I think he was purposely copying Jodi because Jodi wears fake glasses and cant read with the fake glasses. So now Nurmi has to do the same so the Jury doesnt think it is fake glasses on Jodi.

Man, the games the defense is playing. Hope Jury is waking up to it.

I think, but could be wrong, he was trying to point out that Jodi has been accustomed to the good life for the better part of her life. And that I think she felt entitled to it. It was part of the reason, I believe, that she couldn't let go of Travis. Travis could have provided her the life she was accustomed to living with her parents.

As soon as she met him she stopped contributing financially to the household bills. She was trading UP

Regarding her dad's restaurant and my take on it....

I distinctly remember her saying her dad's restaurant closed prior to her moving out of their family home. He brought dishes home and she took them when she went to Johnny's (what the heck is his name?) house and lived with his old "parents." So, if that's true, her dad didn't own a restaurant when she was working at Ventana.

I know the evidence against Jodi is so overwhelming that JM can probably barely contain himself. And I know there is a brilliant method to all this madness...

but....

he needs to keep in mind that he is presenting all this evidence to some jurors that probably aren't very sophisticated. I can easily see him losing some of the jurors today. I'm sure the jumping around was to keep JA on her toes, but at the end of the day you must make a clear, compelling and easy to understand case to those members of the jury.

On her way to kill ... Implies that's the purpose of the trip. That's the states stance. The defense claims she didn't even intend to visit Travis, let alone kill him.

Did he ask if it was hers? I missed that. You could tell by the way she kept trying to harp on the fact that they were out of her control from the time that she left her cell with them until the time the guards were meant to hand them over to Campbell that she was trying to formulate the "mean guards trying to set me up" lie, but I never heard JM ask her specifically if it was her handwriting so she never got the chance to try to offer up that BS.

Could a psychologist claim that she has PTSD from the trauma she incurred as a result of her abuse by everyone under the sun? And that the PTSD has scued her ability to recall events? Just wondering. TIA

I don't know if they will use PTSD or battered girlfriend syndrome or some kind of rage? I think that self defense if not going to work and I have not seen any signs of abuse, so I don't even know what the defense is.

I would like to, most respectfully, state my opinion - and base it off of the years that I have sat in a courtroom (in my years as a legal research paralegal and Assistant State's Attorney in Cook County) and throughout those years, I have watched hundreds of various courtroom doings: Trials, motion hearings, etc.

I have watched many experienced, proficient, detailed attorneys - and, conversely, I've watched bumbling, mentally stumbling, weak attorneys, as well. (Speaking of masterful, I must include Jim Glasgow, who had the pleasure of nailing Drew Peterson to a cross.) I process my research, I run for papers, I offer reports and details.

And...I watch.

Throughout all these years, I've learned quite a thing or two about rushing to judgment. I have learned to wait, and see: To watch, and learn. I've been literally schooled in the art of cross-examination by some of the best, in my opinion - and I learned all this by RUSHING to judgment, by dismissing out-of-hand the possibility that the attorney who was, seemingly, disjointed...really had a plan. That he or she really knew what they were doing.

I've been wrong. But I learned my lesson.

So now, I watch. I reserve judgment.

But I do have a sneaking suspicion that Juan isn't nearly done. That this IS going according to his layout, his plan - and that we will see that play out before he is done.

Ok, so can y'all help me list all the lies that were exposed today?

Here's what I remember:

1. Her finger wasn't really hurt by Travis
2. The "pedophile" confrontation really didn't happen on Jan 21 (didn't happen at all)
3. Travis wasn't barraging her with phone calls after on the alleged ped confrontation day
4. Exchanging cars didn't happen on the day she said it did
5. Matt was not really her boyfriend when she stalked his new girlfriend
6. She omitted information about her pre-murder trip through California -- she spent the night with Matt on June 2
7. She tried to influence witness testimony through coded messages, and apparently lied to her attorneys
8. She enjoyed the sex adventures, contrary to her prior testimony
9. She told her DV expert Travis was looking at pedo pics on the computer and changed her story after she found out there was no computer evidence

What else?

Doesn't quite meet the test of 'exposed', but... He deposited money into her account, and she admitted he loaned her money whenever she needed it.
