Oh ... we're back to motor mouth Jodi.

She remembered more when the ninjas were doing the killing. She was trying to put the ninja's actions in order to fit the crime scene. So everything she told him is what happened. Travis screaming "but not like a girl", Travis on his hands and knees. Like I said earlier the only remorse she has spoken about has been about her and the end of her lifestyle. She cries quite a bit about that.

Cross-exam Question No. 786:

JM: Mz. Arias, how izzit that you remember more about the two masked intruders killing Mr. Alexander than you do about how you did it?

She will so remember her shift.

It's go time!

Nah... GO TIME will be when Nurmi says, "Nothing further, your Honor," and Juan Martinez stands up and says -

That will be freaking GO TIME...
imv :)

:floorlaugh: LMAO - Jodie: I called the car rental place to make sure I had permission to do that! <------------ but you had no issue with telling them it was local driving only!

Murdering someone can make one tired

So, she doesn't remember anything after the gun went off (and she thought it missed him) until she was driving in the desert and then thinks she's in big trouble? Like her life is over trouble? Why would that be if she didn't remember that she slaughtered him?

  • #448
she was late for work so in a rush...

wouldn't want to be late for werk now...

  • #449
She sure got over the murder/slaughter testimony fast. Back to perky Jodi.

I have had friends involved in car accidents who had horrible survivor guilt when someone died. I would sure expect, in a normal person, if you had to kill someone in self defense and still loved them, you would feel tremendous survivor guilt - unable to function. Not saying someone needs to feel that it actual self defense, but it seems like it is automatic and horrific. Don't see that anywhere here. She was fully able to function and interact to the point that no one could tell anything had happened.

At this point she doesn't now for certain that Travis is dead or alive - and shes banging some other guy. in denial she says

Could Nurmi possibly finish his direct today?

well, since she's conveniently forgotten the whole thing, yeah maybe.

:furious:

i can't believe we had to suffer through her entire life up to that day in minute detail, EXCRUCIATING detail. then we get to what we've been waiting for and she doesn't recall any of it.

:great:

No Jodi....nothing makes sense where you are concerned

Yes and my heart absolutely breaks for those who aren't able to defend themselves like animals or a naked, helpless boy in a shower who is butchered to death.

ITA. Along similar lines, as the quote in my signature says... we cannot be silent or neutral or ignorant in these horrific situation or in this world today. And I'm NOT referring to a philosophical conversation about having compassion for all of humanity or forgiving all sins, to each their own on that. I'm talking about being active, proactive, engaged in helping those who need help and who are defenseless, who are victimized and tormented.

Following the nightmare of what happened to Travis and what his family and friends are being put through, I no longer feel it's acceptable to sit on the sidelines and watch these scenarios play out. I'm not quite sure what I can do or where I fit in, but I know I need to do something. Katie is that example.
There has to be a productive way to channel this anger and disgust into something positive for those who are suffering... there has to be. :(

she forgot what she did but she felt guilty it does not makes any sense.:jail:

And why would she feel guilty if she was truly defending herself from an abusive person?

  • #457
Could Nurmi possibly finish his direct today?

doubt it. He is going to drag this out one more day is my prediction, ending with her sobbing tomorrow before jury breaks for the weekend
