One thing I did love though is that the word "sociopath" being descriptive of Jodi came in today...through Travis. Also the word "evil". I don't think that was lost on the jury.

I was SO EXCITED about Jodi reading in her testimony, Travis' words, calling her a SOCIOPATH (and EVIL as you pointed out)!! It gave me hope that any juror that does not know what a sociopath is will take note and figure it out, and TA-DA!! … The picture will come into focus.

Today we heard that Travis called Jodi a sociopath. I think the jury was supposed to gasp and think that Travis was a terrible person with his name calling. She nearly cut off his head a couple of weeks later ... how could the jury possibly think that he was simply name calling. What is the defense thinking! ... that they can weave web of nonsense and then expect the jury to believe that Travis was name calling when he called a spade a spade?

Katie I hope I catch you before you go tonight. I'm sure you are exhausted but I just want you to know how much it means that you take the time to come back here and give us the insight we really need. You don't have to but you do, it's greatly appreciated.

Getting to only see what they put up can be difficult. Especially when most of that time is sucked up Nurmi and his slow slow, mind numbing, nerve grinding ways. I go a little crazy wondering if his tactics have worked and we lost the Jury. Or more importantly how in the world his family is holding up. You are giving us relief with the knowledge you bring. Just the comment about the Jury not looking at Jodi and her smiling to no one but thin air is really great insight.

I know you are not there representing Webslueths but please know Websleuths appreciates the extra time and effort you are putting into coming here. And, it's greatly appreciated to know what the family needs. Even if it's just a little extra prayer for the day or a lot.

You help me (I'm sure others) not feel so helpless and out of the loop.

So did Jodi give us an example of the new math these days. She said she rented the car because she was having trouble keeping up on the maintenance, oil changes, bad on gas, etc. of her car but she decides to buy the BMW from Travis $4,500/$6,000 (not sure what she agreed to pay) and making payments but she has money to rent a vehicle. Wouldn't it have made sense to pay what she owed on her car and just drive it. She planned to go to Utah but made plans for a side trip to Pasadena hundreds of miles from her destination just to take pictures of a baby whose mother never even confirmed she'd be home to meet Jodi. She needs money, can't pay her bills, has to borrow the money, but decides to go way out of her way taking a vacation she could not afford because she wasn't get paid for it. I hope the man who claims she borrowed money from in Pasadena has a receipt.

Can't wait to hear what happened to the gun that she didn't bring with her. I can see why she did not want to admit carrying a concealed weapon that was reported stolen over state lines with no legal permit. That's a hole Juan can drive that Mack truck through. Next the knife? She got it from the butcher block? Yet all those knives were tested, Flores testified to that. If Jodi washed it in the sink it would have tested positive for blood. Did she put it in the dishwasher? Did she wait until the dishwasher was done before putting it back in the block???? It just does not make sense. In a self defense case you would not think to do all of that. Only someone who had thought things out previously would know to do all these things. People who are upset just can't think logically. jmo

It is more like "we found an errant tassel on the stair so how can we use it?" strategy. And when I say use it I mean explain why there could be a knife within seconds grabbing distance to support the fairytale they are making up to explain this premeditated homicide. They are working backward from the evidence and crafting a stupid fiction full of holes.

I always wonder if the attorneys are in on the stories or if it's all Jodi. Hard to say.

That's a very interesting decision on the part of CNN or the parent company. Especially with another very high profile case coming up (George Zimmerman).

But $$ drives these decisions, so the ad revenue just must not be there to keep it going.

I'm hopeful Beth K. and Jean C. will be picked up as legal commentators elsewhere. I'll miss BK's "no nonsense, no histrionics" approach.

IS keeps showing flashes of upcoming trials. I know Florida vs. Zimmerman is one they are going to cover but I will not watch taped stuff, no matter how much I love Vinnie. I can only hope that HLN will pick up the ball and that Beth and even Jean can get on with HLN or something....IS really really isn't thinking straight here.

Your garden variety sociopath...the ones that mirror emotions because they're clueless as to how to actually "feel", will often do many things in excess out of boredom and for the thrill.

I love that Travis is a speaking / texting witness in this trial, I love what he has said about her in his texts. It only matters here who she was to HIM. It doesn't matter if anyone else on the planet thought she was OK or a crazy stalker, what matters is what Travis thought from his own experience. To HIM she was a sociopathic stalker. That is all that matters.

They are basically dissolving as we've known it. No more live trials. Beth and Jean C laid off. Just two hours per day of taped trials with Vinnie. Starting March 4 I think. And this trial will still be going on....probably.
