Here's a glaring gap in Jodi's testimony...

We see the text messages from May 26 where Travis is calling Jodi out for being a lying, manipulative sociopath (Go Travis!) and telling her he does not want to hear from her again.

Gun is "stolen" May 28

All of a sudden, Jodi is on her way to Mesa and supposedly Travis is all sweet and "guilting" her for not coming to Mesa. If there were any truth to this, don't you think we would see some text messages between May 26 and June 3 showing that Travis apologized and reeled Jodi back in with his kindness?

There is no chance that Travis had any idea Jodi was coming to Mesa, and I think he was really done with her on May 26 (hence the murder plan was put into action 2 days later when Jodi took the gun). Jodi has not told the truth about what really happened on May 26 that set Travis off like that and opened his eyes to her true nature IMO

The part I struggled with is how Travis would end up allowing her to stay with him after the break-up emails. But then it dawned on me that when she surprised him by sneaking in his house, I bet she began immediately crying to him and she was the one apologizing for her nasty texts to him. She was probably begging him for forgiveness and only then did he begin to feel sorry for her and that is probably how she ended up getting to stay with him that fateful day.

ITA and finally today answered the premeditation timing for most of us and hopefully the Jury as well..
What is the thorn in my side and hopefully the Jury doesn't have this thorn is..
What was the 'real' reason TA fell to JA's tactics this one last time?

A WSr mentioned the office was of significance and ITA she was most likely in their snooping or hacking again but I remember the check she wrote sitting in his box on desk.. could this be the answer for the above question as to why?

What's the In Session horrible situation? That they don't cover the whole day?

They use to but there is just not enough high profile cases to keep them going. After O.J. a lot of people were let go because , they were doing what I would say lousy reporting. They are making more money on Worlds Dumbest. Hey maybe they could incorporate some trials into Worlds Dumbest.

She has a moment here 55:16 when Nurmi says '....did that then relieve you to some degree thinking that .. this was over?' she looks up and goes 'WHAT was over?' I think she has an issue even today about anyone knowing that Travis told her it was OVER.

Sorry to quote myself but classic moment ... at 1:03 she starts talking about the Cancun trip and says 'Right when I broke up with him...' then she starts talking about his weight loss attempts. She just had to get in that she dumped him right after Nurmi made everyone listening remember that she was being majorly dumped during the timeframe we are now discussing .. Man she is still hung up on the fact that Travis got the upper hand on her.

I can almost imagine her saying she told Travis it was OVER on her final visit. That's motive.

Once I took my seat, I was handed a blue ribbon to pin on my shirt with two tiny pearls. It was absolutely daunting sitting up there with the family.

Ok to my notes:

Jurors closest to JA not looking at her...at all, whether she's talking or not

Not one juror looks at her as they walk in or out. She stands there with her "Von Trapp family" ;) stance staring at them as if they are looking back when in fact, not one of them looks at her...EVER.

Nurmi wearing chunky Doc Martens. He just lumbers around the courtroom like the Beast from Beauty and the Beast and that's flattering.

JA was staring at someone in the gallery with a totally blank stare.

Nurmi drags everything out. He glared at us in the hall as he walked in. It's like he's trying to be so fierce but he's faking it.

Juan walked past us and someone said "we're waiting for you" and he put his fingers in the shhhhh to his lips and silienty did that shhhh.

Juan's nostrils flaring during direct. Whispering to Flores during something (no notation on that). I wrote SHE"S LYING next to that.

Jury's not buying it. There is again only ONE juror who concerns me. He still concerns me. But just one.

Thanks so much KatieCL. I missed the first part of the afternoon and appreciate your report.

Katie I hope I catch you before you go tonight. I'm sure you are exhausted but I just want you to know how much it means that you take the time to come back here and give us the insight we really need. You don't have to but you do, it's greatly appreciated.

Getting to only see what they put up can be difficult. Especially when most of that time is sucked up Nurmi and his slow slow, mind numbing, nerve grinding ways. I go a little crazy wondering if his tactics have worked and we lost the Jury. Or more importantly how in the world his family is holding up. You are giving us relief with the knowledge you bring. Just the comment about the Jury not looking at Jodi and her smiling to no one but thin air is really great insight.

I know you are not there representing Webslueths but please know Websleuths appreciates the extra time and effort you are putting into coming here. And, it's greatly appreciated to know what the family needs. Even if it's just a little extra prayer for the day or a lot.

You help me (I'm sure others) not feel so helpless and out of the loop.

Oh, I am so thrilled you are now "cousin Katie". :) They really are lucky to have you and all of the strength you bring. They chose a wonderful person for that most important spot. Get lots of rest and take care of yourself. You are in high demand here but we care about your well being first.

Couldn't have said it better myself!! Thank you MandyLeigh!!

You loop the rope and cut the loop in the air.

Thanks for posting that! That is how I cut rope/twine. I was beginning to think I was wierd for cutting it that way!

On the doctor Drew show somebody said that the women are more likely to feel sorry for JA because they can relate to being abused and used, but the men are siding with Travis because they put themselves in Travis's position. Now how many women her feel sorry for Jodi?

I most certainly don't feel sorry for Jodi ...and at some point in most women's lives they have felt used and abused, but most just chalk it up to learning experience and move on. I thnk this is different from true abuse when a woman is 'trapped' in a marriage with kids worried about finances, etc. I think those women wouldn't believe her either. She is trying to portray herself abused and battered but to me it is as insulting as someone claiming to have cancer to get attention or handouts.

I think the texts in last two days sealed it for her. TA called her a sociopath, liar, needed to get a job and pay him back, leave him alone, etc. And my favorite: GET TO THE POINT JODI:floorlaugh:

How did the gun get into Jodi's hands in the bathroom? The DOG, of course! (No *I* don't think that, but Jodi might try to take it for a spin, so to speak).

There's a doggie door, right? So the dog let himself out to do his business, found a gun in the backyard, and brought his trophy back to show to the humans, not unlike a cat depositing a freshly killed mouse. How did the gun get into the backyard. Now how is Jodi supposed to know THAT? That's for the detectives to figure out.

Apparently they left the bedroom door open. Either that or Napoleon is a very talented dog who can open a door. He trotted into the bathroom with the prize in his mouth, and Jodi praised him, patted him on the head, gently pried the gun from his drooling mouth, and then SPUN around and shot Travis, whom she sensed was suddenly creeping up upon her in a wrathful, homicidal manner.

Napoleon yelped in surprise an ran out of the room.

Hey, it could happen.

PASA,

What are your thoughts on seeing JA live? Just as creepy as on tv? Will you be able to attend again?

Does Travis's dog actually have a Facebook page? I don't have Facebook or I'd look myself

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I doubt he has one now(if he ever did). FB had to deactivate thousands of 'fake' accounts when they went public. Long story but I had a few fake FB accounts to help me farm and they all went poof with an email explanation about needing to be accountable to their investors.

He was probably scared of her and thought if he appeased her she'd eventually leave and he could start locking his doors or move.

I'm really starting to wonder (even more than I did a thread ago) if she's going to fold tomorrow and ask for LWOP.

That way she avoids talking about the murder - and she avoids Juan Martinez.

Her DT at this point has GOT to be aware this is not going well, I can't imagine they aren't discussing likely/unlikely outcomes with her (unlikely: not guilty. Very unlikely), in fact I think they're just losing ground the longer this goes on. Aren't they duty bound to present options to their client - especially when things really seem to be very bad for her?

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised at all if she caves - it would be the one wise thing she'd have done throughout this entire trial.

Given she hasn't shown to be very wise at all, maybe I am giving her too much credit.

Things are just going to get much, much harder for her from here on out. If she's anything, she's self-serving at any cost - she's proven that.

That seems to be a "hot" button for her. Interesting. jmo

JA looks in the general direction of the jury but in reality is making eye contact with NO ONE. NO ONE is looking at her as she looks that way.

JM on the edge of his seat sitting forward with his hand covering his mouth like his nails at his lips.

JA seamlessly moves from speaking/objection/sustained completely unruffled, robotic.

Her energy gets more gleeful as she talks about heading to Mesa. The shift in demeanor is palpable.

Nurmi even pours himself water in slow motion. He's like waatching paint dry. He's just so freaking slow and boring and affected.

Pasadena to Mesa----- a few times for gas? Not true (you can make that on one tank unless you are driving some huge rig).

Young male juror in the back row amused by something...he's chuckling to himself suppressing a smile during Jody talking about pulling up to Travis' house and parking (???).

Something that struck me today is when she talked about Cancun and how she was never scheduled to go. The tone in her voice changed noticeably to me.
