Now if someone had threatened you to the point you were convinced your life was in danger and you HAD to kill them in order to save yourself, would you feel SHAME?
I wouldn't. I'd feel justified and glad to be alive. I might feel sad that I had to do that, but I certainly wouldn't feel shame.
Shame is when you know what you're doing is WRONG
