Oh goodness, I'm at the part where, after jodi testifies that Travis made a barrage of calls to her (to discuss being caught being a pedophile) and she can't find anything!!!! Oh, this is magnificent!!!

As a verified attorney did you find her to be credible today? out of 100% where would you place her credibility so far? Do her answers ring true to you when confronted with the evidence presented?

That's exactly what I mean. None of that PROVES anything in court. It gives the jury a reason to believe it or not, but it's not proof. He's got blatant lies on tape, but he's choosing to spend hours trying to discredit minor bs that he can't possibly disprove. jmo

I don't think her pedophile accusations are minor BS. I think he did a lot of damage to the defense today. I don't think the jury believes that she went to his house and caught him looking at those kiddie pix that afternoon. And that is HUGE, mo.

The jury already knows about those blatant lies on tape. And I am sure he will use them quite often. But she has excuses for a lot of those lies. The jury understands she was lying to the cops to cover up her presence there. So they might cut her slack.

But Juan was going after the NEW lies--the ones she manufactured just for this trial. And I think he scored big time. They doubt her fabrication about him kicking her finger now. And that was one of their main examples of prior abuse. And they doubt the pedo accusation. Another major blow to their defense. And he began laying the foundation for her stalkerish behavior and her jealousy. Her unannounced visits and her anger issues are going to be a central theme.

I think he rocked. He brought out her creepy, sociopathic personality. It was all there for the jury to see. No more innocent, battered fragile little girl, looking embarrassed. She was in his face today and loving every minute of it. He might as well have placed the knife in her hand today she was so seething and angry. :furious:

She was crazy in love with him for sure and he had a lust for her. I don't think Jodi knows that lust and love are not the same thing.

She is a psychopath and is not capable of feeling love for another. She is only concerned with her self and her well being. Others are mere objects she can move around and control like furniture.

Thank you. She met this person while she was in jail? Do you know if there were recorded jail conversations? I used to smuggle "contraband" (lol) to my son inside magazines when he was away at summer camp. But, I would let him know to expect it when we spoke on the phone.

I didn't see any of the trial today and tried to view it objectively tonight even though I'd read some of the comments throughout the day. I think the cross sucked, even accounting for my distaste for Juan. It sucked beyond my wildest expectations. I posted last night, I thought he would focus on the premeditation and proving her lies with the CLEAR and OBVIOUS recorded interviews. I'm mind blown and now understanding while he's still an ADA.

Isn't the DA - District Attorney an elected public position - voted on by the cititizens?

Your statement "while he's still an ADA" makes it appear to me - that you might be suggesting Mr. Juan Martinez might be lacking in some way because he's "simply an Assistant District Attorney" rather than a "full-blown District Attorney." Am I mis-reading your post?
Perhaps, Mr. Martinez simply doesn't choose to run for a public office?

I don't know why he's still an ADA, but his performance today made me wonder. Seems to me that he does enjoy it. Most attorneys with his number of years of experience would not be in his position. So either he does it for his druthers or hasn't been able to work himself up and out of it. One thing I know is that it's a lot of work for not a lot of remuneration. So he's either doing it out of passion for the job or because his choices are limited. I don't pretend to know which. That said, I thought the cross today was really, really bad.

She said about the messages in the magazines, "This was one of the most powerful moments in court. I've known about this for a couple of years because this came out in some of the earlier hearings. But these messages were written in pencil basically in the margins of a Star [sic] magazine and what testimony showed today [was] that she was trying to attempt to have these jailhouse messages smuggled out of the jail, delivered to her ex-boyfriend....How this relates to the pedophile claim is that this...ex-boyfriend had come into the picture and had given letters that seemed to show evidence that Travis was a pedophile which were later proven to be forgeries." [I got most of that lol]

What's the whole story about Matt?
He's the one she called when she was pretend-thinking suicide and called him about getting a gun, IIRC.
She was in a official relationship with Matt in 2000-2001, but had sex with him again once per Jodi, more per my thoughts.
She went to work at Vandana's then Matt got hired right after.

Why'd she have to go see him before her trip to Travis's? She slept on the floor sharing one room with Matt and some other guy.
Why would he help her during the pedophile allegations?
He also helped spread rumors saying he saw her with a bruised neck, when today Jodi made it sound like she hardly saw Matt.
It's astounding how many men she revisited and kept in her "tickle file" to get something out of them, IMO.

Do you know if she had any girlfriends? Do you think Travis's friends liked her and thought they made a good couple?

I doubt JA had many female friends. She cannot use her sexuality to manipulate women like she does men. Most females would be viewed as "competition" and Jodi wanted to be the center of everything! I think there may have been a few females that she pretended to be friends with but they were in her life only as long as she could "use" them for some purpose.

I have gotten the impression that TA's friends had begun to see through JA's facade and saw her for the bat-chit crazy chick she really is. JMO
