Every time she said, "that's NOT correct" I wanted to scream!!!! It was so obviously she was just being difficult for her own kicks!

She couldn't even answer questions about the time as she was staring straight at the times without hesitating and acting like she wasn't sure.

I don't know if Juan meant to expose that obnoxiously argumentative side of her or not, but it made her look very bad and not credible. It was like she wanted to lie about everything, even the time of a phone call that was staring her in the face.

And she kept asking which date. Which date?! It's the next effing phone entry 3 minutes after the one we just talked about, you bizarre and unstable freak! I know you want to lie about something right here, JA, but you'll get your chance in a second *rolls eyes*

I didn't see any of the trial today and tried to view it objectively tonight even though I'd read some of the comments throughout the day. I think the cross sucked, even accounting for my distaste for Juan. It sucked beyond my wildest expectations. I posted last night, I thought he would focus on the premeditation and proving her lies with the CLEAR and OBVIOUS recorded interviews. I'm mind blown and now understanding while he's still an ADA.

1)- It's not over yet 2)- keep in mind, this ADA put a woman on Death Row in Arizona for murdering her husband.

I posted last night, I thought he would focus on the premeditation and proving her lies with the CLEAR and OBVIOUS recorded interviews. I'm mind blown and now understanding while he's still an ADA.

It's just a few hours into his cross. He has seven days of information to tear apart. There is no doubt that it will get ugly when he gets to the day of the murder. I'm sure he has Travis's family in mind. He can't let them down and that's a big burden on his shoulders.

It was lovely. Really. It put me to shame (as an attorney conducting cross).

Remember, he really doesn't expect to get certain answers from her. He knows she is going to lie. He got precisely what he wanted. He illustrated her lies, totally impeached her testimony and got her to show her true colors - a creepy, smirky, arrogant, murderous brat.

She had to qualify or correct or tweak EVERY single answer. She could not just answer simply in the affirmative. It was so obnoxious and immature.

I have to wonder if Juan bringing up the photo of the finger and challenging her will make her self-conscious in the future. She talks so much with her hands. If she is forced to be aware of her "bent" finger all the time it may make it tougher for her to try to stay a step ahead with her next lie.

I give him kuddos for breaking through her soft spoken, terrified kitten ( I meant puppy) demeanor in such a short time. I think she is convinced she's running the show, but to me, the jury has all weekend to comprehend her smirk after she told Juan his demenor frightened her.

Frightened her enough to lose her memory! :floorlaugh:

The whole finger conversation is driving me nuts. She is so obsessed over her finger....two cut fingers...or whatever. It's like she is trying to turn it all back on herself and toy with Juan...so strange to me. I don't know why she keeps having to interject "you mean this finger?" Just...ugh.

Nurmi looks goofy in his glasses. Oy. He also looks like he is like 6'5 and Juan is like 5'9. Big whoop...I just think it is funny to see them next to each other.

I'm sure he'll get to the premeditation in his closing. Right now what he's doing is disproving her lies told during the defense's direct, and that needs to be done. She told these unbelievable stories with nothing to back them up, and he has proof that what she says is pure unadulterated bullchit. She wasn't satisfied with taking this man's life because she was insanely obsessed with him, she raked his character and reputation over the coals.

I don't think it sucked at all. JM pointed out a LOT of contradictions in her testimony. And it's early in his cross....he has miles to go yet.

Travis is not a pedophile but if he was and that's the worse thing he did, pedophiles wouldn't be a problem IMO.

I've seen posters say it's similar, but I'm not seeing it. The defendant in that case victimized an incapacitated cancer victim whom she was in complete physical control of for a clear financial motive. Not an able bodied guy who was using her for sex and she with no obvious motive other than, possibly, jealousy. Worlds apart, imo
