If the rope existed, would not a pair of scissors from the office been more handy for cutting it than a knife from the kitchen?

She said he got knife from knife block. I have a nice one that has kitchen scissors in it. Even if he has a less expensive Knife Block, my dd bought one last week very big discount place, and it even has kitchen shears in it. The knife out of TA knife block didn't make sense to me.

I saw one of TA friends on HLN tonight who is a gun enthusiast and spent a week with TA right before the murder. Said IF TA had recently bought a gun, they would have talked about it and he was certain he would never buy a .25

ALSO, I bet anyone a million dollars that even though she seemingly remembers every little detail of what she has told so far, tomorrow when the information of the attack actually comes out there will be a lot of "everything is really foggy from that time" and "there are a lot of periods I don't really remember".

I hope the jury doesn't buy this load of crap!!

I've been here years and have never found that multi quote button. Pray tell where on earth is it?

I've been here I think since 2005 and still haven't figured it out! Lol

Here's what I did:
1) went to pinkp's post and pressed the multiquote button - the one to the right of the quote button
2) pressed quote in Linda's post - it opened a box with both quotes in it.
3) typed this message

lil buddy is this correct?

What's the In Session horrible situation? That they don't cover the whole day?

They are basically dissolving as we've known it. No more live trials. Beth and Jean C laid off. Just two hours per day of taped trials with Vinnie. Starting March 4 I think. And this trial will still be going on....probably.

I love you guys! All of you!

One final thought. It's so different being in the courtroom watching as at home I can emote, pause the DVR, walk out of the room, make faces etc. But in that courtroom you have to just sit there and take it.

Again it's astounding what that family sits there and is enduring these days. Quietly and with stone faces as required. It's so stressful honestly. I'm sure they are sort of "used to it" in a way unlike me but it's a very very intense situation that's been going on with this evil twisted murderer lying about their beloved Travis for weeks now....it's just beyond anything anyone should have to endure.

This alone among many other things leads me to wish for the ultimate penalty for this evil murdering *whatever she is*.

Please keep sending positive energy to this family. It is beyond anything I even experienced myself in court. And those aiding and abetting Arias...yeah well you have your own conscience to go to bed with at night...good luck with that.

Why is it that JA's family gets away with laughing in the court room.

His red tie selection today was beyond belief.

jmo

I was correct on the JA wearing white shirt.. can't decide for tomorrow; unless JA has another white shirt, maybe pink? or baby blue? very well could be black IF we don't have another "let's go back" moment since JA didn't feather too well today.. pray Not, get on with it to spare Travis' family more grief FFS!!

Okay - pretend for a sec 'it was Travis' '. She still planned the interstate trip, went into stealth-mode in AZ, shot him with the gun... then thought it would be a great idea to then TAKE the gun with her - now a murder weapon?

Per the rash of burglaries, I believe that was in Yreka, not Mesa, per the Officer from Yreka who testified and found the burglary suspicious - even with the uptick in such crimes. Why would Travis need a firearm for an increase in crime hundreds of miles away?

I don't see how claiming it is Travis' is credible or helps her in any way, imv.

plus if there was alot of crime in the neighborhood why have the door unlocked all the time

I was so glad to have my journal as there were many times I could feel this feeling rising in me that wanted to just scream, literally. Listening to this sociopath being aided and abetted by her lumbering , boring, arm twirling attorney painting HER in to a victim is absolutely maddening.

As they got closer to her being in Travis' house and describing things, T's Aunt Heather who was 2 seats from me started crying fairly loudly. She just burst in to tears. Frankly so did I hearing her. It was very very sad...no matter how much this crazy b**** is lying, some of this was descriiptive of his last hours on earth. It was devastating to be near that.

Oh, Aunt Heather just made me leap up in bed, mad as hell, and in tears. Poor woman! That poor family!
OK - My DH snoring was disrupted when I jolted, but is back to a Mammoth pace, and poor little sick daughter who was snuggling next to me has gotten re-situated.
Almost everything you describe about JA seeps through the live stream, and the "Von Trap" stance and "Please love me" stare to each juror makes me seriously want to throw up. Seeing her do that (the "please love me" gaze) feels like I am looking at something so upsetting that I know logically I should not look at, but am doing so out of morbid curiosity. I feel infected by it.
I am interested in her change of demeanor when the juror's are gone, and she is with her team (ewww).
But, away from that...
For now my thoughts are with the family… Aunt Heather.

Also of note: I did see 2 actual tears fall today from Jodi's right eye. LMAO

Not that it matters since she has no conscience anyway. ;)

A lot of murders are committed by drunk/high people.
I'll try to find stats.

ETA: good point - who knows the truth with these psychos?

IMO they're control freaks, their need to control and manipulate is something they take great pride in. Getting drunk or high and willingly giving up any control would never happen.

Do you know why they made that decision?

I didn't see it at all. I was in the same row all the way on the other side. I didn't look at that side at all. I find them generally inappropriate though.

Sorry I posted this twice.

Hmmmmm... me thinks 80,000 emails/text over a 5 month affair...

Let's see doing the math...16,000 messages per month or 533 messages a day

WOW...As singer Paul Simon sang, "50 Ways To Leave Your Lover"...Just get on the bus Gus, Make a new plan Stan, Don't be coy Roy...Just set yourself free

I know… For some reason I think they are including instant messaging into that equation??? and I assume they are using the whole 2 year time frame that they knew each-other. Hmmmm...

Cutting the rope and stretching it out across the room(s) is just absurd. Doesn't make sense.
(Respectfully snipped for focus on this one issue) :)

IT,T,TA... :) Travis appeared to be a pretty meticulous guy... liked average/nice things and cared for his home and belongings.

- He would not use a knife to cut cord on his bathroom tile floor. I have the exact same tile (same size, color, everything. You don't do that. It can scratch.

- He wouldn't do that on his double-sink counter. Have one of those too, and he wouldn't want to scratch that either... plus there is less flat surface area than you think, so it would be hard to get a cord on the very edge, just so and then cut into you sink top with a knife...

Not what is known of his character, living habits, friends descriptions of him. Not believable.

If he DID cut any cord, He'd do it on a surface like a cutting board. Not on anything that would get scratched potentially. Just dumb.

Why would JA take the so-called ropes with her, for that matter?
All that was found by LE was what looked like about 4 inches of something, and a decorative loop (that may have held some lengths of cord together) on one of the stairs...

I don't think the "ropes" (they're decorative, tasseled, smooth, shiny cord made up of tons of wispy threads. They are not utilitarian - like rope). This is not rope. It might be used for sex play - who knows (and who cares?). Even sex experts don't call that deviant for consenting adults... either way, it's not relevant to the murder, imv.

I saw the one sister (the one that looks like Travis) seemingly rolling her eyes a couple times today. I obviously understand why!! I can't imagine how they sit there and listen to that BS. I also noticed they were writing alot, I kind of wondered about that.

Yes, Tanisha and Samantha and Aunt Heather were all taking notes this afternoon. More than I've seen before. Not sure why but it does give you something to place your energy in to when you feel like you're gonna explode.

Ratings would be my guess

And yet, you'd think ratings would be high for this trial. We had over 500 members and guests on this forum alone today!

I don't believe they feel normal human emotions.

One thing I did love though is that the word "sociopath" being descriptive of Jodi came in today...through Travis. Also the word "evil". I don't think that was lost on the jury.

I can't believe that text came through the defense!? There were three things that stood out to me today..

1) That text! It told us that maybe he wasn't as naive to who she is as we thought. Although, it does make you wonder about their communication after that. I truly believe it was that day / those texts that led her to snap and decide to kill him. Do we know if there are any other texts between them after that? IIRC we know she called him multiple times without him answering a few days prior to the murder. I think I only remember seeing one call listed that was longer than a minute or so.

2)
"He's on the tape fantasizing about anally raping a 12-year-old"

^^ Just heard Jodi say this!!! Her sociopathy is really seeping out, here in the home stretch. That's pretty freaking bold, considering the jury heard the tape and heard exactly what he did and didn't say.

I agree that this was a major stretch!! We ALL heard that tape and at no time did he say he was fantasizing about anally raping a 12 year old. That was ridiculous! :furious:

3) When Nurmi asked her about if she liked something or wanted to do something and she said... "It wasn't my favorite part of the day." :what: Who would make a comment about having a favorite part of THAT day? She is SICK!!!! I hope that comment came across as horrible to the jury as it did to me! :furious:

I thought we were talking psychopaths?

Only a small number of psychopaths are murderers.

Drugs/alcohol lower inhibitions. Presumably, if you have some hidden desire to
murder, regardless of whether you are a psychopath, drugs/alcohol could help you to fulfill this desire.

Apparently Dahmer drank a lot. His high school peers considered him an alcoholic. He was discharged from the army for alcoholism. It was reported that he showed up to work stinking of booze.
