No one throws away exculpatory evidence ... or burns it .... or forgets where they put it ....

Exactly.

Travis' gun, Travis' knife.........yet nowhere to be found to trace back to Travis.

Good night everyone and enjoy the cross-examination tomorrow!

If JA was going to kill herself she would have written a 40 page suicide note, we all know she likes to use her words to manipulate! And she would have definitely testified about that being one of the preparations before committing suicide.. That chatty Kathy there's no way she actually was going to slice her wrists without writing a letter.. And she would be damn sure to talk about the letter for 30 mins in testimony, too!

Katiecoolest: any opinion or speculation as to why court ended early today and had a closed session with the jury still there??

Sent from my HTCEVOV4G using Tapatalk 2

Jury had left by the time she announced the closed session. I think it ended early for Juan to start with cross tomorrow and not just have a brief cross at the end of today. No idea what that closed door hearing was about but Bill was texting Beth K to find out. I'll utilize my sources tomorrow. ;)

And exactly how far away is this desert she woke up in from TA's house? Noone noticed a bloody woman driving a white car. How did she not get any on the OUTSIDE of the car getting in if she had blood all over her hands?

There is no way IMHO, It's June..doesn't it stay light well into the evening?

Kelly

Good points.

Well, I didn't know what he was going to do...But ah I shot him in the face. And you know, after I did that, he seemed really angry. And then, well then, I blacked out. I have no idea how I stabbed him 27 times, mostly in the back, oh - a few times really close to his heart and ah - I also chipped off a piece of his cranium - but I have no recollection of that. Someone told me that I dragged him back to the shower and cleaned him up and that I washed up the bathroom and threw some stuff in the wash...I heard about that later. Somehow, I don't know how because it's all a BLUR, but somehow, I took the gun and a piece of rope and some other stuff I had with me and I got out of there until I was in the middle of nowhere.

I do remember the price of gas when I was on that trip. Not much that has anything to do with how I came to almost decapitate a man that had made it clear he no longer wanted anything to do with me.

I think she is 150 percent guilty but I think her age will spare her the DP.

:floorlaugh: That gold panning story was the wrong kind of story to tell as a reason to buy a gun after you killed your ex bf. Come on, how are jurors suppose to develop any sympathy for her! The lies were so insulting.

I predicted she would get on the stand because she is pathologically fearless, but I thought she'd be a better liar and tell a more convincing story.

Maybe she'd watched a Gold Rush marathon used it as inspiration?? JMO

Prescription strength is often 800mg (four 200mg OTCs), every 6-8 hours although of course this can vary. I checked with a pharma friend that said it just depends on your height, weight, et cetera to successfully OD and most who take such large quantities damage themselves permanently more than death, although it can happen.

But did she get prescription strength in jail?

I was half joking because I do know it is possible to kill yourself with an OD of aspirin/ But often people throw much of it up. And you need to take a lot of them, and I doubt the jail allows them to have many at once.

Her finger isn't bent in this photo. She's a professional scammer.
Sorry but I think her finger is bent. Again, I think she incurred this injury while she was stabbing TA to death.

I am so sad and depressed tonight, and just can't wait until Juan gets ahold of her. I know I shouldn't let cases get to me like this - but this is gut-wrenching. For her to muddle her way out of the entire crime is disgusting. She should get the needle just for that.

Sorry - JMHO.

Was thinking about what someone else brought up earlier. About how one of the texts had Travis finally calling her a physcopath. And how this week the Hitchcock movie Phsyco is on.

I agree that the mean texts was where Jodi decided she was to go on a murder mission. Wondering if she made the connection to him calling her a physcopath and she decided she would be the true PHSYCO movie role in reverse and stab him in the shower area. Kind of like she maybe said to herself "I'll show you PHYSCHO".
She then brings the gun to ensure she can successfully stab him.

I just cant get over the number of stab wounds and wonder if she planned the stabbing part out too and wonder if she made the movie connection beforehand as part of her plan. Especially if other people in her life had called her a phsycopath.
Remember other woman had recognized her as strange and someone to stay away from, so I wont doubt if she had been called a phsycopath before in her life before Travis called her that. It may have been a sore spot for her because she may have realized she really was one.

Or the rope she claims to have tossed into a dumpster somewhere near St. George (Utah). :what:

I can only imagine. I closed my eyes a few times to just shut it out. Today was just horrible imo. Her utter LIES and then the pedo stuff...she just keeps going and going and going...poor travis, he was living in a mine field . Of course he knew it too but had no idea the real danger he was in. Such is the damage that sociopaths leave in their wake.

LOCK THIS DEMON UP ALREADY.

When I saw his poor sister break down and JA kept spewing more of her downright filth......I had to shut off the tv and just read along here. For awhile.

Then I just had to go away for a couple hours.

Yelling to just Please Make It Stop wasn't helping anymore.

She remembered what kind of drink she had and that it was still hot what 20 freaking years ago-but Not What She Did to TA in the most important testimony of the entire trial. BSSSSSSSSS meter went over the top and then down the other side!

I think she is 150 percent guilty but I think her age will spare her the DP.

This is why I think they will follow through with the DP.

They will be given distinct instructions about the requirements for that sentence.

If you find x...y...z...then the correct sentence to impose is death.

They will easily line this crime up with cruel, heinous and depraved.

Then they will hear aggravating and mitigating circumstances.

IMO there are not enough objective mitigating circumstances to outweigh those they will have identified as cruel heinous and depraved.

It's almost like a mathmatical equation. It's not subjective really.

They'd have to really like her or feel sorry for her or worry about children she doesn't have or whatever to outweigh the math on the sentencing guidelines. It's so textbook for this sentence and there is very very little mitigation.

KatieCool,

I noticed Beth and some others in the back are wearing headphones while listening to and taking notes about the testimony. What is being played that they are listening to?

Re: the Hoover Dam...

It has been nore than a month since JM layed out her road trip details so I am having a hard time remembering his version (or the evidence's version) of her route to and from Az,

My question is: wouldn't she be stopped and questioned abiut her license plate at the Hoover Dam checkpoint? They would at least mention it to her, no? Maybe instead she tripped up through Paige. Lots of lonely desert up that way.

gosh pray-tell I hope not. There's a special place in hell for the likes of Jodi Arias. Like the top shelf.

Lol...she testified today she cut her fingers breaking a glass in Travis's kitchen! He called her a klutz...

Couldn't have happened in that horrible stabbing she has no memory of :banghead:

I think her entire defense has been based on tv, films she has seen in jail!

  • #640
I am not convinced yet that she will get DP, even though I think she deserves it. I am convinced of LWOP. No life of normalcy for Jodi. Some form of justice IMO.

With LWOP she would have a life of normalcy for jail. On DR she would almost never see anyone ever. Far better punishment for a narcissistic socio/psychopath who absolutely leaches on to people and drains the life from them.
