Good morning all - I havent caught up yet (doubt I will) but I saw this on Travis' memorial page and wanted to repost here for all his (and Juan's) supporters! This will be in my siggy ASAP!

I am SO excited for today. :great: I didnt call in, but I should have... :banghead:

Thank you so much for posting this pic. It is so easy to forget during JA marathon testifying the reason we are here. Juan will not let Jodi get away with anymore lies let alone the murder of this man. Will be praying for some kind of peace for the Alexander family.

well, that didn't last long, I can no longer listen to JA's trying to speak as though she is a victim. I'm just going to read here, well until it's time for Juan Martinez, hopefully today.

Did anyone else feel this way at the end of the day yesterday? I felt extremely sad. I know Jodi is guilty and I guess for the first time in my life I experienced seeing a psychopath. But I didn't feel good about it. It was like her body is a shell and there is nothing inside.
I always hope somehow that when someone commits a horrendous crime that the person feels remorse and sorrow for their victim and that after many years incision they will repent. I just saw nothing that made me feel she would/could ever have the ability to do that. I don't wish to understand insanity/psychopathy/psychiatry. I just wish she had something inside her that was sorry for all she has done to Travis, his family, his friends, and her own family. This is all very, very sad and heartbreaking. She must be kept away from society, even the general population in prison could be in danger from her.

Sorry....I meant in prison....not incision. Typo.

OMG! Pappacito's catered our wedding! We had a true Tex Mex wedding in Austin: rehearsal dinner at the Salt Lick, wedding catered by Pappacito's! :great:

Your son made twice what I made last year and I have two degrees and 15 years experience! Lol! :thud:

THUD

Those are 2 of my Top 10 favorite places here in Central TX!!!

You did it up right......................and now I'm craving BBQ.......sigh.....

The absolute nerve and gall of her to talk about how much the little razor cut hurt when she had planned to slit her wrists, so she didn't go forward with her plan. It...hurt...too...much???? And Travis's family had to sit there and listen to that. OMG.

This "woman" went through a lot of trouble planning this murder, at least a week before it happened. She could even stomach having sex with the man she planned on killing (even wearing braids to help seduce him). Only a monster would be capable of such a thing. There's no way that Jodi feels any remorse. Like Travis told her, she's a sociopath and she cries only for herself.

Wet bare feet are heard as 'footsteps'? She began to unravel yesterday. Her lies just cannot match the evidence of the murder scene, hence the 'big gap' now.

I have a couple of questions for those familiar with the ownership of hand guns.

1. Would you say a .25mm would be the weapon of choice for a guy like Travis, as protection against home intruders?

2. Assuming it was in his home for protection, wouldn't his nightstand be a more typical place to keep it than the top shelf of a closet?

1. IMO - no. Not enough stopping power.

2. I can't imagine keeping it on a top shelf in the closet. I keep mine on the night stand. (no drawer) I have one in the chamber at all times, too. BUT - I have no children in the house, and almost never have reason for children to be in my house.

TA didn't seem like the type to worry about protection/guns. Sounds like he was comfortable just leaving doors unlocked, and didn't worry about intruders.

just want to apologize in advance of any off color jokes I may make today. I use humor as a coping mechanism and sometimes people take offense. Sometimes when faced with great horror I will make a joke to alleviate some stress. By reading here I think I have seen some like-minded individuals.

This feels like the calm before a storm. Juan Martinez is going to show that he is a force to be reckoned with.

I don't think he will come out blazing as we all suspect. He will not have to work too hard because she has already supplied herself with a one way ticket to the big house. I think it would be to his advantage to not be too aggressive. JMO

My :twocents:

1. A .25mm would not be my first choice for personal protection. Not that it isn't a deadly weapon, but I prefer something with a little more fire power.

2. People with children in the home are more likely to keep their firearm in a place where kids don't have access (high shelf/safe).

I don't believe Travis owned a gun (according to close friends). But if he did, my guess is it would be a larger caliber. It is possible he would keep it in a closet or drawer.

Nothing Jodi says or does will undo what's already done. Paraphrasing her defense testimony. She is guilty by her own admission. To what degree, the jury will decide.

For the sake of the healing of Family and other of Travis' loved ones, I hope she tells the truth at some point. It will be extremely painful, but is necessary to begin the process.

As much as I hate to acknowledge it, Jodi's Family has a lot of accepting and processing to do as well. Many years they ignored her 'quirks' not accepting, recognizing or understanding what they saw could be dangerous. I don't hold them responsible for the choices Jodi makes.

A completed death penalty brought me no closure. The victim was not returned to me. The hole in my heart/life was not suddenly filled. Crime has not abated. The only people affected as far as I can see is the Family and loved ones of the executed individual.

Blessed be the Family of Travis. He is without a doubt loved and greatly missed.

I lost track of how many times Jodi intended to kill herself :what:

I got the app from the Google play store...then searched for AZcentral within the app.

It works great on my android, but you may have to also download the flash player (it will prompt you to do that if you need to).

Been watching the trial on my phone all week, it's awesome!

(it is a battery killer though, make sure you have a charger available, and earbuds/headset to listen with)

Ty!!! i found wild about trial app too but we will see which works better. it will be tricky since i technically cant have a phone out on the floor...for good reason. lots of bathroom breaks!

JA's testimony yesterday was ludicrous. She said that TA was a wrestler in high school and came at her like a linebacker...basically grabbing her at the waist and performing a double leg take down, slamming her against the tile. Based on my experience with MMA and wrestling techniques, this would have, at the very least, knocked the wind out of JA if not knocked her completely out. She would have also had some bruising to her back given the force that would have been exerted by TA, but we all know that didn't happen so...

It was incredibly frustrating hearing her talk about the gap and not remembering anything after the gun accidentally went off. Just setting up her responses when JM grills her about the actual murder timeframe.

Not to mention that if he had his hands around her waist - she was able to stretch the gun far enough away to not leave gun powder residue on his head.

Far reaching defense alright!

i hope juan asks her if 'responsible gun owners' keep their guns under the hood in the car engine.

i think that's a really good question!
