They just got the news over the weekend. My impression is they are still stunned and in shock over the whole thing and have no idea what's going to happen next.. Beth said to me"it's the end of an era" and tears sprung straight to my eyes...hers too. And we hugged and I thanked her for all the great reporting and told her just how much I've appreciated her. This will be her last trial reporting on.

No idea if there is another plan in the works but no one I talked to is expecting some other network to pick it up

I want to start a letter writing campaign ...if anyone has any ideas of th best way to do this to send a message to CNN it would be great. Or Turner broadcasting...???

Or the "O" network. I'm in for the letter writing. Just not sure what on earth the tv 'execs' are thinking. When 3pm comes here and InSession goes off air, I cannot change my channel fast enough, during this trial or any other.

I've recognized all along that the pieces of "rope" were actually pieces of fringe from a tassel from a pillow in Travis room. I just spent an hour trying to find a similar material for sale on the internet. It's pretty much not there. The smallest diameter for pillow cording I found was 3/16''. However, whenever I've been to fabric stores, I've never seen cording with the texture of the material in the bathroom or on the stands. It looks porous, similar to some tightly twisted yarns.

I wonder if someone could testify that one pillow was missing from the room? Was the fabric tested? I didn't hear anything about that. The defense would know if it was.

The whole story is such a crock, anyway. It just bugs me no end.

Jodi said Travis never locked the doors. The roommate said the door was locked when he got home which was very unusual. But Jodi testified when she got to the house on the morning of June 4th the front door was locked. Does not sound as if he was expecting her. jmo

I don't think for one second that travis locked his door. Even with the blow up with Jodi just days before. I think she came through the front door as she always did. Unannounced and unexpected. The roommate said that the door was locked when he came home from work. he entered through the garage. Jodi said yesterday that she had a key (rambled on some excuse why she didn't have it blah blah blah) I think she tried to keep travis from being discovered for as long as possible. She locked the bedroom doors before she left and the door to the house. She didn't want any of his friends to just drop by. She made sure the only people to go in the house would be ones living there with the garage access code. The roommates didn't have keys because the door was never locked.

It's snowing in the Ozarks! So pretty. the spring birds had alredy appeared, so I threw out some Cheerios. They don't like my Frosted Flakes.

Is there any information about WHEN the gun disappeared from the grandparents' home as opposed to when they noticed it was gone?

Still searching for the pics of travis' slippers. the "rope" looks like a piece of shag from his slippers. I think it was presented on day one of the prosecutions case.

i wish we had an anonymous lawyer who will come on and just tell us how much the defense lawyers build their case with the defendant. If I was her lawyer I would look at all the FACTS of evidence and let her know that none of this rings true. I guess I wouldn't get much work tho. I'd be broke like Jodi taking road trips, buying gas, and chilling while my credit cards are maxed out. For someone with No money she got around a lot.

If you look at the media events only file, tabularasa has a photoshop account with all pics.

It is rare to get off DP here. It has happened but its not the norm. And no way would anyone believe she is mentally challenged. She would spend 23 hrs by herself in a claustrophobic cell and even in her one hour a day she'd be alone. no mixing with people like what LWOP's get. For someone who couldn't stand being alone for one min this would be the ultimate punishment for her. no one to manipulate, no one to control, no one to listen to her. For a sociopath who is an extreme narcissist this is the ultimate punishment. She would have fans and get letters even with LWOP.

I was thinking the same thing. She seems to only be able to mimic others. And is very manipulative, vindictive and just freaking weird.

I suppose she could mimic a wall lol.

Why cut the rope at all?

Exactly because the intricate way she's crafted her lie to indicate he tied her up over a sleigh bed (only the hands too) had to do with one long piece of rope slung over the entire head board. So there would be no need for two pieces the way she described it herself. Another thing for Juan to demolish.

Holy Smokes...facile entry? I was having trouble with the rope, now I am really lost.

Lmao! "50 Shades of Grey" should help catch you up on all the lingo.

well, one good thing about today: no more text messages

I have to say.. nothing that the defense has show so far was abusive or earth shattering in the slightest.. and if anything gave Travis a voice.

That's what I think too. Some think she may have used one of the pillows as a muzzle for her gun shot. Speaking of guns, we'll get to hear today her creative fiction on just where that gun came from. Maybe she will say another person, like a police officer or Mimi, came in with a gun and shot him later.

I put nothing past her (or Nurmi) at this point.

And she is worried about the price difference of gas, and yet she goes for a manicure and a strawberry frappacinno. Not exactly penny pinching.

I think the funniest lie is the skateboarders in Pasadena, who decided to turn her license plate upside down. Yea, sure. They had their phillips screw drivers and pulled a little prank on a stranger for the lolz.

Yeah, borrowed money from the friend in Big Sur while on her trip, all so she could get a manicure? And she seems to live on these frappacinno's. Aren't they like five bucks a piece? Yet she borrowed gas cans because of the high price of gas. Oh, that's right, then turned around and filled them up with the high priced gas. :what:

Her lies are becoming more and more audacious and are not in the least believable. I can not wait for Juan to get hold of her.

  • #1,353
"Do you swear to tell lies and nothing but lies..." It's bizarre. Almost nothing she has said on the stand has been true. Can she get some kind of punishment for this?

Yes, the death penalty

They did read it! :) Samantha told me that in court. So it is what it is. I'll be there for them no matter what if they ever need me, for anything. And support them fully in what their own decisions and interests are. I call tell you this (from my own experience), the big crash comes after the trial is over. Even with the guilty verdict and the sentence you want. That's when you crash.

seems i have missed the impact statement also, did you post here? if so can you point me in the right direction please.

i am moving to a WS friendly timezone :seeya:

this case was built BY her attorney and her. he knows exactly what happened because she told him. why wouldn't she tell him the truth? he can't say anything to anyone. he can't tell anyone she's guilty as hell. he doesn't CARE. his job is to get her off, or at least keep her off death row.

they've had a lot of time to go over all the potential stumbling blocks and come up with answers for them. but nurmi doesn't believe this load of bull feces----it's just his job to sell it. that's all.

Anyone know if LE tested the knives in Travis's home for traces of blood/evidence?

I can't imagine LE not doing this. But maybe it was too late at that point (several days later). How horrible it would be for his housemates to have used the murder weapon to cut their meat/vegetables! Maybe running it through the dishwasher several times during that 5 day period. I think, if I were them, I would be sick at heart about this, even though it was not their fault--and they could not have known.

I rather prefer to believe that Arias brought her own knife, perhaps the one she used to slash tires. Apparently, she was quite handy with it.

State has said there were no knoves missing from TA's house, let alone a knife block as she states

I was thinking yesterday she just keeps killing him.

I'm just surprised she didn't cut off his penis, freeze dry it and use it as a key ring!
