All I know is Pam went to the family , reminded them of my situation and why I'm there and they literally and physically embraced me and invited me in to sit with them. Pam quoted one of them saying "you're cousin Katie now". Then they handed me the blue ribbon which I will wear every day and treasure. I think, like me, there is some odd comfort knowing you are not alone in this kind of horror. I at least hope my sincere intent of being there in support of them and in JUSTICE and honest belief in this murderer being convicted is being communicated. I hope so.

Thanks for appreciating my contributions guys. It's a heavy thing. But ya know it's good to have a purpose. I'm gonna keep going in up until that guilty verdict then I will be bawling like a baby.

:blowkiss:

Katiecoo! I just got to read your insight from yesterday, and your experience. What an amazing gift you are to us and Travis' family! Thank you for taking the time to share with us. Your effort has not gone unnoticed by any of us here! Thank you is just not enough!

sorry for ranting about yesterday's testimony... but what in the hello is up with lake powell? Has Arias watched the testimony thus far from Mr. Burns? You know, the story that she told him about driving the wrong way and falling asleep?

there was no lake powell in the plan...

no need to apologize - maybe you were preparing yourself for today! I have a feeling i'll be doing a TON of ranting after hearing what she has to say about the gun!!

IIRC: I think JA said she put the sheets in the washer after the 1st round of sex. Then came the office incident. Then she left off with the pics in the shower. If she accidentally threw the camera in with the sheets after the 1st round, she would not have had it to take the shower and death pics. IMO

Excellent point! If only there was some way we could point out all these errors to the jurors, although I think Juan might have a pretty good handle on that. :rocker:

I had already spoken to my husband about this when I heard they would stop doing live trials. He has been a software engineer for years and years about how hard it would be to set something like that up.

We are all pretty smart here, we should be able to come up with some solution.

You would definitely need a lawyer to argue for media access.

I agree.

The entire sodomy story makes no sense.
TA must out of anger – grab TA with both hands, turn her around, unloosen her pants, slip her pants down, pull his pants down, extricate an erect penis out of his garments, and then _ I suppose – penetrate her. Because TA’s hands are busy doing other things, JA must simply stand in this pose as if she were a blow up doll. The angle of the 2 bodies as proposed by JA do NOT allow facile entry of an erect penis into a rectum which is oriented in the upright standing position.

This scene is more likely a fantasy from a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 film – not an occurrence in TA’s home office.

It is unimaginable that TA would be feeling erotic enough to sustain an erection or much less likely ejaculate. Arousal process originates completely in the brain NOT in the genitalia.

Holy Smokes...facile entry? I was having trouble with the rope, now I am really lost.

Still searching for the pics of travis' slippers. the "rope" looks like a piece of shag from his slippers. I think it was presented on day one of the prosecutions case.

i wish we had an anonymous lawyer who will come on and just tell us how much the defense lawyers build their case with the defendant. If I was her lawyer I would look at all the FACTS of evidence and let her know that none of this rings true. I guess I wouldn't get much work tho. I'd be broke like Jodi taking road trips, buying gas, and chilling while my credit cards are maxed out. For someone with No money she got around a lot.

My trial for today just got settled, so I get to see Jodi testify today. Yippee!

Yea the rope response is falling appart the more I look at it unless it was planned ahead like brought. I would still like to know how Travis got the marks on his ankles.

IIRC, they were sustained while being dragged

Yes that "shag" on the slippers looked literally like carpet which this fiber looks like...a pulled out carpet fiber OR a short fiber from a tassle. How they will weave this tiny thing in to a whole ROPE is just a metaphor for the entire defense case imo.

Could prolly do that :) But first it would be good to know if its even a good idea lol.

They just got the news over the weekend. My impression is they are still stunned and in shock over the whole thing and have no idea what's going to happen next.. Beth said to me"it's the end of an era" and tears sprung straight to my eyes...hers too. And we hugged and I thanked her for all the great reporting and told her just how much I've appreciated her. This will be her last trial reporting on.

No idea if there is another plan in the works but no one I talked to is expecting some other network to pick it up

I want to start a letter writing campaign ...if anyone has any ideas of th best way to do this to send a message to CNN it would be great. Or Turner broadcasting...???

I don't know if it's been mentioned already, but someone has a petition out on change.org asking InSession to reconsider changing their format. I signed it yesterday. I'm looking for the link to it right now and will edit this message with it..

Hi Katiecool

If you know, does Travis's family believe he was expecting Jodi to visit him on June 4?

i think asking questions like that would be insensitive....these poor people are going through a stinking hell like no other...:moo:

After reading KatieCoolady's victim impact statement, I'm wondering why everyone is still hoping for the DP. With a death sentence, JA will have tons of resources, lawyers, meetings, support, etc, even fans and well wishers from anti-DP activists. She will have a good chance of having that sentence changed. With LWOP, they will lock her up and throw away the key. No chance for appeal, right? She will be alone (for the most part) and forgotten. Am I missing something important here? It just seems like the DP has a really good chance of ending up something else. Someone may try and prove she is "retarded".

It is rare to get off DP here. It has happened but its not the norm. And no way would anyone believe she is mentally challenged. She would spend 23 hrs by herself in a claustrophobic cell and even in her one hour a day she'd be alone. no mixing with people like what LWOP's get. For someone who couldn't stand being alone for one min this would be the ultimate punishment for her. no one to manipulate, no one to control, no one to listen to her. For a sociopath who is an extreme narcissist this is the ultimate punishment. She would have fans and get letters even with LWOP.

yep I agree with you. I believe she panicked and started trying to cover her tracks of her being there. The bloody clothes/camera got scooped up in her panic and ended up in the laundry. Remember her story (I wasn't there). She was hell bent on destroying any incriminating evidence. She took the gun, knife, magic rope, her clothes, the floormats and anything else that would link her but purposely put the camera in the wash? why would she take the chance? she didn't want to be found out. I think once she got to the drop site she damn near had a heart attack when she realized the camera wasn't there. You should see how she reacted when detective flores told her he found the camera, she was shocked. When he told her the camera was damaged you could literally hear the relief in her voice. Watching the interrogation she looked so shocked when flores told her they found her photos on the camera. She just couldn't believe it! she wanted to see the pics.

I 100% agree with you. And I noticed her reaction to the camera during interrogation as well. It was the pivotal piece am I agree that she likely pissed her pants when she assessed her inventory of evidence and found the camera missing.

isn't it weird that she needed all these gas cans to fill up to save money, yet went and got her nails done? Isn't than an oxymoron to save a few dollars at most?

Blech --

Katiecoo, just went over your notes from yesterday and i am so glad you can be there for Travis's family and friends.

seems like the jurors are feeling as most of us do,tired of JA's BS.

can you elaborate on what particularly is worrying you about that one particular juror you mention? sorry if its already been discussed.

i just want to hug every one of Travis's family and tell them it will be ok and justice will be done. my heart breaks for them having to go through this.

katie you are a star!!

Your heartbreaking story of the endless appeal process and how interminable and awful it was makes me want to protect his family from that pain. I can see why they want the "ultimate" punishment. But I also want this to be over for them.

Of course it makes sense they want her to get the DP---I understand your full support. It's a delicate situation. I hope eventually they get a chance to read your impact statement. It certainly was an education for me.

They did read it! :) Samantha told me that in court. So it is what it is. I'll be there for them no matter what if they ever need me, for anything. And support them fully in what their own decisions and interests are. I call tell you this (from my own experience), the big crash comes after the trial is over. Even with the guilty verdict and the sentence you want. That's when you crash.

So this man who habitually abused her stopped the first "bondage" experience because she said the rope was scratchy, and then he went out and obtained a silky rope so the binding would be comfortable.

That's what batterers do, they're known to be considerate of their partners and trying to please them and make sex pleasurable for them.

Keep talking, honey.

And after he buys and cuts the perfect rope, gets her tied up just right, he stops cause his whiskers are too scratchy. Gosh he is mean.

I am also confused about the knife.
JA said TA took the knife from the knife block to use to cut the rope. The knife was conveniently left in the bathroom.
I guess the knife was available to use during the TA attack.

Then - I guess - after the homicide the knife is cleaned up and then properly placed back into the knife block????

Anyone know if LE tested the knives in Travis's home for traces of blood/evidence?

I can't imagine LE not doing this. But maybe it was too late at that point (several days later). How horrible it would be for his housemates to have used the murder weapon to cut their meat/vegetables! Maybe running it through the dishwasher several times during that 5 day period. I think, if I were them, I would be sick at heart about this, even though it was not their fault--and they could not have known.

I rather prefer to believe that Arias brought her own knife, perhaps the one she used to slash tires. Apparently, she was quite handy with it.
