:floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I gotta use the Jodi formula :waitasec:

2+2 = he abused me because i scratched his CD so i had to stab him 29 times slit his throat so i just about decapitated him and then for good measure i shot him in the head
that formula:waitasec::waitasec::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

he said he had no more questions

(he will get a chance to redirect after cross)

I personally do not think he will find any benefit whatsoever in calling her again but that is :twocents::moo::twocents::moo::twocents:

I sure hope you are right. I just dont trust him and I dont see what would prevent him from doing what Juan did with Flores.

I think he will do anything to stall this much anticipated cross.

IMO

I personally believe she never tried to kill herself. She thinks way to much of herself and only herself.

Nothing Jodi says or does will undo what's already done. Paraphrasing her defense testimony. She is guilty by her own admission. To what degree, the jury will decide.

For the sake of the healing of Family and other of Travis' loved ones, I hope she tells the truth at some point. It will be extremely painful, but is necessary to begin the process.

As much as I hate to acknowledge it, Jodi's Family has a lot of accepting and processing to do as well. Many years they ignored her 'quirks' not accepting, recognizing or understanding what they saw could be dangerous. I don't hold them responsible for the choices Jodi makes.

A completed death penalty brought me no closure. The victim was not returned to me. The hole in my heart/life was not suddenly filled. Crime has not abated. The only people affected as far as I can see is the Family and loved ones of the executed individual.

Blessed be the Family of Travis. He is without a doubt loved and greatly missed.

no matter what happens....nothing can bring him back...regardless of sentance.

Seriously Sleuths - does Juan even need to cross?

What does he need to say? JA did it all for him. Even untrained folks here can itemize the list of JA inconsistencies she has testified to. Not being flippant.

I really don't think he needs to. But I WANT to see her fall to pieces on that stand under JM's expert dissection of her lies.

Great fun on InSession this AM! Mike Brooks is hosting and he's a real rip in this case.

BTW, I know some, if not all of you have a semi-broken thanks button. A lot of times, you get a message that you have to click on and it doesn't "take." In order to thank the post, one has to refresh.

I am not doing that during the testimony because it slows me down and I can't keep up no matter what!

So, in advance,:gthanks: to everyone I can't thank! What a great bunch of peeps! :thewave:

Woke up this morning with a smile, will be wonderful not hearing " so, let me ask you this....." or, " how did that make you feel ?" will probably take a few days for those words to quit bouncing around my noggin.

i hope juan asks her if 'responsible gun owners' keep their guns under the hood in the car engine.

i think that's a really good question!

Imagine - you shot someone in the head and a couple of weeks later you quite happily go buy a gun. This gun, supposedly, was to protect her from a group of 'men' she was going camping with in the wilds. Only gal. Say much about her?

Good morning! Just have to run this by you all.....I may have dreamed it! Didn't JA state that the last thing she remembers is the gun going off? Then she remembers nothing else until she "comes to" driving down the road with blood on her hands? I swear I heard her testify that she remembers putting the knife in the dishwasher. Did I just imagine that or was that a major slip up on her part? :waitasec:

Yes, she did say that. But, she says she has put the knife in thw dishwasher before so she doesn't know if it was a memory from the murder day or another. But, then she says she's pretty sure it's from the murder day.

i think it would be a huge mistake not to cross examine her. it's his one chance to ask her questions. it's rare for a prosecutor to get this opportunity and he must use it to nail down his case against her.

what will be wonderful for today will be that Juan will not let her drone on and on. He will provide the statement and she answers yes or no.

I predict a LOT of interrupting by Arias today and a lot of "just answer the question... yes or no...."

BBM: I agree ...

JMO but her DT should have INSISTED that she NOT take the stand -- I know, she has the "right" to take the stand ... but they should have known that Jodi was going to be a DISASTER on the stand -- and she was!

Jodi HERSELF was the worst witness in her defense !

Also, her attorney should have repeatedly told her NOT to give unnecessary answers, unnecessary details, what she had for dinner, who she next to ... blah blah blah ..

And they really should have limited those totally unnecessary sexual questions and details  ... THAT made her [and her DT] really look like fools, as well as desperate !

I understand this is a death penalty case and the "latitude" allowed, it was overboard and a MOCKERY of the judicial system !

Just all my :twocents: FWIW ... LOL !

I predict a LOT of interrupting by Arias today and a lot of "just answer the question... yes or no...."

And I hope this time the judge reprimands her to 'just answer yes or no' - as many times as necessary, and in front of the jury.

Great catch. Her testimony was that she remembered nothing after the gun shot. Nothing AT ALL about the stabbing, slashing. Then she remembered putting the heinous weapon in the dishwasher.

OMG

Good Morning Everyone! Happy Juan Day!

Awhile back someone had posted a link to watch Trutv live feed on the computer... would anyone have that link handy? Trying to google and I keep running across spam-y sites. TIA!

defense has allot invested in this, they will be protecting JA every chance they get, lots of side bars coming up, not going to let her get talked into answers, answers will be slow and verbous to keep prosecution from gaining speed.

JM will not allow Jodi to control the questioning. If she heads down that road he will ask for a quick yes or no. She's already talked about everything under the sun for the past two weeks. I'm thinking it will be you said .... Was this true? Conflicting statements, he will play the videos. Juan does not have to go over every detail, just the lies he knows she has told. Five or six of them in a row should do it. Basically, were you lying then or now, or still? Why should the court believe anything you claim.

Frankly I think she would have had a better chance with the jury had she told the truth about killing Travis. I think she should have admitted to bringing the knife and gun. It's possible she may have changed her mind about killing him, only she knows, and then something set her off again. I can see why her cellmates have sympathy for her. There is something seriously wrong with her but letting her go will never solve her problems. The very fact she had a gun and some knives and that she expressed she might use the gun again shows she has no problem killing. She is a very sad person. jmo

IMO no self respecting man would own just a 25. handgun. Especially for protection. A 25. is more suitable for a womans use. Small, light and no kick. A man would own a 38, 45 or 9mm.

A gun used for protection would have to be kept close. Certainly not on the top shelf of your closet. I doubt Travis could reach the top shell so what's the use?

Disagree with the "no kick" comment. Small, light handguns have some of the most uncomfortable recoils due to the small size, light weight, and less metal to absorb the explosion. The smaller handguns fit a woman's hand better, and they are easier to conceal carry, but they are not easy or "fun" to shoot.

That said, I agree that a .25 would not be the weapon of choice for most buyers for home protection. It's not a common size. And the small slug is more easily deflected by clothing, etc. It is not as easy to shoot accurately (due to the short barrel and big recoil) for an inexperienced shooter beyond a few feet, so for that reason alone, it might not be the best home protection weapon.
