge said to strike that comment....

I have a feeling since they can't link her to a gun at all, she will say she did NOT shoot him and she has no idea who did. She will maintain she did not do that.

It wouldn't surprise me. Maybe she'll revive the ninja story while she's on the stand. Or maybe she'll blame Napoleon.

IMO She and her lawyers do not understand that sometimes it's much more beneficial to cut some of your losses. It's not believable to blame Travis for everything like they've chosen to do. From the moment they met, HE approached her and pursued her and made her break up with her boyfriend because she was a pious monogomous sweet innocent girl. It's all too much. I understand the strategy but they've screwed themselves with the distortion of reality.

Sorry, that was a bit of a tangent not really responding to your post!

I do too. She can't make him out to be a complete monster. She has to be weak and compliant for her ruse to work! Nurmi has been driving this drivel back and forth for three weeks now. He would stop if she asked but when he did some other "disgusting" thing again, she accepted it because she was so low in self-esteem and lost (with the overwhelming abuse) that she allowed it to happen again.

That's why I made the point that despite portraying herself as meek and mild and abused, she still felt entitled to tell him/threaten him as to where he could spend the night?

Pssaw. This woman is seriously sick imo.

My son does some modeling ... The photographer that does his head shots always gives me and his agent the CDs ... Can get comp cards printed cheaper elsewhere.

No thanks because I was ready to google Carol Burnett and tugging ears. So you saved me a load of research. So strike that it does not mean change the subject.

I work in a job that monitors internet so the way I follow this trial is by reading all of your posts when I come home at night. Tonight is the first time I put Nancy Grace on and the killer's voice is just turning my stomach. You all deserve kudos for watching and listening to her lies all the time.

So tonight I am praying for peace and strength for all those who love and miss Travis. What the killer and her defense team continue to do to the memory of their loved one is just disgusting. I am hoping for good rest for Juan and looking forward to his dismantling of the killer's lies. I am praying for a jury who has no patience for lies and one who has just listened and watched the trial with their common sense intact. This killer should never see the light of day.

Where I always end up in these cases is the simple truth that what we offer in our court system is only some small measure of justice. Family and friends must still carry on without the one they love. No judge, no jury can ever make their lives whole again. It is heartbreaking. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you who have had a family member stolen from you by evil.
