Jodi has some tells when she lies. One is talking with a little more assertiveness and confidence than usual (as in "pedophile with a past"), but this is the one where she throws in extraneous information, which is almost on every answer. It's what children do when they're trying to get out of something. It's the bs-er's m.o.

They have one in Las Vegas and Glendale. She knows what it is, who doesn't? She makes it sound like she just fell off the turnip truck. jmo

Yes, for the afternoon and all day Thursday.

Oh and yeah on the break I was talking to Beth about the whole In Session horrible situation (she's pretty devastated) and of course the "corset lady" from my first day in her bizarre outfit du jour blasts up and totally interrupts our conversation blathering about how much she loves the old Court TV, etc. There are some real nuts showing up there and frankly I have no patience for them.

I was able to give Beth a big hug and tell her how wonderful she's been.

I also talked to Jean C on the street who seemed surprised I even knew it had happened (they were just informed over the weekend) . But she was gracious.

Also I got to see PASA! Who got in herself!!

Is she the one with the long dark ponytail? Hubby calls her gypsy woman. :-)

I'm so bummed about the whole I.S. situation.

Does she really need glasses? I found it odd that she took her glasses off to read. I've seen people do this , but when they had to look far also to read. She seems to not need them up close.

She told Ryan that's where she cut her hand on a glass, yet... there are no Margaritaville restaurants in California!!! So when did she go to the one in Las Vegas or Glendale???:waitasec:

Something that struck me today is when she talked about Cancun and how she was never scheduled to go. The tone in her voice changed noticeably to me.


Yeah, that part was very noticeable. To me, it seemed she was so obviously lying that it didnt bother her about the other person going on the trip. It was really bad timing that her attorney brought that up at that time because it seemed so obvious she really was very pissed off still about the other girl getting to go.

The look on her face when she turned to her attorney and said something like she didnt even care or know about the trip or something like that.

Hope JM finds these things that can set her off on the stand. Light her fuse and watch her explode.

I still have a hinky feeling about this trial. Before today I just thought shes such a control freak she'd throw a hissy, crying fit either at the end of her direct or the beginning of cross and Court would have to be cancelled for a day or whatever.

But now I wonder...if her DT and the LIAR herself realize how bad its going, can they go to Juan and try to cut a deal for 2nd degree murder??? NOT that LIAR would want to? Just thinking out loud.:waitasec:

Nope. Too late. I think she already offered to accept a guilty plea for 2nd degree murder, and it was turned down.

Wow, That is an amazing catch. I wouldn't be surprised if the prosecution already has it in their back pocket. I don't think they'll have left any stone unturned (I hope!) Kudos on some awesome sleuthing! :D

She has a moment here 55:16 when Nurmi says '....did that then relieve you to some degree thinking that .. this was over?' she looks up and goes 'WHAT was over?' I think she has an issue even today about anyone knowing that Travis told her it was OVER.

Indeed she does, Mrs. Norris -- he did strike a nerve, didn't he?! She (over-) reacted immediately, sitting straight up and with a bit of fire in her eyes to look straight at him, almost as if he had slapped her. Oooooh, she was sensitive -- but he is the one who told her to not come back, etc., etc., but still she could not stop seeing or calling or o/l'ing him until he could breathe no more.

He!! hath no fury....

Jodi added the word "grovel" today. Yet, we see, she does not grovel, but instead blames every living soul she comes in contact with. She sure doesn't seem capable of groveling if her life depended on it.

:lol: Somebody would have to act it out for her first.

Do you know what NG was talking about?

I said it before and will say it again NG gets a lot of unconfirmed information, and reports it even if it's wrong and won't correct her mistake.

Before tomorrow's testimony ...try this:
count to 27 while making a stabbing motion....1..2..3..4..5..6..7..8...9..10..11..12...13..14...15..16...17..18...19..20..21...22...23..24...25...26...27.... say it outloud. Its absolutely insane. Even without the throat slashing or gunshot....no way is that self defense.....

I hope our hero prosecutor can drive this point home for the jury...Imo...

Thank you both! I'm pretty confident the prosecution already knows this, what surprises me is that the defense didn't notice and it's not that difficult to find. Did they not date the photo? (Unless there is some omission in the MySpace system.) I also noticed on the Justice4Travis FB page other people had made the same observation as well. Many are catching on. I can't imagine how overwhelming it is to be both defense and prosecution and try to keep track of all of this, especially with her verbal vomit of minutiae but still...

I'm bringing this over from the last thread because I'm interested in all of your opinions on this!

I've noticed throughout her testimony that she always makes reference to Travis's dog as if he were a person. "Was Travis alone? No, Napolean was there". Even my very good friends who love their furry children don't refer to their pets as "being there" in the sense of "Are you home alone? No, Fuzzy and Cuddly are here with me."

I know that he was very dear to Travis, maybe he was dear to her, too. Or maybe it's a strategy to humanize her. It's baffling to me and I only mention it because I feel like it's overdone; even as far as her "accidentally" calling the dog by it's "nickname" 'Naps' and then correcting herself and calling him by his legal name.

Any thoughts?

I agree. Sure, just call the dog "Naps" and it makes her seem more significant, more important, and it makes her appear more human. Because she's such a good friend to the dog she "accidentally" calls him by his nickname, and if she's a dog person, she can't be too bad, right?

Everything JA says is connived and concocted to project an image of herself as something and someone she is not. She believes she's so much smarter than everyone else to the point that she's delusional. Which leaves her convinced that she can fool everyone into believing she's Mary Poppins or the reincarnation of Mother Theresa. And she does have it down pretty good at making her comments sound just off the cuff or like a totally innocent slip of the tongue.

Of course to us, she's totally transparent and doesn't have us fooled in the least. We know what she really is. I just hope the jury can see through her as well.

I don't believe they feel normal human emotions.

One thing I did love though is that the word "sociopath" being descriptive of Jodi came in today...through Travis. Also the word "evil". I don't think that was lost on the jury.

Interesting too that TA used the word "sociopath" rather than the more usual (at least to people not obsessed with crimes and trials!) "psychopath" -- makes me think he was researching the subject and had come to understand just what he was dealing with. Too sad.....
