The coded message to Matt McCartney (presumably) in the magazine has been bothering me all day. I wish I had a screencap of it to post, but most of us saw it. The thing that really stood out to me was how she talked to him and ordered him around, i mean the "you ****ed up...", "get down here ASAP", "we can still fix this".

Hmmmm... "we"?

What is the deal with this guy? And in my opinion, there is one.

He was an ex boyfriend (by years). They had not been married, I mean they were actually only together for what, barely 2 years. She is in jail on first degree murder charges and by 2012 had told three different stories of what happened. Why is this guy doing ANYTHING she demands? Especially the way she is talking to him. Wouldn't you at least be nice and loving towards someone you were trying to manipulate to break the law for you? Talk about a bully... that message was all bully.

I hope we find out soon.

I forget, who was it Jodi said was courting her?
I was laughing so hard over that word "courting" that I missed the facts.

Cracking up at Juan speaking exaggeratedly softly after Jodi said her brain gets scrambled when he talks loud.

It was lovely. Really. It put me to shame (as an attorney conducting cross).

Remember, he really doesn't expect to get certain answers from her. He knows she is going to lie. He got precisely what he wanted. He illustrated her lies, totally impeached her testimony and got her to show her true colors - a creepy, smirky, arrogant, murderous brat.
gitana...congrats for a job well done!
A convicted felon...or someone who was jailed within a year of the intended visit...can't see a prisoner, correct?
Just trying to figure out how AC was able to visit Jodi. Something tells me that the there is more to this than meets the eye. Her visit would definitely be "noteworthy". She obviously knew what was coming. jmo

I thought it was absolutely brilliant the way Juan gained control of her. IMO he came out swinging and random disjointed order because he knew she wouldn't be able to remember what she previously said on the stand. Liars can't remember unless the story is linear. Only the truth can be told in any random order.

Then, knowing she's a psychopath and incapable of accepting responsibility he asked her what HER problem was with her memory. She blames his screaming and grilling her, the tone and demeanor. Immediately he lowers his voice and changes his tone.

She still can't remember because she's a liar left without an excuse! She then pokes her chin out in defiance! She thinks she won and smugly starts answering his yes no questions!

It was spectacular!

Tootsie pops and pop rocks convo....wow...she is trying hard to manipulate that testimony...damn. Her real self is just downright...wow. So different than a man version of her...I wish I was taking abnormal psych right now in school, she would be very interesting to study.

She had to qualify or correct or tweak EVERY single answer. She could not just answer simply in the affirmative. It was so obnoxious and immature.

Wouldn't her lawyer tell her not to act like that, or does he hate her like everyone else.
Did he coach her to behave like someone who everyone will hate even more with that smug, I am better than thou attitude.

That's too bad, I like Mark. Maybe he just doesn't understand, hasn't gotten himself in sync with Juan's brilliant, strategic mind.

He also hasn't watched the entire trial so far

I was working while listening, so I was only partially paying attention. I remember her saying that BS, but heard about the rest on Dr. Drew. The other Katie said that a few jurors LAUGHED when JM did that!! She said one of the guys put his notepad over his face!

At one point...she was talking about Travis.

Welcome back she's coming, she's having drinks (maybe dinner) with some friends and then said she would be here. I can't wait either.

I'm sure he'll get to the premeditation in his closing. Right now what he's doing is disproving her lies told during the defense's direct, and that needs to be done. She told these unbelievable stories with nothing to back them up, and he has proof that what she says is pure unadulterated bullchit. She wasn't satisfied with taking this man's life because she was insanely obsessed with him, she raked his character and reputation over the coals.

I don't think it sucked at all. JM pointed out a LOT of contradictions in her testimony. And it's early in his cross....he has miles to go yet.

My opinion is what I said last night, that his cross would be succinct and not focused on various small examples of her lying when there are huge examples and horrific crime scene photos. Imo, he is coming across as the overzealous "true believer" that I thought he might. Rather than the rational person who can discredit the witness in 25 words or less. In this case, you shouldn't have to work so hard if you're the prosecutor. jmo...a thousand times..jmo

I absolutely believe that it is necessary to the Defense to destroy the vile, violent, pedophile image that JA has painted about TA for the lies that they are. I read on other boards besides just here, and the number of people that were willing to cut JA slack for killing him because he was such a bad person, just shocked me. It was like people thought she did a good thing by killing him. They bought all of JA lies and Juan is now proving that they are LIES so that the real Travis can be seen.

Travis needs to have his reputation back and his name cleared with the ridiculous pedophiles allegations. When it's over... No one should be left with doubt that he wasnt Travis deserves no less.

"If it was so noteworthy [speaking about the alleged pedophilic activity of Travis], how could you not remember what time it occurred?"

bingo! i think jm did a fine job with that line of questions. her details will trip her up. she remembered every thing else but not time of day. and jm proved she lied about how ta kept calling her. i was smiling during that exchange.:moo:
