Just an observation from re-watching yesterday's testimony...

During Jodi's description of the events of June 4 she told a story of TA 'spinning her around' and basically raping her from behind. I believe that was in the morning testimony.

In the afternoon testimony the following exchange occurred beginning at 45:42 of the linked video:

N:Were you in a state of mind where you could have told Dt Flores everything? The sex, the lurid sexual interest, the lurid sexual behavior. Did you want to tell him about that?
A:No way, he's mormon, it's just all the more shameful.
N: What about Travis? Did you still want to protect him, his memory?
A: I was very concerned about both of our reputations and I didn't want to start throwing him under the bus, I didn't want to say negative things about him now because there were a lot of people already hurting and I didn't see what benefit it would be to talk about any of those things.
N: What do you mean what benefit? What benefit to whom?
A: To anybody, it would just cause more pain, um, it would just, there was no...I didn't see what benefit it would be to anybody to talk about these things now, I mean this is stuff that Travis didn't want anyone to know about, these are things I didn't want to tell anybody about. Um, I certainly didn't want to tell Dt. Flores about all the times that he was violent because then I thought that they would think that that would be motive and I didn't want...Travis and I were...I considered us friends and when he got that way he got that way and then we got over it and I didn't.....I wanted to portray the appearance that he and I were friends, which we were when we were getting along we were just fine and then....like that whole day was fineand then he just flipped.

Now, I would like to ask my fellow sleuthers...if you were raped from behind, would you categorize any portion of the day that happened to you to be 'fine'? She forgot her story for a brief moment. I hope Juan caught it.

Oh! I know! Maybe she thought the bullets would be a great gift for her mother! That would explain the box of .25 ammo found at Mom's house... (eye roll).

This comment just flashed a light-bulb moment for me.

I've been banging my head :banghead:, trying to figure out how the defense will explain away (or not) how JAs grandparents have a .25 caliber gun stolen (all other guns untouched), TA had a bullet-wound from a .25 caliber gun (which is missing from the scene), and a box of .25 ammo was found in JA's mother's house (yet, no .25 gun) durig the LE search?

The one thing in common with these three incidents is JODI! Obviously! But, here's where my headbanging comes in...BUT, she has now denied stealing her grandparents gun, shooting TA with a .25 gun, and getting rid of the weapon. So, how is she going to explain the box of ammo at her mothers? I'm certain Juan will ask about it; and no doubt Nurmi knows this.

It just hit me how this will be answered, by Jodi. (Since we are all questioning why no ammo to match the gun that JA accused TA of having?) She will say that box of ammo was Travis's She had it in her car (or on her person) after she came to and realized she killed TA. She doesn't remember, exactly, what she did with the knife and gun; but (she said memories of that day does come back to her, "in bits and pieces") she had a realization of what she had just done when she found the ammo.

This was after she got rid of the gun and knife (her "amnesia" period); so she only realized it after finding the box of ammo in her car.

So, see? There is/ an explanation after all, for LE not finding any ammo at TA's house.

If this theory is correct, then I believe her mother is helping her with the cover up. It wasn't by happenstance the LE just so happened to find a box of ammo, without a gun, at her mother's house. It was there, ON PURPOSE!

Oh, yes, I forgot about that act of violence, the throwing of the CD.

She's losing it and when confronted with these discrepancies she isn't going to know what the heck to say.

While I don't want this trial dragged on for too much longer (for the sake of the jurors) I do hope that Juan keeps her in the hot seat for at least as 1/2 as long as Nurmi gave her to tell her lies...er..story. I really hope it is Juan's intention to go over every ounce of her testimony starting 3 weeks back with her very first comment about killing Travis. And I hope he hits on basically every single point testified to by Nurmi....er...asked of her by Nurmi throughout her entire testiphoney.

Someone on another thread mentioned the movie the ringer re: the scratched cd and now when anyone mentions that thats all I see. Cant help but laugh. If I don't I shall cry

So basically, she was running from a naked Travis, but instead of running out the door and screaming for help or yelling fire or banging on someone's door, she ran in the opposite direction for a gun, then grabbed a knife, though she conveniently forgets about that.

Even if I were to presume Travis had a gun, even if I presume her story is true it still doesn't add up to self defense. Jodi also said "who knows" what Travis would do, and she never said she feared for her life. She was clothed; he wasn't. She could have ran out of the house screaming for help. She decided to run the other way <--- there's the premeditation - to grab a gun and shoot him.

The term "scamming" seems to be used relating to financial things...

I saw somewhere on thread here that JA was kiting or floating money writing checks from account to account.. Perhaps she wrote him bad checks ($699 & $200). JMO

Maybe she wrote "bad checks" one to many times to TA or it caused a financial issue for him & that's what caused the prompt to the text msgs?? JMO

I think there may very well be something like this to her motive. This has crossed my mind a few times.

here's a guy that she said wouldn't even kiss her after oral sex, yet she wants us to believe that after their day of sex and games, he just lays around on the pc looking at pics then decides that he is gonna have vaginal sex with her again four hours later without a shower in between......I don't buy it....I think she left and came back when he was in the shower...he had no clue she was there....MO

Agree - also think that after this 'visit' from JA and after their 'day of sex' Travis told JA not to come back he was done with her and this incited her rage killing.

She couldn't let go she had been thinking about his rejection for a long time and this spider returned, killed her victim, and went on her merry way.

I would still like to know where she got the key to lock the bedroom door.....and I know this may sound silly to some...but the one lie that I want to hear Juan get her on is when she was with one of the Tom Dick or Harry's (can remember which now) and she went back to the library and just 'HIT THE BACK BUTTON"...I about fell out of my chair on that one....I think this is about the time she started to lose the jury....
