Pause at 0:39:07... the messages were not placed in the magazine in numerical order...I totally missed this earlier

Jodi Arias Trial - Day 21 - Part 3 - YouTube

Yes, it's true.

That's why she had to connect the dots for everyone else who is not nearly as bright as she.

It couldn't possibly have been deciphered without St. Jodi of Arias providing her master 'key'.

(Nancy Drew, she's not.)

I still wonder whether he will come back and ask her directly for whom the message was intended, and why -- perhaps even charging her with a class 6 felony; i.e., witness tampering as per:

AZ 13-2804

Tampering with a witness; classification
A. A person commits tampering with a witness if such person knowingly induces a witness in any official proceeding or a person he believes may be called as a witness to:
1. Unlawfully withhold any testimony; or
2. Testify falsely; or
3. Absent himself from any official proceeding to which he has been legally summoned.
B. Tampering with a witness is a class 6 felony.

Finally jumping back in after a too long hiatus last night. Had to leave for the chiropractor and then was out all evening, so I missed a lot of the trial. I'm not sure if it was posted already but does anyone have a link for the trial from yesterday? I would be forever indebted to you :please:

Unfortunately I lived with a male version of JA and the reason they never give a straight answer is that they are trying to figure out where you are going with it, in other words they are trying to stay a step ahead of you. FWIW he attempted to kill me when I tried to move on.

Of course I choose a day to take off of work when court is dark. I need to plan these things better. :(

She was on the stand for direct for what, 7 days? There is A LOT to go over to impeach her loooooooooong inane babbling and lies. And it was only the very first day of his cross.

Some have said they had some trouble following what Juan was doing and where he was going with it. Perhaps you weren't able to follow what he was doing and maybe that is why you think it sucked?

I was able to follow, so IMO it didn't suck.

I was not understanding the road we were following at first but I finally got what was going on. I was so busy hearing the words that I missed what was happening. Understand? Once I did I just enjoyed the trip. Juan has got it! The Anthony trial really messed with my trust in the court system. I know I'm not alone here and the shared thoughts and insight are awesome.

I don't think style has anything to do with it. It's strategy. Why go over something she is going to continually deny or give a flip answer to? He knows the answers to all the questions. What he is doing is pinning her down to a committed answer on a lie she has told. One-by-one he can call in witnesses to disprove her lies. She lied about cutting her hand and basically said Ryan was lying. She cut her right hand on the glass and that she never told Ryan it was her left. Well, duh, Ryan could see it was her left hand and that is what he testified to. She just lied and got caught. At the end of his cross he will go back over every lie she told, the finger, the lies she told about Travis, etc. and one-by-one will go down that line. She has told too many. Once he gets a committed answer from Jodi he moves on to the next lie. He is very calculating and way too smart for her. I can't believe other attorneys can't see what he is doing. Very, very smart man. I love it. jmo

i'm picturing the list of lies he'll be able to put into a big presentation for the jury in closing arguments. it will be very, very long. there will be no doubt that jodi doesn't even have a passing acquaintance with the TRUTH.

more importantly, the jury will know by then that she would never, ever cower or tolerate any kind of abuse. she's the abuser. travis was the abused. she manipulated him with sex. they'll see how she acts when her control is threatened and it ain't pretty.

The standard is "Beyond a reasonable doubt" not ALL doubt.
It's too vague IMO, but it has to be what they consider reasonable.

Is it reasonable to believe the sun will rise tomorrow? It's of course POSSIBLE the world will end, and the sun will not rise, but it is not reasonable to believe the sun will not rise.

Questioning my self now - is that a "reasonable" explanation? lol

Remember how one of the Scott Peteson jurors said he thought about that term ' reasonable doubt' a lot. He asked himself 'Reasonable doubt, reasonable doubt... Is this reasonable?'

Big difference between shadow of a doubt and beyond a reasonable doubt.

Ooohhh..we can only hope we see the rage! Of course i would want to be a safe distance away when that happens! Will it be like in the exorcist when her eyes roll back and her head spins around?

Maybe we will witness what poor Travis saw in his final moments. :(

When she was smiling yesterday and being disrespectful to JM and the court, I think we got a little glimpse of it starting to build up.

About her writing, I have read on prior threads that some have noticed Jodi writing with either her right or left hand. Don't most left handers write with a backward slant, or is that not right? There is no slant in her writings.

My sister is left handed and I'm right handed. When we were kids our handwriting was almost identical. Decades later it's still pretty similar. No slant.

It's on youtube. Search for the user croakerqueen. It's in 3 parts (you can filter by what was posted yesterday).

Jodi Arias is such a vile creature. I hope the prosecutor permanently wipes the smirks off Jodi, her mom and her aunt Monday.

In the Casey Anthony Trail, the jurors didn't even get to first base in understanding the difference between direct evidence and circumstantial evidence based on their post trial interviews much less running to second base to understand "reasonable doubt."

I surely hope this jury doesn't have the "CSI Effect" understanding the difference between a circumstantial trial and direct evidence trial.

I've heard morticians (one of them being Ask A Mortician on YouTube) and people who work with the deceased attest that the smell of human decomposition is actually quite sweet, that once you smell it you will never forget it and always recognize it but it isn't what you would assume it is.

Woah, I'm going to say the many times I was standing next to a body, or body part, it was not "sweet" smelling. I can't really describe it, I will say its twice as bad if the person had something like diabetes and there was blackened skin/necrosing tissue.

Friends, I don't even know how much longer I can do this. I can't see her face without wanting to rip it off. I can't hear her voice of lies without wanting to stab my ears with knitting needles. I don't think I've ever had such hatred for a human being. Literally. Ever.

But as we freaks who love trials know, I won't be able to turn away. Sigh...

No such luck as there is no court today. :(

I haven't caught up from last night yet so I am sure my thoughts have been posted here by somebody else.

The attempted smuggled magazines are meant for Campbell who is Donovan's BFF who has been sitting with JA's mother during the trial. I guess it doesn't take Einstein to figure out the flow of information and who was going to get the message to MM.

On another note...
Juan needs to hammer the "battered woman syndrome" theory from the defence into dust. He has to show that JA is no battered woman but the jealous stalker she is. It needs to be made so clear so that when the abuse expert testifies her testimony about JA is nothing but a joke. It is now but it needs to be made crystal clear in case there is that one person on the jury who needs an anvil to fall on them before they understand.

Juan did a great job yesterday of showing JA to be a creepy stalker with a pattern of confrontation. *high five* for that.

What was the name of the documentary that some suggested watching? Dear someone or other. Help!

My father was in Law Enforcement. He said the smell of a deceased person, especially decomposing, is a smell is "unbelievably foul". He says, "Once you experience that smell, one does not forget it."

Ahhh I caught like 20 minutes of the trial yesterday during the finger picture part and IMO it was amazing how JM shoots from the hip and how JA is a smirking little brat on the stand. When she isn't allowed to control the pace or flow and is Caught in her deceit she turns into a b&#*@ which is the exact opposite of what I'd imagine an abused, tormented person who is on trial for killing their friend from self defense.. It makes me mad because who JA pretends she is, a weak and passive pawn in relationships, is how I truly used to be (and sometimes revert back to) and in the face of a man in authority yelling at me I would not become defiant.. Defiance shows confidence and a feeling of superiority. I think if JA was legit she would become sullen, maybe even cry, when being "yelled" at by JM.

I will be watching the trial later on YouTube but I'm curious what the general consensus was about how JM did, how bad JA looked and how many more days of cross are expected? TIA!

I think she loves sparring with JM. It challenges her to be on her toes. It's exciting for her to be up there and feel as if she is controlling the testimony. She can be herself because she believes just because her team may not like the way JM prosecutes that everyone else feels the same way. She has no clue and frankly does not care. When JM mentioned those magazines she acted as if she knew nothing about them. It's clearly her writing but I'm sure she will deny she wrote them so don't give her the chance. That is why he quickly moves on. He's not giving her the chance.

I think Matt is in a lot of trouble and I think her friend from prison is in trouble as well. Wonder what other goodies Juan has for us. I think this is just the tip of the iceberg. I believe Juan is committed to clear Travis' good name for the sake of his family. You gotta love him.

She smiles and smirked way too much in the morning and I'd be willing to bet her team dressed her down at lunch because she was a little more under control later. Jodi is also using the Law of Attraction thinking that whatever she puts out there will come back to her. The problem is what she is putting out there comes from an evil motivation and that is what she will probably get back. jmo
