I'm just catching up on the trial testimony from today on Youtube, and I'm listening to the part where she explains why she didn't tell her parents:

1. Because if she said anything bad about him they would hate him forever.
2. Because she didn't want them to know she was there and involved.
3. Because of the shame of being in that kind of situation (not just the sex mind you, but just being in that "situation" - right).

She has added another "movie" to her litany. "The Secret", which is what she based her "Law of Attraction" post on her blog on. Anyone see that particular movie? I'm not familiar with it but this is from the website for the trailer........ "The Secret explains, with simplicity, the law that is governing all lives, and offers the knowledge of how to create - intentionally and effortlessly - a joyful life. This is The Secret to life."

Tell me how in the hello this has anything to do with why she didn't tell her parents she killed someone? Her explanation is that she didn't want to say anything "negative" about Travis to anyone, especially not now. That almost made me vomit given what she's been saying on the stand for the last two weeks.

This was one of the worst days yet for TA's family. I feel so bad for them, and I hope Juan gives them some satisfaction tomorrow when starts to unravel all of her testimony for what it is.....bullchit! :furious:

Caller on NG just posed a thought-provoking question:

How can JA claim SD if she can't remember what happened? Perhaps, during one of her 'blackouts', Travis was pleading for his life, had retreated, tried to hide, etc.

It's an interesting thought to toss around (my brain perked up anyway). Guessing it's not relevant, legally as a way to shatter her defense, but I'm intrigued nonetheless.

I suppose Juan Martinez could go through a series of questions about the actual killing, knowing all or most of her responses will be that she can't remember - over and over, setting her up for the next set of questions:


Well, if you can't remember what happened between (event) and (event), how do you know (contradictory event) didn't happen. He could ask as many of these questions as she answered "I don't remember"... One after the other.

That would be something to watch. I'm going to be riveted no matter what JM's questions are. I think he's amazing and I'm so curious to see what he'll do...

BBM TA took a lot of vacations with JA. She might have become obsessed with him but I do not get the impression it was because he was involved in Pre Paid Legal. From her testimony about her former boyfriends, I did not get the impression she was money hungry. I think she loved him and murdered him but I don't think it was because of his "larger lifestyle"'

I think it was both. She dumped her " love" of four years (who was struggling to find work to pay for their home) four days after meeting Travis. She was " in love" after less tan a week? Travs and Gus also made her believe she could sell ppl.

I just had the epiphany today that about Jodi dropping the camera and why that should make Travis mad.

Well I think she was taking those pics of him while he was quite unaware of her, he thought he had gotten rid of her. So she sneaks back in and is taking pics of him and drops the camera which he hears and exposes her presence there and THAT is when he saw that she was there and was quite justifiable pizzed that the stalker was back, invading his privacy once again.

So yeah, i know why he would be pizzed she dropped his camera. Because she wasn't even supposed to be there in the first place. How would you feel if you found someone stalking you in your bathroom taking pics of you as you showered. Oh I'd be furious and rightfully so. But that gives her NO right to claim self defense because she wasn't supposed to be there.

Then it just went downhill from there. She was sitting there (in his closet?), probably with the gun and the camera and the knife.

The victim had nearly bled out by the time that casing was spent and ejected.

Moreover, the autopsy findings note the absence of hemorrhaging at the site of the bullet wound.

All of the blood was on the tile floor and the carpet by the time she pulled the trigger.

I have to work afternoons so only get to see this at night on JVM and or NG....this is a small thing but here goes.....I wear glasses and when I cry my glasses get all smudgy wet, etc.....how can she cry and not have to remove those dang glasses? No wiping her eyes only her dang nose.:banghead:

Exactly! She testified that she found Travis's non-existent gun because she was standing up on the chair cleaning one time. In order to reach to the top of that shelf, by the ceiling, she would HAVE to use the chair again. Did she carefully put the chair back into the center of the closet after she got the gun?

BTW-I don't believe Travis had a gun in the closet to begin with. Just another lie.

ETA: I don't agree with the logic on the top posted picture. I'm a shot first girl myself.

Didn't Arias testify that she told the detective a story THAT MATCHED WHAT THE FORENSIC EVIDENCE WOULD SHOW?

Doesn't that mean she REMEMBERED the crime then and knew what the forensics would show?

And her ninja story of him crawling around on all fours screaming while his assailant stabbed him in the back is what she was doing to him.

Doesn't that completely nullify her memory loss claim?

I'm a stay at home mom that homeschools. My kid has been working so far ahead it's a little scary! He's also following the trial ( not everyday he watched detective Flores testimony) for a crime scene investigation class paper. He's also watching cross tomorrow. He watched about 15 minutes today and had to walk away!

Now I have a question ..Why are you guys assuming cross examine is tomorrow? The defense did not rest it's case today..so does that mean Juan will cross examine before defense ends case? I am so not schooled on how this court works! Thanks in advance for answer
