One final thought. It's so different being in the courtroom watching as at home I can emote, pause the DVR, walk out of the room, make faces etc. But in that courtroom you have to just sit there and take it.

Again it's astounding what that family sits there and is enduring these days. Quietly and with stone faces as required. It's so stressful honestly. I'm sure they are sort of "used to it" in a way unlike me but it's a very very intense situation that's been going on with this evil twisted murderer lying about their beloved Travis for weeks now....it's just beyond anything anyone should have to endure.

This alone among many other things leads me to wish for the ultimate penalty for this evil murdering *whatever she is*.

Please keep sending positive energy to this family. It is beyond anything I even experienced myself in court. And those aiding and abetting Arias...yeah well you have your own conscience to go to bed with at night...good luck with that.

Tonight, NG asked a guest,

"The court watchers were asked to all shift sides of the courtroom today and told to sit behind Jodi Arias` family. Why, and what was that like?"

Do you know what NG was talking about?

(Respectfully snipped for focus on this one issue) :)

Travis appeared to be a pretty meticulous guy... liked average/nice things and cared for his home and belongings.

- He would not use a knife to cut cord on his bathroom tile floor. I have the exact same tile (same size, color, everything. You don't do that. It can scratch.

- He wouldn't do that on his double-sink counter. Have one of those too, and he wouldn't want to scratch that either... plus there is less flat surface area than you think, so it would be hard to get a cord on the very edge, just so and then cut into you sink top with a knife...

Not what is known of his character, living habits, friends descriptions of him. Not believable.

If he DID cut any cord, He'd do it on a surface like a cutting board. Not on anything that would get scratched potentially. Just dumb.

Why would JA take the so-called ropes with her, for that matter?
All that was found by LE was what looked like about 4 inches of something, and a decorative loop (that may have held some lengths of cord together) on one of the stairs...

I don't think the "ropes" (they're decorative, tasseled, smooth, shiny cord made up of tons of wispy threads. They are not utilitarian - like rope). This is not rope. It might be used for sex play - who knows (and who cares?). Even sex experts don't call that deviant for consenting adults... either way, it's not relevant to the murder, imv.

Juan Martinez is going to rip that ridiculous "rope theory" BS to shreds. It's all fabricated. After the fact. It will be one of many things he uses to school these jurors on the hows and whys Jodi Arias' word (along with her creepy attorneys) cannot be relied upon.

And once that happens, she's a goner...all the way gone.

I know… For some reason I think they are including instant messaging into that equation??? and I assume they are using the whole 2 year time frame that they knew each-other. Hmmmm...

Yes because Gchat (she was using Gmail) threads chats along with emails.

I think she has finally realised that she is done. I am sure her DT would have told her to connect with the jury, since they are not looking at her she knows full well she has not reached them. I'm predicting some kind of melodrama next week - she will do something to look like a victim, I am not sure what, I can just see an illness or some kind of self harming happening.

Delay, delay, deny, deny.

I think Travis asked her to leave and left her alone. I don't believe the luggage went in and out of the house. She mentions the kitchen a few times, there is a reason for that. Something happened there. They had an uncomfortable chat in there or something happened. I'm trying to read things she says that are unnecessary .. that neither help or harm her case. That's where she slips actual truths in I believe. I think it's possible she got the knife from the kitchen but not from the knife block as that would have been missed. I think this was luck on her part if correct.

She also mentions going to the office more than necessary. She absolutely went through his computer. He absolutely realised this. I think that he caught her out doing something that made her kick herself for being caught .. I think that's what she meant when she said that she had had a good visit, but it went bad and it was her fault. Basically the whole thing went pear shaped in a major way.

I think she went there with an either or scenario, I believe she wanted to turn him around and it didn't work. I do however believe she went there with murdering him as one of the possibilities for what would happen.

I thought it wasn't just that no knives were missing from Travis home, but also that the knives didn't match up to his wounds.

Anybody?

Am I misremembering?

I think the ME said he could not make any determination like that about the knife -- all he could say was that it was sharp and had at least 5-6 inch blade

Is it possible that the rope theory was an improvisation upon a loose tassel from tassels seen previously in the bedroom?

That was incorrect. There was some kind of deal going on to make more room for media but it wasn't enforced. Travis' friends were still sitting behind the family. That may shift though once the cross starts and more media want in there.

Just heard on one of the shows tonight something about JA being at a Buddhist Monastery and not getting cell service? Does anyone know why she was there?

She claimed she and her sister were at this Buddist Monastery when the Police were at grandma's house investigating theft. She said they didn't have cell service so didn't know. I cant remember if she said they came home next day but doesn't matter...was a lie as the police report states she came to grannys house while police were there investigating.

It is more like "we found an errant tassel on the stair so how can we use it?" strategy. And when I say use it I mean explain why there could be a knife within seconds grabbing distance to support the fairytale they are making up to explain this premeditated homicide. They are working backward from the evidence and crafting a stupid fiction full of holes.

They are basically dissolving as we've known it. No more live trials. Beth and Jean C laid off. Just two hours per day of taped trials with Vinnie. Starting March 4 I think. And this trial will still be going on....probably.

Oh, that is horrible. So they won't be doing Zimmerman live then?

At least there will be the youtubers uploading it, which I've been relying on for the afternoons.

Beth and Joey are my favorites.

I really think she ad-libbed here (and thought she was downright cute doing it). Not the answer Nurmi expected-and I suspect one of many times she's gone off-script. She's even toying with her lawyer...imo

ITA! And I think she's been 'toying' with him for days! While he has so obviously been trying to steer & lead her testimony, I think it's her story to tell & she's been trying to lead him in what she needs him to ask her! Sooooo many times he's asked her a question expecting her to follow the lead, & instead she'll give answers like, "Well no, not exactly in that moment", leaving him groping for a question suitable for the context she's looking for to fit into her next web of lies! Make no mistake, Nurmi is a slimeball, imo, but Jodi is running this show! She is seriously the most conniving, manipulative, creepy, stalker, devious human being! It absolutely is terrifying to me that these kind of people actually live in our midst! She scares the h*ll outta me!!:rocker:

If I remember correctly, thinking back on the Scott P trial, doesn't kerosine do a good job of cleaning off dna? For that matter, wouldn't a spin through the dishwasher do the same?

------------
Hi Pink, I remember. Was it kerosine or bleach? I know he threw bleach on the tarp in the garage and they could get nothing..:seeya:

That's a very interesting decision on the part of CNN or the parent company. Especially with another very high profile case coming up (George Zimmerman).

But $$ drives these decisions, so the ad revenue just must not be there to keep it going.

I'm hopeful Beth K. and Jean C. will be picked up as legal commentators elsewhere. I'll miss BK's "no nonsense, no histrionics" approach.

I'm truly amazed at the strength their family and the group of friends has shown throughout the trial and I know they've been dealing with this for almost five years.

When I say I don't know how they do it, I mean that literally. I could not do what his loved ones do day in and day out. I know they aren't allowed to show emotions in court and they are staying strong for Travis in that courtroom, but I don't think just anyone is capable of such control and dignity in the face of this ugliness. Whether it's their family, faith, support system they continue to show so much character and courage. I would have had multiple breakdowns and would have missed several days of the trial. They don't miss a beat. They could not represent their brother, nephew, and friend any better than they're doing now.

There could not be a greater contrast between these good people and this monster + those who allow her to spread her wickedness like the disease that she is.

1) That text! It told us that maybe he wasn't as naive to who she is as we thought. Although, it does make you wonder about their communication after that. I truly believe it was that day / those texts that led her to snap and decide to kill him.

I agree. She stole the gun two days later.

How do I insert an Excel spreadsheet into a post?

Is there a how-to somewhere on WS?
Or, can someone give a brief rundown? TIA

You can try going "advanced" and under "managing files" linking the file that way. If you try to just paste it in, all the formatting is deleted.

Maybe she will try to say Travis shot himself. He has been blamed for every thing else.

wouldn't put it past her to then claim she thought you used a 'knife' for CPR recusitaton and had to slash his throat for a tracheotomy. No telling what tales she will spin tomorrow

Thank you, that's what I meant. I was curious if anyone had a shot of them or remembered where they believed they saw the tassels. If so, it's a very poor path they're taking that Travis could magically have bought identical tassel rope...
