I heard that Arias threw Darryl under the bus. Can someone please tell me what happened? I didn't watch the early stages of the trial.

She said he was an alcoholic.

Don't know about everyone else, but I chose to follow this trial because I'm fascinated by psychopaths. It's been far more interesting for me because she actually took the stand.

For those that had doubts she was a psychopath / sociopath, do you still feel the same? Any doubt now?

IMO what everyone is seeing & commenting on watching Jodi is typical text book psychopathy.

It's really interesting if you hit mute and watch her knowing why she's there... Also fascinating to not look at her and listen to the word salad answers designed for wiggle room.

JM's first day of cross yesterday was brilliant. He shredded the heart of her defense. Remember, she has admitted to the actual killing. The heart of her defense is:

Discovers TA is a pedophile
He beats her and is abusive
Thus broken finger
He's jealous, possessive of her
He makes her do sexual things she abhors
She finally came clean and has been telling the truth since

JM, pardon the pun, sliced and diced through her defense with facts, actual evidence. And that was just the first day. Be patient everyone. The best is yet to come. I can't wait until he confronts her on the crime scene evidence and the pre-meditation evidence.

One of the things I noticed is how nice Travis is to Jodi in the text messages and how he tries to help her out.

It is so unforgivable that she now tries to destroy the very one that was nice to her until he just couldnt take her psychotic ways anymore.

good morning all :seeya:

Im catching up on the posts from yesterday.....but I have a thought.

About the nail salon - and the nails/hair....

I need to see the picture that Travis took of her lying on his bed with her hair in braids. Why????? Because I believe her hands are flat on his bed.... if they are, then we should be able to tell if her nails are done. If they are, then ok, maybe she had them done that day as she says - if they are NOT done - then she ONLY DIED HER HAIR at the salon........

We know she didnt buy the dye (or that we have seen anyway) so I believe that may be the onbly way to know for sure if she is lying about the nails.... I dont remember seeing her nails done in ANY pictures, but then again, I havent really been looking at them and most of her photos are more from the chest up, as opposed to the whople body.

Am I making sense?

So..... anyone want to link me to that picture. PLEASE :please:, I would like to find one that doesnt show her bubbies and her whoohaa.... thanks!

Her hands aren't visible (not nails either) i mean the top of a hand, and the other is obscured. I have them, PM me and I can send them to you

Thanks for the heads up! I will be watching. I like BK.

Now I have to find your posts from last night about court yesterday. Do you happen to know any post numbers to direct me? These threads move sooo fast and I know it will take me awhile.

There is a separate thread for posting on Courtroom observations.

But in this case there is also plenty of CSI evidence. My gosh they even have photos showing when he died and what he was doing just minutes before being murdered and by whom. TOD usually is an guesstimate but not in this one.

Jurors understand CE cases everyday. It is the most common evidence entered in trials. So they get it and this jury will too.

As a juror in the past I prefer CE cases rather than Direct. They really are easier to understand and each peice is linked together until reasonable doubt is no more.

IMO
Most jurors do, I agree. They sure did not under evidence much less circumstantial evidence, based on their post trial interviews, in the Case Anthony Trial. I just died listening to it. I truly don't think they understood the instructions that is for sure.

Friends, I don't even know how much longer I can do this. I can't see her face without wanting to rip it off. I can't hear her voice of lies without wanting to stab my ears with knitting needles. I don't think I've ever had such hatred for a human being. Literally. Ever.

But as we freaks who love trials know, I won't be able to turn away. Sigh...

My son caught me flipping the bird at my IPad as I was watching her testify yesterday. And I did that repeatedly. It was either that or throw my IPad. I know it was stupid, but I couldn't help myself! I detest her.

A view from the inside: observations from our own court observers - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community

Nurse made a new thread just for courtroom observers. Anita Richman will be posting her own notes when she gets up this morning (she had to drive all the way back to Tucson last night...late!). Hers will be amazing as she read me some of them and she took many many notes on the jury.

 I love the fact that he was loaning her money is coming out, and not the other way around!

She just doesn't strike me as a "getting her nails done" type of girl. The only getting her "nails done" is maybe a manicure. I don't think I have ever seen her with "done" nails, or polish or anything. Even the picture Juan put up yesterday showed no polish or anything that I recall.

Is there any court today?

If the blood draining down his back means that his throat was slit, how did he hold his head up in that position? Wouldn't the back of his head be on the floor due to the depth of the cut to his throat? Sorry, I just had that thought while viewing that photo again....

I think she's dragging him by the hair and maybe an arm. JMO

Morning sweet Katie!:seeya:

I cant believe the amount of people that have critized Juan Martinez. Have they forgotten that this man has been doing this for three decades now and has won hundreds of cases? It sure seems like it.

Juan had to come out hard and heavy from the very first question. He was going to show JA that her game was over and she didnt contol the courtroom anymore like she did during The Nurmi and Jodi show for 8 days.

He was not going to go in an organized fashion to suit the sociopath. She never knew what question was coming next. Amazing cross.

It is hilarious to see some of these talking heads criticize him when they dont have nearly the win record or experience he does in a courtroom.:floorlaugh:

Thank you for bringing us into that courtroom to be with Travis' family.

IMO

I said on the other thread but will say it again. There are jurors on that panel who have been waiting for this murderer to be given her due already for weeks now. They will be relieved just as we are to see her get some aggressive cross. There will be jurors who think he was actually too soft on her. THey are not all the same personality. I saw none of them cringing. I guarantee there are some in there in their heads who are saying "Go get her Juan". That's just basic human nature (Beth K even agreed with my notion on this which of course totally made my day lol).

The more I watch her, the more I feel badly for her defense lawyers/team. She most assuredly lies to them too, so how the heck can they even possibly put up a defense for her. I don't think there is a defense team in the world who can assist somebody like Jodi. She is pathological and thinks she has this whole thing figured out, to the point where she is sure she is going to walk. "Not an attorney but I think I know a lot about it..." or whatever she said earlier - that seems to apply to her whole attitude about this trial. Smarter than everybody, "no jury will convict me - mark my words."
She is a piece of work and diabolical like I have never seen before.
