Ok got a question...

Does Gus live in Vegas?? He says JA called him at 3:30am but she says she went over the Hoover Dam.. I'm not looking at a map...

BUT.. would you cross the Hoover Damn to go to UT SLC St G or where ever??? Umm seems to me like you would be heading north up the I-17 to I-40 then what is it I-20 something North thru Monument Valley etc..

Soooooooooooooo Did she head to Gus's? Have we looked at the timeline from last pic time stamp to the places she talks about??
idk, but according to him, he asked her where she was and she said either northern or southern ca (can't remember which) that would be a lie, since she was on her way to utah. i think it's really strange gus didn't call any of travis friends to find out why or how he died. wasn't he curious? i really like gus, but i find this odd.

:furious:
I am so confused Mike Brooks just said a gun was never found...I thought one was found weeks later hidden in the trunk.

2 different guns...one that killed came from grandparents then when she got home and was headed out of town on that "suicide" mission (lie ) she had bought one...

She remembered more when the ninjas were doing the killing. She was trying to put the ninja's actions in order to fit the crime scene. So everything she told him is what happened. Travis screaming "but not like a girl", Travis on his hands and knees. Like I said earlier the only remorse she has spoken about has been about her and the end of her lifestyle. She cries quite a bit about that.

I think that was four knees, 3trees.

hee

To be honest, I'm surprised her self defense story is so horrible. I knew it would be a pack of lies but I didn't expect it to be THAT nonsensical. Wow. I bet Juan is thrilled.

IMO

I'm so relieved. I expected a much better lie, something that fit the evidence to a tee. The blackout was music to my ears.

When Jodi "came to" she was in the desert. She had blood on her hands and she washed it off with Costco water. She did not mention blood in her hair, face, on clothing. After viewing the crime scene with all its blood, she had to have been covered head to toe. BIG LIE!

Also, she claim she didn't have her shoes. They weren't found at the scene. She had to have taken them off before exiting the bedroom. She had to have ditched them as well. They did have blood all over them (footprint, eg.).

BBM

I have been on a death penalty case and in THIS case I could vote death in a heartbeat based on the evidence entered.

Exactly. This case is nothing like the CA case.......nada. She did not testify. She did not lie under oath from start to finish on the witness stand for 8 days straight.

I would have been okay w/LWOP until she started trashing TA - that's when it changed for me.

Did anyone else notice that she cried real tears today?

Did I see little balls of salty water come from her eyes and drip down her cheeks a couple of times?

Yes.

Did I see her 'cry' - as in a welling up of emotion so strong that one cries?

Nope, didn't see that.

Only possible 'feeling' that could be inducing her 'tears' imv is her intensely growing fear that this is getting SO far away from her that she's afraid for herself.

More likely, she's faking everything for the sake of the jury. She moves between emotion too fast (imv) for her emotions/tears to be authentic.

Why do they care about the rope- making it important? She said herself she could get out of it at any time.

Or THIS IS MY IMAGINATION TALKING.. Did she show up at 4am & tie TA up holding gun on him the whole time?

Isn't the pic of him in bed odd you only see one arm side of body like he was putting hand up to block pic?

Maybe she told him it was a fantasy led him to shower untied him to wash off her DNA from him then took pic of him surprised as she "cocked" gun or flashed knife?

Btw.. Could they blow up that pic & see what the imagine reflected in his pupils show???

just my theory

Because Travis used a knife to cut the rope. It is the reason the knife was handy for Jodi to use in her fugue state.

Personally speaking, (as I can only speak for myself of course), I follow the dictates of Jesus Christ, although am not a Christian.:waitasec: His pattern in otherwords, is perfect.
Therefore, I would never have been on this jury even though I live in Phoenix.

Reason?

I don't believe in the Death Penalty. :twocents:

I do believe when there is any smidgeon of doubt, give the other the benefit of that doubt. Revenge does not bring back anyone's dead loved ones.

And in our country, we've seen dozens, (how many now) since DNA proven to have been murdered at the hands of the executioner, when they were actually innocent all along.

Not that Jodi is innocent of course, she is admitting to having done this horrific crime.

Yet, I find pity in my heart for her.

Imagine that!!!!!:jail:

This thread is moving so fast that I may be repeating what someone else said so please don't think I'm picking on you. :please:

But we have a thread for this very topic in the Political Pavilion: Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Pity is one thing. But releasing a murderer to thublic so she can slaughter someone all over again is not pity. It is stupidity! She sliced his throat from ear to ear. She stabbed him in the heart and in the back, a total of 29 times and she shot him in the head. Good grief. Get over your sanctimonious self!!!!!

I cannot WAIT for Juan. Whoa momma. I can't imagine, well I can...:croc:

  • #173
Well, the jury has been paying attention to the trial the whole time, not just today. They are looking at the case as a whole, not just the lying defendants testimony to try and save her life. :twocents:

To make a decision regarding the trial by just watching one small piece of the defendants testimony is probably not the best. Yes the jury has the whole picture.

Well you are entitled to your opinion of course but I couldnt disagree more.

However I dont have one dab of pity in my heart for a stone cold killer who ruthlessly murdered Travis just because he wanted her out of his life. My heart is broken for the true victim here that crossed paths with this sociopath and his family who has to endure all of her lies.

I hope she gets death because she deserves no less, imo. God also says we must abide by the laws of man.

Well that has nothing to do with this defendant imo Jodi Arais is not innocent. This case is chocked full of evidence against her.

Juan is going to bring back the truth in that courtroom if Nurmi will ever shut up.

I cant wait. The truth will always prevail.

good one. Jody would actually be better off dead. she's of no use to herself or anyone else. it's not about revenge it's about "consequences". i think the death PENALTY needs to be renamed the death CONSEQUENCE.

You know what .. I would have been happy with LWOP until I watched her drag Travis' name through the mud in an attempt to save herself from the DP .. now I want nothing short of it. Great strategy by the defence. If they hate her and want to see her get DP themselves.

Exactly............all of her tales are based on lies. She should pay dearly for blaming the victim ........making up bald face lies against him and she will pay dearly for that imo.

IMO

She's crying because she's going to spend the rest of her life on Death Row and isn't even going to be able to grind other chicks.

SELF DEFENSE???
She just said she broke away from naked TA clutches and ran down the hallway - to FREEDOM

BUT WHAT DID SHE DO??
Instead of turning left OUT THE bedroom DOOR to freedom JA instead turns RIGHT into the closet where, mirablis dictu, a gun is found. A gun JA told the detective TA did NOT have or OWN.
Why turn right into the closet??? to escape.

Of course the entire account JA provided is a self serving fabrication.
Again JA savagely murdered TA in cold blood with MALICE AFORETHOUGHT.

JA lies about the gun.
She had a gun with her on the way to Mesa. She stole the gun from the Grandfather.
She conscientiously prepared an alibi and acted after the murder as if NOTHING happened.
She was IN NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM suicidal. Nor has JA ever been suicidal. JA would not know what it is like to contemplate suicide.

Hi, First time poster here. I am a carryover from the old Hinky Meter (Casey Anthony Trial).
When defense was showing a photo of the ceiling, after the live pictures of Travis, Jodi stated she did not take that picture. It was the exact time of the stabbings that she says she cannot remember. Can't remember stabbing, but can remember not taking the photo.

Great catch. And :welcome: to WS.
