This sounds so so bad.

Front row jurors looking less and less at her.

Interesting she knows Det. Flores is Mormon.

She didn't want to throw him under the bus (Travis) but she throws EVERY man under the bus she's ever known including her own father.

I'm writing right now to hold back Tourettes...I wanna just scream SHUT UP!!.

Respectfully truncated to address my 2 bits :)

Notice how she transparently left off the 'detective" and referred crassly to him as "Flores" each time/ i remember Hbaez doing that

She has been throwing TA under the bus since she got on the stand. No soul :(

Oh and I thought one of THE MOST disgusting things she had the audacity to say today was her little "after death" encounter with Travis the day of the memorial service where she claimed he 'was in a better place". I think I gasped and/ or heard someone near me gasping. SHE HAD JUST KILLED HIM.

Oh boy I just can't wait for tomorrow and BOY JUANDER.

mister nurse on the 25 cal gun

1) no one keeps a round chambered in a gun with the safety off

2) a 25 cannot be loaded and not chambered unless you have a magazine

3) to load and chamber a round would take a couple of seconds and you would have to know what you are doing (she claims to never have shot a gun iirc)

I thought you guys would like to see the size of a 25 and the clip for bullets ..notice the red disposable lighter for size comparison ...

I was wondering if the jury was buying any of this.. If so how could that even be possible?? But I'm glad to hear that it appears all the sane peeps are on the same page!

I'd like to go downtown sit in court but I don't trust myself to not cough "bullchit" or take some candy from Troy :blushing:

Oh believe me I'll take candy from Troy next time (he's unimaginably handsome and I don't ever go for blonds). I just had put a cough drop in my mouth so I couldn't justify it!

He did say his interview with her wasn't "bizarre" as I asked him. He said "but reminding myself what she did, that was bizarre".

How can she remember every single detail of the alleged fight - him grabbing her waist, her running from him and turning right to go into the closet, reaching up to grab the gun - but suddenly nothing after that. And how can she claim self defense if she can't remember exactly what happened?

And if they were THAT close when she fired the gun, there would be evidence of a close shot, like stippling.

I'm prolly not the only person here who has fired a gun in the past week. They don't just "go off". And a .25 caliber is almost certainly a double action pull, which means a LONG, heavy pull of the trigger.

True that! Our oldest son waits tables at Pappasitos, works 60 hours (nights and weekends) a week and takes classes at U of H three days a week. His W2 came to our house and he made 52K last year. Not bad for 21 year old kid in school!

OMG! Pappacito's catered our wedding! We had a true Tex Mex wedding in Austin: rehearsal dinner at the Salt Lick, wedding catered by Pappacito's! :great:

Your son made twice what I made last year and I have two degrees and 15 years experience! Lol! :thud:

Page 7 (last) notes:

He's glossed over the murder and brought the jury straight back to Jodi Victimtown.

Claims officer told her to go on Inside Edition. ALWAYS excuses and blaming others.

"when we began ..." OMG he's not going to take us way back to the beginning of her testimony for the love of God.

"didn't watch very much TV" WTH? She references almost every story with an associated TV show or movie.

Her "no jury will convict me" story makes no sense. The jury isn't connecting to it.

Her story "feels fraudulent...feels wrong" well duh.

Spring 2010 "I confessed".

Ok that's all i wrote.

After court went with Bill and Katie for happy hour nearby ...katie's birthday...27!

I think she's going to join here so I hope everyone gives her a warm welcome. She's a very sweet and kind girl and her heart is in the right place. She's right on the same page as the rest of us here . I think you will like her. She's also looking for intelligent dialogue on this (and other ) cases.

I think thats it...I'll sit here and watch some of today's coverage and post anything else I remember.

:seeya:

Thanks KatieCoolLady! Excellent rundown as always.

Looking forward to the other Katie joining.

Why was Flores sitting at the Prosecutors table? Isn't he the investigating officer?

Love, love, love Papppasitos, and Pappadeaus. Best in DFW. jmo

Just noticed you said U of H. Didn't know those restaurants were in Houston. Still the best.

Page 6 notes:

Her hope to not be around by the time the show aired. Hope? You hope your cancer doesn't return. You don't "hope" you don't commit suicide. Her wording again makes no sense.

"I want to ask you a few things about these interviews". Why the preamble Nurmi? Just ask her the damn questions...you don't need to announce it.

She keeps saying how she didn't want the "abuse" to be seen as "a possible reason to have killed him". Again a revealing but self sabotaging line, not that I mind.

He glosses over the murder then dives deep in to her detailed memory when it comes to media interviews.

J's Mom leaves during media interview testimony. More boring sexual stuff to try and deflect from the murder.

Juror 1 looks out at the gallery- T's family side.

She looks there or down at her lap, never at Jodi.

She's in her own fantasy world..thinks she's making a connection with each juror as they file in and out..she looks at the backs of their heads like she's making some kind of psychic connection and not one EVER looks in her direction as they file in. On their way out they look in the opposite direction and she still stares at their backs with her plaintive Von Trapp pose as if they can see her. She's just nuts.

I just snort/squirted wine out my front teeth. Your notes really ARE the best.

Being a waitress got me through college. It is not an easy job but it paid my bills. Being a waitress is not easy. Dealing with people has its challenges.

Man, I tell ya, it's the hardest work I ever did. But it made me appreciate hard work and respect anyone who does a job like that every day.

I can hate on Jodi for a lot of things, but being a waitress isn't one of them.

I can't even imagine how he could sit across from her listening to her BS knowing the evidence points to her doing all of it!

I wonder what Hoon thinks about the case being the Mayor of Mesa aka Hoonerville

Thanks Katie Kool-aid! Hope you enjoyed your much deserved happy hour! Be careful hot rodding through the rain tomorrow to get your spot... I bet it will be packed!

My impression of this:
Nurmi: why didn't you want to tell about the sex?
Ja: because he was morman.

I believe that she meant Travis (she didn't want to throw him under the bus)

Puke.

I usually just follow the discussion threads, but I missed all the discussion threads since #41 because of a busy evening and day :what:

Is there a thread or blog or link that recaps each day of the trial so I can get the basics and interesting details without reading 6-7 threads? I don't mind the threads, I just know it'll be days before I'm up to date! :blushing:

Wow, she must be proud of her boy!

I wondered who she was as I'd not seen her there before and she wasn't interacting w/ the family at all yet sitting in that area.

Then after court was over , JM walked over to our area and pointed directly at her and gestured for her to go to the end of the row then was close talking with her. I then noticed the resemblance and thought "that's his Mom!" (she's also very petite and was with a 20 something looking gal who was also very petite...a daughter? niece?).

If I sit near her tomorrow I'll ask her. ;)

That's what I was thinking - if ever there was a time to be depressed and suicidal it would be now.
She is too much of a coward and narcissist to do any harm to herself.

And really, wouldn't the canteen (or whatever the little market is called in the jail) keep track of how much medicine an inmate is purchasing? Wouldn't you need ALOT of freaking Advil to do this? I assume they sell the little 2 pill packets - not entire bottles.

Jodi never wanted to die. People that want to kill themselves find a way. Psych patients have been known to hang themselves from objects only 8 inches above the floor. Psych patients have also been known to successfully lacerate arteries with plastic eating utensils, hence the reason the sporks must be counted after every meal.

Hey Everybody! I just watched this clip again - at the 3:50 mark --

THAT FINGER AIN'T BROKEN! She holds it up repeatedly when she gets animated and forgets she's pretending it should be bent

Fortunately NG picked up on that too on her show last night

http://www.hlntv.com/video/2013/02/14/jodi-arias-murder-trial-phone-sex-mash?clusterId=1303#videoplayer
Woah. i think her finger looks deformed in pretty much all of those takes and I think it is because her tendon was sliced while she was killing Travis. But boy-oh-boy was that a creepy compilation that shows her as the sociopath that she is!

Salt Lick is excellent BBQ! The one good thing I could say about Jodi was she seemed to always have a job, sometimes two. She just seemed to work somewhere then get distracted by a man or a vacation quit then work somewhere else.

mister nurse on the 25 cal gun

2) a 25 cannot be loaded and not chambered unless you have a magazine

3) to load and chamber a round would take a couple of seconds and you would have to know what you are doing (she claims to never have shot a gun iirc)

(mister nurse is an army officer)

Mister nurse says no way in hello did she have time (I told him the distance to the closet) be body slammed, recover from that, run to the closet, climb up, get the gun, load the gun/chamber the round and run back out and fire on Travis at that trajectory.

To me - this is HUGE

Because when I fired a gun for the first time in my life several years ago - I had to have an instructor walk me through the loading process and how to engage/disengage the safety - and in some cases many guns are different in how that works and where those levers are located.

No way in hell-o she figured all that out for the very first time in the 1:46 time lapse it took for her to drop the camera and shoot him. It would have taken me at least a minute or two to even figure out if the gun was even loaded had I never handled a gun before.

And in my opinion she paved the way for Juan by saying that instead of CHOOSING to go out the other door in the closet she CHOSE instead to grab a gun. That shows that her mind was set on killing him at that point -- because she already testified she had a choice. And at the moment she made that choice - Travis was NOT there, remember? According to her he was allegedly outside the door - so it's not self-defense when he is not right there in front of you and you're having to make a snap decision to kill someone.

She laid out her decision process in which she PREFERRED to kill him as opposed to fleeing.

I hope the jury sends her to a "better place"
