I haven't caught up from last night yet so I am sure my thoughts have been posted here by somebody else.

The attempted smuggled magazines are meant for Campbell who is Donovan's BFF who has been sitting with JA's mother during the trial. I guess it doesn't take Einstein to figure out the flow of information and who was going to get the message to MM.

On another note...
Juan needs to hammer the "battered woman syndrome" theory from the defence into dust. He has to show that JA is no battered woman but the jealous stalker she is. It needs to be made so clear so that when the abuse expert testifies her testimony about JA is nothing but a joke. It is now but it needs to be made crystal clear in case there is that one person on the jury who needs an anvil to fall on them before they understand.

Juan did a great job yesterday of showing JA to be a creepy stalker with a pattern of confrontation. *high five* for that.

BBM. EXACTLY!!!!! pretty sure he made a dent in that and it will get much deeper before he's done.

also, i expect him to flip those 'experts' and make a convincing case that it if anyone was being used and abused, it was TA. he said 'i'm just a dildo with a heartbeat to you.'

sounds used to me....

Amazing isn't it. I have been wondering who this "person" is for quite some time now. Really hates that attorney for some reason. I think someone might like to talk with a judge, DA or detective and have it investigated. Tampering with Lady Justice is never a very smart move one anyone's part. The Courts seem to get cranky over problems like that for some reason. :floorlaugh:

It is amazing but true. Trolls are not just in fairy tales - they're "what's for dinner!?" I have actually stopped participating much in a few forums here where trolls have even gone steps further- and created their own forums picking on members here ( saying creative license) ( blah) IMHO some maybe are literally digital mercenaries - at others maybe even POIs and the criminals themselves - who try a myriad of tactics. It is scary. I have found that the Ignore/Block feature on WS is a marvelous feature.

As for me I am off for 3 days and have missed many hours of the "testiphony" this week , so I know what I am doing this weekend. ( more snow is coming to CT- ugh) Thank you WSers. I have much catching up to do.

I am looking forward to JM making mincemeat out of the allegations. All I keep thinking is how JA has painted a picture of TA as an abuser. ( I was married to someone-for 22 years who is BP2 with rage and a verbal and emotional abuser) I am sorry for all victims. I dont mean to laugh ...please forgive me.
Every time I think of TA txting... " BullCrap and F***" I LOL. the guy said "bullcrap".... think about it. He was no abuser IMHO She - was and she is.

I just hope and pray that JM can convince this jury that JA has wasted days and days of their time, made a mockery out of true victims everywhere with pure lies, slander, liable, and fabrication.

Finally jumping back in after a too long hiatus last night. Had to leave for the chiropractor and then was out all evening, so I missed a lot of the trial. I'm not sure if it was posted already but does anyone have a link for the trial from yesterday? I would be forever indebted to you :please:

Same youtube user has all three parts.

This is Part One only:

In the Casey Anthony Trail, the jurors didn't even get to first base in understanding the difference between direct evidence and circumstantial evidence based on their post trial interviews much less running to second base to understand "reasonable doubt."

I surely hope this jury doesn't have the "CSI Effect" understanding the difference between a circumstantial trial and direct evidence trial.

There is no circumstantial evidence. Everything points to a premeditated crime. It's good, solid physical evidence. The only one who has weak circumstantial evidence is Jodi because the self-defense claim comes from her. She is the only witness. JM is just proving to the jury she is a liar and they need to disregard her testimony completely. So far JM has done really well. jmo

When I saw Jodi's finger the first time, I said to myself, "BS, this isn't from a kick and possibly broken finger. Her bones are straight as can be!!" When I was 5 years old my mother broke a platter washing dishes cutting her ring finger. It was so deep, the finger tendon was cut. The surgeon screwed up (1959) and let the cut heal before wanting to operate to re attach the tendon. Well the tendon had snapped down into her palm area and could not be stretched up to her finger after so much time had passed. My mother's finger to this day actually looks like the "curved finger with straight bones" that Jodie attempted to show the jury.

My mother and I discussed this extensively. My mother said if she cut so deep like she did to cut that tendon, she would have bleed profusely all over the place. Neither one of us believed she cut her finger so deep to cut the tendon to prevent her finger to flex.

*rolls eyes from both of us*

Physical evidence toward the indication of a crime is circumstantial evidence. Direct evidence is witnessing the crime as it occurs. DNA is circumstantial. Fingerprint is circumstantial.

Just wanted to remind everyone that even though no court is today, Beth Karas will be hosting In Session for 2 hours this morning (not sure when exactly) but she has some very interesting observations of Juan Martinez yesterday and exactly what he was doing and why. she found the whole strategy "brilliant" and thought he was not too aggressive or anything else.

Please if you can watch her, I think you will find her observations this morning as you know I find Beth karas the smartest and most informed observer of this entire thing. But that's just me. ;)

I have never seen anything like her...I mean seriously...she is extremely hostile and arrogant.

was that her old BF in the front row yesterday? I keep thinking she was removing her glasses a lot in order to try and convey a seksi jodi to someone in the stands.

she is despicable and extremely cunning... reminds me of a big centipede or something you try to swat to get rid of and you can't catch it and you are terrified of killing it because it is FREAKING YOU OUT!!!!!

:okay:

I'm off today and court is dark so rather than cleaning the house, I shall watch this. My hubby will be so pleased!

I am so naive. I am amazed at the number of WSers who have posted that they have been in similar relationships with psychopaths like JA. I am so very sorry at what you have had to live through and undoubtedly are still dealing with years later. I know now that I have been blessed in my life. I hope that this trial ends with the conviction that we want and that it can bring you some comfort. I also hope that anyone that is currently in such a horrific situation can draw from the information that is being uncovered and that they find the help to get away.

Sending comfort and peace to you all...

I bit the bullet and watched Nancy Grace Thursday evening. One of her callers brought up something that I hope Juan expounds on. Someone (Juan???) had asked Jodi why she didn't call 911 and report what happened, since it was self-defense, and Jodi said she was too embarrassed or ashamed to tell 911 what she had done. The point being…how could she be embarrassed or ashamed if she had no memory of what she did?

Sorry if this has already been hashed over. I'm trying to catch up on the threads.

Thanks for the heads up! I will be watching. I like BK.

Now I have to find your posts from last night about court yesterday. Do you happen to know any post numbers to direct me? These threads move sooo fast and I know it will take me awhile.

I've done an about face on this case. I bought into the notion that it takes two, and although I never believed TA was a pedo, I thought it was possible he was a jerko supreme to her, and due to her pathology, she flipped her lid.

I watched every day of her testimony, including yesterday. Now, I completely buy in to BritsKate version of why TA continued to even speak to her, how he absolutely couldn't shake her, how having sex with her was a way to keep her soothed and ?contained, and I am certain of his growing fear of her. I think the only way TA could have escaped death from Jodi would've been to go in to a witnss protection program.

Jodi is a very dangerous con, who will kill again, wrapped up in a body and face that could fool many long enough to get too close.

Black's Law Dictionary 5th Edition:
"Direct Evidence: Evidence in form of testimony from a witness who actually saw, heard or touched the subject of interrogation. ....on trial, by witnesses who can testify that they saw the acts done or heard the words spoken which constituted the precise fact to be proved. " Page 414

I watched too and found that to be a brilliant observation. Thanks for bringing it up for those of us who weren't on last night, either not at all or just sporadically, who tend to miss a lot.

Morning sweet Katie!:seeya:

I cant believe the amount of people that have critized Juan Martinez. Have they forgotten that this man has been doing this for three decades now and has won hundreds of cases? It sure seems like it.

Juan had to come out hard and heavy from the very first question. He was going to show JA that her game was over and she didnt contol the courtroom anymore like she did during The Nurmi and Jodi show for 8 days.

He was not going to go in an organized fashion to suit the sociopath. She never knew what question was coming next. Amazing cross.

It is hilarious to see some of these talking heads criticize him when they dont have nearly the win record or experience he does in a courtroom.:floorlaugh:

Thank you for bringing us into that courtroom to be with Travis' family.
