One final thought. It's so different being in the courtroom watching as at home I can emote, pause the DVR, walk out of the room, make faces etc. But in that courtroom you have to just sit there and take it.

Again it's astounding what that family sits there and is enduring these days. Quietly and with stone faces as required. It's so stressful honestly. I'm sure they are sort of "used to it" in a way unlike me but it's a very very intense situation that's been going on with this evil twisted murderer lying about their beloved Travis for weeks now....it's just beyond anything anyone should have to endure.

This alone among many other things leads me to wish for the ultimate penalty for this evil murdering *whatever she is*.

Please keep sending positive energy to this family. It is beyond anything I even experienced myself in court. And those aiding and abetting Arias...yeah well you have your own conscience to go to bed with at night...good luck with that.

I have sat in courtrooms more times than I care to count. I have seen trials something like this but in divorce court, never criminal. To bash a good person because he was manipulated by what I find to be a very selfish, immature, jealous, mentally ill she devil. Does the family know that we are all on their side and are pulling for the ultimate price? The death penalty.

The only thing I remember about his plans for that evening involved a business conference call that was supposed to happen in the early evening.

I bet he was telling her that he needed to prepare for his business call and she needed to hit the road.

My thoughts exactly... most people have jobs & or responsibilities to prepare for the next day (like TA), but obviously UNLIKE JA!

I love that Travis is a speaking / texting witness in this trial, I love what he has said about her in his texts. It only matters here who she was to HIM. It doesn't matter if anyone else on the planet thought she was OK or a crazy stalker, what matters is what Travis thought from his own experience. To HIM she was a sociopathic stalker. That is all that matters.

Yet, he still let her stay at the house that day. Sadly, he was also making unhealthy choices for himself.

She has a moment

55:16 when Nurmi says '....did that then relieve you to some degree thinking that .. this was over?' she looks up and goes 'WHAT was over?' I think she has an issue even today about anyone knowing that Travis told her it was OVER.

Wow, what a day of testimony. Katiecoo I am sure you are of great comfort to his family..thanks from those of us far away who are supporting his family that cannot attend.

I am looking forward to Juan getting his turn at questioning her ... I wonder if her speech patterns will stay flat or she will show any of the "personality" she had on the phone call (ugh) the defense case is taking years it seems.

I so hope HLN will do what it is doing now with the Arias trial....which is broadcasting it live. If not yeah....time to find some live feeds.

It's not even really live now; the testimony is hours late at best. (Aren't you in Tucson, too?)

this Katie wick lady is so annoying

Not sticking up for them because there are times they have laughed inappropriately. I think they may have been amused today because they were late and wouldn't you know the judge was there on time and court started on time today. You have to admit that is kind of funny. The one day they are late and there was no fooling around this morning as the judge went right into it. jmo

I just don't find any excuse for it since this is a murder trial and the victims family is sitting right across from them. Plus the fact I have seen them do it several times before today.

But I do think your a sweet person for giving them the benefit of the doubt.

bbm Not that the internet takes the place of live TV but the Z trial will be broadcast all over the internet through live feeds. Orlando stations for sure. HLN will cover it as well and perhaps CNN will have a live feed of the trial too. I'll be hiding during that trial.

It sure is a far better option in this case - and no commercials (testimony doesn't stop when broadcasters need to sell hair removal products, cars and other tv shows... :).

I had some major feelings of anger today, enraged with her lies and disgusting treatment of Travis' family. This evening I have become overwelmed with sadness, for his family and friends and the horror they have been put through. Really sad that this trial has come to this and I just hope the family gets justice and some kind of peace in the end...

Good night gang, talk to you tomorrow. :(

So did Jodi give us an example of the new math these days. She said she rented the car because she was having trouble keeping up on the maintenance, oil changes, bad on gas, etc. of her car but she decides to buy the BMW from Travis $4,500/$6,000 (not sure what she agreed to pay) and making payments but she has money to rent a vehicle. Wouldn't it have made sense to pay what she owed on her car and just drive it. She planned to go to Utah but made plans for a side trip to Pasadena hundreds of miles from her destination just to take pictures of a baby whose mother never even confirmed she'd be home to meet Jodi. She needs money, can't pay her bills, has to borrow the money, but decides to go way out of her way taking a vacation she could not afford because she wasn't get paid for it. I hope the man who claims she borrowed money from in Pasadena has a receipt.

Does that make sense to anyone????? jmo

Can't wait to hear what happened to the gun that she didn't bring with her. I can see why she did not want to admit carrying a concealed weapon that was reported stolen over state lines with no legal permit. That's a hole Juan can drive that Mack truck through. Next the knife? She got it from the butcher block? Yet all those knives were tested, Flores testified to that. If Jodi washed it in the sink it would have tested positive for blood. Did she put it in the dishwasher? Did she wait until the dishwasher was done before putting it back in the block???? It just does not make sense. In a self defense case you would not think to do all of that. Only someone who had thought things out previously would know to do all these things. People who are upset just can't think logically. jmo
Don't forget she also gave an excuse that she had wanted to scratch another place off of her 1,000 places to see, by visiting Coronado Island in Southern CA, yet for some reason did not actually make it there.

(Respectfully snipped for focus on this one issue) :)

IT,T,TA... :) Travis appeared to be a pretty meticulous guy... liked average/nice things and cared for his home and belongings.

- He would not use a knife to cut cord on his bathroom tile floor. I have the exact same tile (same size, color, everything. You don't do that. It can scratch.

- He wouldn't do that on his double-sink counter. Have one of those too, and he wouldn't want to scratch that either... plus there is less flat surface area than you think, so it would be hard to get a cord on the very edge, just so and then cut into you sink top with a knife...

Not what is known of his character, living habits, friends descriptions of him. Not believable.

If he DID cut any cord, He'd do it on a surface like a cutting board. Not on anything that would get scratched potentially. Just dumb.

Why would JA take the so-called ropes with her, for that matter?
All that was found by LE was what looked like about 4 inches of something, and a decorative loop (that may have held some lengths of cord together) on one of the stairs...

I don't think the "ropes" (they're decorative, tasseled, smooth, shiny cord made up of tons of wispy threads. They are not utilitarian - like rope). This is not rope. It might be used for sex play - who knows (and who cares?). Even sex experts don't call that deviant for consenting adults... either way, it's not relevant to the murder, imv.

You loop the rope and cut the loop in the air.

I just can't believe the things the defense came up with today.

Just a few messages picked out of thousands. One here, a few there. Even more, the fact that Travis spoke in his own words bout her crazy, drama, games and even the fact that she is a psychopath. WOW :what: Hello defense? Are you awake?

Let's just forget the over 4 years he had to prepare for this case. He had 5 extra days in the middle of his presentation to to do better and THIS is the strategy?

It seems like it's all off the cuff. Just pacing the room thinking of what to say instead of doing any work. Martinez comes out with diagrams, timelines and bing bam boom... it's done and crystal clear. This Defense team just boggles my mind.:waitasec:

Yeah, but I can't watch live. I rely on dvr of In Session and now the youtube uploads.

I'll be hiding during that trial.

I know what you mean, I'm dreading all the related commentary to come, but I'm going to watch anyway.

I think she arrived unannounced and uninvited. Imagine his horror when she is standing behind him watching him at 4 in the morning.

It appears Court TV morphed into TruTV and as of March 4 it will be 24 Hours Of Car Repo's. What a waste for the public in general and the anchors.

It's unfortunate they're caving to the ratings (I assume) this way. Instead of revamping with more live programming and less commentary from talking heads, which has led to their declining ratings, they cut back on the few redeeming qualities of the network. All about the $$$$ Well, there goes our "front row seat to justice"....

I think she'll get fiesty - unable to back down from the challenge of a good argument.

Apparently that's what the general public wants to watch... No wonder why half the time, in real life, I'm surrounded by idiots!

HAHAHAHA! Ditto Sister!:floorlaugh:

If the rope existed, would not a pair of scissors from the office been more handy for cutting it than a knife from the kitchen?

I heard them state that Travis had a sleigh bed. They have no posts to tie rope to. Decorative rope is also rather thick so it doesn't lend itself to tight knots anyway. He could have just untied the knots if in fact there actually was rope involved. Again there's nowhere to tie ropes to on a sleigh bed. :waitasec:
